Campground is quiet & staff was pleasant. We stay at KOA's all over the US, & the one criticizim I have is they could step up their cleanup game. We arrived on a Saturday & the trash bag at the dog pen was new. When we left Friday, it still hadn't been changed & it stunk! Lots of little trash all around the Campground & none of the workers had the claw litter pickup sticks & bucket to pick it up!

My friend used the showers and bathrooms and they were not very clean. The only one that was cleaned was the one by the office. Also, ran out of doggie bags and dog poop was not picked up.

We loved it, the views were great on the lake, and the park was well maintained as well as, the hospitality of the staff We’ll be back soon thanks.

The staff was very attentive. This time of year it would have been nice to have the pool open. Unfortunately they moved our site # to a site with more trees making it difficult for us to leave early in the morning with our big rig, and the vehicle that was put on the site we reserved was a small camper van. Fortunately the RV in across the road from us also left early so we were able to get out.

We are repeat guests and stayed in a cabin this time...very nice option and improvement to the grounds! The staff (Sharon and Sandy) were very pleasant and helpful with getting us settled in with our pick up and enclosed car trailer close to our cabin. This is one of our favorite KOA's and we are happy to stop on our annual trips. Overall very clean/organized/great staff/ammenities!

The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond in customer service in every way. Can't say enough about my experience at Santee KOA! Thanks for a great adventure!

We were on site C1. We had a great view. Our stay was very nice. The pool was very dirty. PThere were some permanent campers were an eye sore. They should be made to keep up with their sites and campers. The staff in the office were super friendly and healthful. But we watched as another staff member went right by a beer can 3 days we were there on his golf cart. He didnt pick it up. We did.

The view was awesome, but the bathhouses were disgusting! All the showers were filthy in the ladies room up by the H section, and 3 out of the 4 toilets were not flushed and had poop floating around in them. No ventilation in the shower area and the last shower stall had a vent that looks like it has never been cleaned! Full of dust. I left vm for office prior to them closing, and no callback!

The views were beautiful. The only reason you are getting 4 stars is because the sites are not level. The gentleman that filled our propane and guided us to our site was extremely polite. He didn’t hesitate to change our site to a more level one.

This KOA is located on the shore of Lake Marion. This is not obvious from many of the sites, but a short walk up a small hill and you will find the recreation area where there are Adirondack chairs, a playground, a dock, and lake access. Surprisingly, there is little noise from I-95 at the campsites. Ruby is a highlight of the park as she diligently works to keep the bathhouses clean.

Lovely campgrounds with large spaces. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Will be my regular stop when traveling from Florida to Maryland.

Great cabin. Yummy pizza/wings. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the cabin itself was disappointing. All mattresses slept like a concrete floor to include the pillows. The window and porch ledges were disgusting. It would have been acceptable had it been just some dust but this is months of build up.

We love Santee Lakes! Friendly, accommodating staff, clean, well maintained facilities. We especially love their beach front with all the Adirondack chairs you could ask for. We stay here as often as we are in the area.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location great. The only issue was that the quiet hours were not observed by some guests near us and their loud voices woke us up twice during the night - shortly after 1:00 am and again at 3:00 am

The staff, very friendly! Was a little more rustic than I like. Use to parking on a pad. Lessons dirt in the camper. But we knew that and all was good!

Loyal customers of 6 years but barely go anymore as this place has gone down so bad! Desperately needs upgrades. Pool wasn’t even open. Staff is overworked. No nightly security anymore to enforce quiet time. Playground is a safety hazard, not enough white chairs at lake. No AC in office, they shouldn’t have to work like that. Sandy and Mike Scott are the only 2 good employees left there.

This was our first stay at KOA Santee. You have a well-kept campground. I loved the clean bathrooms, and that you had pizza available at the office. Room for improvement was that there was a group two rows over that played their music really loud all day from when we arrived on Friday until we left Saturday evening. I'm all for people playing music, but at a level that is respectful to others.

Dogs need to be on short leash and not the retractable type. Party's on campsite the music should be at a reasonable level and not loud enough to be heard from across the entire campground. Do away with people paying for permanent sights that don't work for koa. We have always enjoyed this particular campground but don't foresee our family returning. Rules don't exist anymore at this facility.

Nice campground some trash left on site (I picked it up)wooded sites tight , Neighboring campsite had music really load and camper next to us dog barked most of the night other then that would go back

We've always loved this campground, but we will not be back. Campers, at least 5 sites away, brought a full speaker system and played music nonstop throughout our stay. You could hear it at every site in the campground. We couldn't even have a conversation at our site. We were told since it wasn't quiet hours, nothing could be done. Ruined the weekend for countless other families. Bad policy..

Beautiful campsite. Although dont count on any WIFI, it is nonexistent, no technology we had even recognized the Networks that were listed. This is my only issue.

Front desk, guy checking us in was rude at times.. lady was very welcoming... park was ok, only problem they let ppl blast there radios and music loud all across the campgrounds and nobody says anything to them.. 1 and 2 a.m radios so loud we couldn't sleep..

We stayed for one night storm. They should’ve put us to a different site. More in front campground are too congested tight a lot of trees. You gotta be careful before you hit the trees. They said it had gravel pad, which was all sand and messy.

We have been camping here since the early 90's. We had a great stay during a very busy week. First, I called to try to extend a night aware it was busy. We need a long site for our rig. They were able to come up with a nice site. It was good to see the staff again. Mike told us about the future improvements to expect, and we saw several projects going on now. The grand enjoyed riding her bike.

Last minute booking done while driving on 95S. Very friendly staff, clean campgrounds. I loved how we were able to order pizza & wings & have it delivered to our campsite.

Beautiful park close to the interstate, easy in and out. Located on Lake Marion, beautiful beach, scenic views and peaceful. We were in H2 site and had great views of the beach and water. We will definitely be back again
