Tent Reviews

It was good. The staff were all friendly. I just needed a spot for the night passing through. The facilities were nice. The only minor downside is beyond their control: I-80 is nearby and very busy with trucks all night long. The pool is not available, but that wasn't a factor for me (I had no plans to swim).

The entire staff is very helpful. Christina stands out to me as being very pleasant and an excellent ambassador. The new shower and restrooms are a welcome addition to the otherwise dated and tired facilities. I will most certainly stay here again.

Vanessa was very helpful and the new showers were great.

The location is close to the freeway with a ton of highway traffic noise, very difficult to relax. Most of the space is not shaded with trees, making the space hot and unpleasant in the summer months.

Nice campground. And pleasant people.

Good stay. The only negative was the men's main bathroom and showers smelled like a vault toilet, raw sewage smell.

The bathrooms need a deep clean, lots of mould in the showers.

Tent sites had electricity which was a plus. Showers were clean and water was hot. Check in when using the app was fast and efficient.

Too close to the highway . Semis echoing off the storage tank facility next to it and the mountain behind it. Now I know how homeless feel living under bridges , no sleep . Put the place off the main highway a little ways it’s a parking lot not a campground. I’ve been to KOAs in a lot of states it’s the worst, should have got a hotel.

Great spot with decent amenities. Bathroom needed some attention but still overall it was fine.

All gravel, no shade camp spots. Good for RV with full hook ups. Terrible for tent or van. Very expensive. Bathrooms clean. The only saving grace is the wonderful BLM lands behind the campground which are awesome !

We were skeptical after reading some of the comments about the tent sites. Very pleasantly surprised it was very nice and clean easy to set up.

Dusty, dry, no grass on the tent pad - only weeds and stickers. Bathrooms are worn and in disrepair. Website states pool is being worked on but there was absolutely no sign on construction. Dead trees in adjoining tent sites. Minimally stocked store. We stayed a 7 KOAs during our 2 week vacation. This one is hands down the worst that we stayed at.

Staff were helpful, bathrooms clean but the site is very noisy overnight and we had the worst night sleep of our holiday.

Quiet, clean, right off the highway, bathrooms clean and well kept. Great camping place!

I stayed there for a night on my way through. The tent sites are very cute and the owners were kind enough to delay my reservation for a day when I ran into car trouble. I would stay here again.

Easy to make a reservation. The staff called back right away. Price is ok. Bathroom is pretty cleanlication is easy to find and close to gas station and town for food and grocery.

Friendly staff, good service. Enjoyed privacy fence around the tent site and awning over the table for shade. Was disappointed that the “grass” tent pad was a dust pit. My dog enjoyed taking dust baths, but my van is now full of dust. There are trees around the tent sites, but it’s just a dry, dusty, rocky area. It’s much like the surrounding area, so I can’t be too mad.

We booked by what was represented on the website. There was no grass tent beds. Pool was broken down & not working. The noise from the freeway was absolutely unbearable. Thanks for offering ear plugs!

The site was okay for one quick overnight stay in a tent. However, it was extremely noisy with overnight traffic on I-80 and trains rumbling by. I love the sound of a train once in awhile, but these trains vibrated the ground frequently throughout the night. Sorry.

We stopped here for the night on our way to the big hard enduro race in Idaho. Having read some of the reviews on the way we were pretty much expecting the worst. Like any campground, if you got stuck in the worst spot you'd probably not be too thrilled, however, we were in probably one of the largest and most private spots we've had at any KOA. The gravel was even and had a nice, large paved area. There was also a picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, a large fire ring, and another bench, all within a privacy fence. The view of the mountains was great. The super nice manager went out of her way to let my husband know about the large amount of off-road trails that lead directly from the campground. We had no idea you could ride from there, it made sense because the place was filled with outdoor enthusiasts; side by sides, mountain bikes, etc. The place did not seem rundown or overgrown to me, nobody walking through our campsite or anything weird like that. Yes it is the high desert so if you're expecting grass you're a bit out of touch. We did not use any of the amenities so can't speak to that. We would definitely stay there again if we were driving through, and make sure we bring all the toys.

UPDATE 6/7/26: This location is one of our favorites and we have stayed several times in the deluxe cabins as well as several times in the RV sites. Staff is still amazing and it is still a great stop. ORIGINAL POST: This was an overnight stay on our way home. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins that has a full bath and shower. It was a great cabin. This park is quiet. The RV sites are all gravel, and some sites have a privacy fence with a nice patio and fire pit.l The tent sites are really nice. Some have a gazebo, but all have grass and privacy fences. There are 5 deluxe cabins and I believe there were 5 small cabins that have no bathroom. The pool was covered, but in the summer it would be great. There is a nice playground, basketball court and horseshoe pit. The staff was so nice. The office store had a lot of items available. Simple but great KOA. We have stayed here several times in a trailer as well. We've stayed in one of the water and electric sites, and we just stayed in a 30A FHU site. It was still a great place to stay and stay is wonderful. All the bathrooms were very clean. If you need an overnight stop, this would be a great location.

Had a nice heated pool that's open for these kids. Enough said 🤣… clean courteous and pricing felt reasonable.
