booked a spot for my pop-up. My daughter and son-in-law and grandkids booked them a tent site. We had an awesome time. You can choose to swim in the lake. there are plenty of lounge chairs in the shade.There is a playground with cornhole. Volleyball. If you do not want to swim in the lake, they have a pool that is 5 foot deep plenty of space to swim. Lots are very shady, everyone is super friendly

Love this campground. The staff are friendly, it is very clean and we slways stop here on our travels between north and south.

The folks moved me to a new location since the site I was given was so far from the restrooms and showers. It turned out to be ideal since the first tent site was in a low lying area and after the thunderstorms was quite wet whereas my new location did much better! Thanks!!!!

Everything was fine except for the putt putt course needs repairs desperately. Also 4 of the 7 washing machines were out of order.

We were there 2 nights and our RV was infested with ants. We had been traveling through different KOAs for the past month and this was the first campground where this happened. We had low water pressure at our site. Our tankless hot water heater requires 50psi at minimum in order to take a shower. This caused an unnecessary inconvenience. Beach lawn furniture was filthy with bird excrement.

I’m not sure if this is a new thing for KOA or if it’s just more common on east coast KOA’s but the golf cart rentals and usage on property is out of control. If this is the direction of KOA properties I will no longer be a customer. Allowing kids to scream around the property with music blasting all hours of the day is not what I’m looking for when trying to get away.

We use Santee KOA several times a year. It's the go-to stop heading north from FL on I-95, and returning from wherever we went. The place has become a little run down since we started coming in 2023. One of the baths is being renovated (and is closed). Not a crisis for us b/c we have bath on board our RV. Several of the sites are no working (electrical); our favorite has been offline for months.

I arrived at 7:30 PM with three kids who I was planning to order pizza for and let them swim for an hour in the pool. I learned the pizza oven had been turned off already and the pool closed at 8 PM. This was a summer Saturday evening. I've been staying at this KOA for probably 25 years as a stopover point for travel between FL and VA. It's really starting to show its age, and the closing time

2nd time staying, everything was good. Sites are ok, all gravel and uneven. Staff was great. This is where we stop coming back from Florida, and convenient to 95. Pizza was good, delivery to site (7:15 PM last order). Will stay again.

Our stay was great friendly staff great prices on stay rentals and food. The only thing for us is that I wished that the people that are there with there dogs would keep them on a leash. We meet some really nice people and some other people that didn't care about my granddaughter being scared of dogs and let them on the playground.. even though a sign was posted no dogs in play area. Third time we tried this place. It does not live up to KOA standards. Pool is crusty, jacuzzi is broken and filled with brown water. No wifi at all . They try to act like “no wifi” is a recent problem, but the wifi was bad all three times. Non existent this time and you can see the broken electrical wiring everywhere. Really needs repairs and renovations. Stay anywhere else.

The Santee Lakes KOA was easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was perfect, it was newly remodeled, clean and gave tremendous views of Lake Marion. The kids enjoyed the beach area, the pool, the basketball court and fishing from the dock. Overall it was a great stay.

Nice park, well shaded sites and plenty of amenities. However, one of the bathhouses was being renovated, and the other was very dirty. Okay for an overnight stay.

There was no wi-fi available and no kids pool available. (Due to construction). The grass was high and the ants were horrible. We had to spray our camper because we were being invaded. Also we signed a no smoking waiver but had to tolerate others smoking weed. Also wish there was walking access to the restaurant next door without having to drive all the way around.

Clean but not well kept. Very little in store. KOA link to camp stated they offered a first responder discount, cashier stated they didn’t. Laundry room has 1 washer that worked.

Our RV as well our neighboring campers had ant infestation inside and outside of the campsite requiring aggressive ant control and cleanup. The website photos show putt putt golf area. However, this is apparently a very old photo. The putt putt was completed unplayable. The laundry facilities had 3/5 broken washers with no signs requiring multiple trips to the office for refunds. Slow sewers.

The campground seems a bit run down. They had a sign apologizing for the mess, but it was more than that. The chairs at the beach were filthy. The pedestals for the power were beat up and falling apart. The mini golf was not usable and should be just tore out so it doesn’t look like an eyesore. about 9:30pm the power on our ( and others) power hookups began to spike. Line 1 ran up to 136+ , line 2 stable at 122. Our surge protector turned off once it hit 132 to protect the RV. called the overnight support and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Manager was not available Saturday. Our $188 surge protector was fried. We would like a refund and reimbursement for damage.

Bed in cabin was supported by a warped piece of wood under mattress. The warp caused my wife and I to roll into the middle of the bed on top of each other. Felt like I was trapped in a giant burrito. Also, there was no WiFi signal available and since we just stayed over night 8pm to 8am we’re were unable to report the WiFi outage.

Beautiful campground. Very friendly and helpful staff up front and the nice lady (Ruby) in the bathroom area. I could tell the bathrooms were constantly being cleaned as the toilets were clean (purple cleaner in toilet) every time I visited. Honestly I was quite impressed.

Well set cabin near the lake. Easy access from I95. Our only complaint was the master bedroom mattress should be replaced.

Nice convenient park right off interstate, clean lots and friendly staff. Waterfront views and a decent boat ramp. Restaurant next door is a good place for a family meal
