we had a beautiful site facing the lake surrounded by trees amd natural beauty. wonderfully relaxing. The staff, especially Mike were attentive.We loved Santee!

Overall all the park was nice. But it could use a good bit of love by the lake. The sitting area with the outdoor seating built out of wood looked really bad. The bathrooms could use some updated work. You can actually see into the next shower stall from the one that I had used.

The stay was great .The camp host and all the employees that we met were very friendly.The only problem we had was the shower room was so hot that you could barely stand to go in there.It was like the heat was turned on highs d they need to put benches in the showers so you have a place to put your clothes and towels

The staff was very friendly and the grounds were clean. I brought an ant issue to the staff (and yes I know we're out in nature) but they had gotten in my tent and bit my mom's legs pretty bad. I just brought it up so they could possibly spray before it happens to anyone else and she didn't dismiss my concern at all. She genuinely responded with concern. I always enjoy staying here.

Great campground, well run and maintained. Nice pool and beach on lake. Also great pizza delivered to your door. Beach would have been nice, if not for the biting flies.Nice for Labor Day, Families but no wild parties. Price reasonable.

We enjoyed our first visit at the Santee Koa however, and we would have loved it if we had the option of getting a larger cabin.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Ants are a big issue , we woke up the first morning with a swarm of sugar ants in our unit. The staff came out and sprayed which helped. Bathrooms do not have A/C except for the front one by the pool. Lake area needs a bit of work. I do enjoy staying here . But feel it is going downhill.

The only complaint I had was the WiFi. The tv’s did not work due to no signal. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. Park was clean and quiet, staff was very polite.

Needsbanlotnof up grading the swings down by the playground are broken the volleyball area was grown up had weeds in it that would hurt your feet. The hot tub was broken.

Informed an employee Saturday morning whin the office opened. about drugs being done on a campsite. She said she would tell manager about it. Nothing was done about the situation. Kids and adults should not have to walk buy people smoking up there site .

Staff was friendly. Sites were very close together and not clean. Walking my dogs I had to avoid poop in multiple areas. Bags were provided in multiple areas. Broken benches and wires coming out of the ground.

Power fluctuations caused the air conditioner to go off. Staff came & attempted to correct the problem but were unsuccessful. Had to run generator to run air conditioner. Some access roads were very rough. These roads & the electrical system need significant attention. Campground shows a lack of regular maintenance & upkeep.

Great location This was our third stay at Santee Lakes. We love the trees and the lake. The facilities are nice. There were ants in the restrooms on our last two stays but otherwise very good

Beautiful campground, very well run. Nice people! Right on the lake, with a beach. We were close to I95, which is great for getting back on the road, but our site was close to the highway, which we could hear in our tent.

Lots of trees and sandy. Could be a little tricky getting out with all the trees pulling a 36 foot fifth wheel but otherwise it was a nice place to stay. I would stay there again.

Sites need gravel. More dirt on top than gravel. Some roads are same condition. A heavy rain would make it difficult. Staff is friendly and courteous. Having hunt brothers pizza on site is a plus. For a one night stop over nice to have that option, and they will deliver to your site.

Could use some work. Roads smoothed out, shrubs trimmed, pool area cleaned. Its quiet and has friendly helpful staff. Easy on and off from 95. Good for a night or two.

Got there about 630 on 8/8/25 and left 8/9/25 around 200 because the ants was awful they got into everything we had, the guy there wanted to give me a jug of spray to spray the area, we wasn't suppose to leave until check out 8/11/25 we are unsatisfied with this koa experience, they did refund me Sunday night and I don't no why they didn't refund me Saturday night to.

Sites were very unlevel front to back. We watch a camper try for 2.5 hours to get their camper level with no success. They packed up and left. The site was so unlevel front to back that their auto leveler wouldn’t work. We had a great view of the lake at our site. WiFi was available but not great. For the price I wouldn’t stay here again

Nice campground. Grounds were clean; sites were kinda close together, but not an issue. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Love the location but the ant problem was really bad. In one day we had thousands of ants in our trailer. They were all over the camp site. Bring lots of bug spray. Also the first day we saw a small alligator in the roped off swimming area and there were no signs warning of that possibility.

Overall we had a great visit. The deluxe cabin was very cute. They could use more cleaning between checkins. The internet was out the entire we were there (4 days). The staff was nice. The location is nice.

Well set cabin near the lake. Easy access from I95. Our only complaint was the master bedroom mattress should be replaced.

Nice convenient park right off interstate, clean lots and friendly staff. Waterfront views and a decent boat ramp. Restaurant next door is a good place for a family meal
