4. Annie's Canyon Trail

If you want a more moderately difficult trail, try Annie's Canyon Trail. The trail near Solana Beach is a 2.2-mile loop trail with a narrow slot canyon. While the course is relatively easy, climbing the slot canyon portion can be challenging.

If you're an avid hiker looking for a thrilling trail, look no further than the Ho Chi Minh Trail. It's an extremely difficult, short, out-and-back trail that only highly experienced hikers should try. The steepness, narrowness and slippery potential of the trail make it dangerous for any beginner or average hiker.
