Omelettes in a bag

Easy, peasy. Items needed:

  • A medium saucepan w/ water
  • Sturdy quart-size zippered plastic bag
  • Scrambled raw eggs, 1-3 per person
  • Variety of ingredients


Heat water to boiling. While heating provide a ziploc bag to each person and have them scoop whatever ingredients they want in their omelet into their bag. Pour in appropriate amount of scrambled eggs. Seal bag tightly and carefully lay in water so it doesn't splash. Let sit for 3 min in boiling water. Scoop bag out with slotted spoon. Open bag and carefully slide omelette onto plate. CAREFUL - bag and ingredients will be hot. Adult supervision required.
