It was clean, The Management and employees were very nice. This KOA was a breath of fresh air after dealing with the rudeness of the manger of the Shelby / Mansfield KOA

We had a bayside pull through site with table and chairs, umbrella, glider and firepit. Great site for our 45' motorhome and tow vehicle. The scenery, breeze off the bay and amenities made for a wonderful stay. Utilized the pool and local information found at the office. Train noise was negligible at our site.

We were happy with our cabin however it was in the back right corner of the camp ground near train tracks, busy road and the car dealership. It was really loud and there were lights from dealership that kept our fire pit area lit 100% of the night. Had I known about these things in this location, I probably would have chose a different cabin location.

For the purpose of having a place to crash while spending two full days at the park, this location worked great and had the best price. I was surprised to see it was not actual mattresses but heavy duty pads of sorts. Also pretty outdated but it served our family well. Kitchen was great for breakfast and snacks.

Cob webs everywhere, in the electric box, gazebo, chairs and table, one laundry was closed reason not given and I had to walk a long way to the next one- I am disabled with asthma and this was difficult when I got to the laundry it was filthy!! There was no change machine so if I had needed more change I would have had to walk all the way back to the office. Staff unfriendly. Pool was nice.

We loved the new bay sites. Spacious and nice view. Staff was friendly and campground was very clean.

Pros: Proximity to cedar point; fun kids activities; clean outdoor areas; nice staff Cons: Not enough dish ware, LOW QUALITY cooking utensils, cabin built to accommodate 8 but largest skillet only 8”, several trim pieces missing, bugs in kitchen lights, vent fans dusty, AC too small to effectively cool unit (even when following instructions), and worst - THE BED MATRESS WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE

Awesome stay. Sites are wonderful. Lots of activities to do as well as being close to Cedar Point. Only issue is playground open til 11 pm and became hangout for older kids late. Very noisy if parked nearby.

Our family spent Fathers Day weekend at The Sandusky/Bayshore KOA and had a great time. The sites were well maintained, as well as the playgrounds, jump pads and the pool. We had kids from 3-21 in our group and we all had a great time. The permanent campers were very friendly, and everyone seemed to have one thing in common.. having a great time. We will definitely be back.

3 night stay at the Bayshore KOA in the amish cabins was great!. All employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered was amazing. Lots of activities for the kids throughout the day It was great staying back at this campground after staying here at least 10 years ago. This is a very nice campground.

The only thing we did not enjoy about this stay was the sewer smell in the one bathroom. Everything else was great. Great staff and we loved our site.

Great place to come back again and again. You always feel welcome, and comfortable. So much better than staying at a hotel, kids get to be kids and love the freedom of playing outdoors. Such a great family way to travel.

Way to overpriced. Shower houses were basic. Grass not mowed at our site. Lots of activities for kids however after paying $160 a night you shouldn’t have to pay for the crafts for the kids to do. Pools were clean and warm. Sites were spacious and clean just not mowed.

Way over priced spot was a letterbox was upcharged 50 dollars for the spot I was told I was getting. Never again. Biggest waste of money. Next time I'll just go to the state park. 170 dollars for 1 night of tent camping. crooks

Sorry you had a bad stay.Unfortunately our office explained that we do not have tent sites in our bay.You were told you can fish in the bay assumed you could tent camp.After demanding to tent in the bay we offered you a full refund but you paid the up charge to tent in the bay. Gm

With almost no one in the cabin area of the park, we were placed in the very farthest cabin….right in the corner by the bright lights of the car dealership, beside the highway, and worst of all beside the train. We knew about the train from a past visit and it isn’t that bad when you’re further in to the park, but this was HORRIBLE! It literally SHOOK our (run down) cabin.

Very nice and clean RV park in close proximity to many attractions. The only reason I rated it low and will not return is the very close proximity to to freight train tracks and trains that travel all hours of the day and night. It was very peaceful and quiet , kids were a little loud on Sat night but it stopped about 12. Restrooms were watched over and very clean. Front desk was courteous and helpful. A little more info upon arriving would be nice didn’t know they sold food.

We had such a Great Time staying at the Sandusky BayShore KOA Campground. Our Cabin was well stocked with the essentials and was very clean and prepared! The Breakfast was Amazing on Saturday, that was prepared for our Family from the KOA Staff. Excellent!! Thank you!! We hope to be back there soon!!

It was very enjoyable but it was very noisey staying by your bounce pillow. We picked that area for the grandkids. Older kids were on that pillow yelling until almost 11 o’clock on Friday. The sign says the area closes at 8. Saturday the noise settled down by 10:00.

It was expensive for what it was. Most things were out of their control. Not busy, which was great! Train was nearby and blew horn early in the AM and late in the evenings daily. The patio furniture was covered in cobwebs and cottonwood. Could have used a blow off when they took us to the site. The bathroom was clean, but the lake flies were out of control.

What is there not to love about KOA Sandusky family/pet friendly camp grounds. Everything you see and posted is what you get! Every staff member and camper had a smile on their face.

Wanted to go see Lake Erie so took our camper and headed north. found this KOA located in the perfect location. Park was large, clean and pet friendly. We visited many local restaurants and bars. Fished everyday from various piers.

This review is based solely on our limited use of the campground. We were in town for a baseball tournament down the street at SportsForce Park, so we spent very limited time at the campground. The campground is less than one minute drive away from the sports complex! It is also less than a 10 minute drive to Cedar Point amusement park. We did not use any of the amenities during our visit, but I can tell you the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our site upon arrival and they took care of it for us without hesitation. We travel with a 36ft TT and were in site 114. The sites around us had plenty of room for large RVs plus plenty of room in between sites. The concrete pads with patio furniture were very nice.
