Overnight stay while traveling through the area. Michael assisted us in the office and was very accommodating.

The sites are too close together and having our neighbor's smelly sewer by our kitchen was not pleasant. This was by design since each site is pull through alternating entry which put our front door to our neighbor's front door with one picnic table in between. Who's table was it?

Very nice campground. We rented a deluxe cabin and it was very nice. The negatives were: 1. AC was not on and cabin was not cool until 10:00 pm. 2. Young man who checked us in explained rules so fast was difficult to follow. 3. Purchased magnet priced on the magnet as $5.99. When scanned, price scanned as $10.39. After he called Manager price was changed 4. No sheets for bunk bed.

Friendly professional staff. Maybe compact the rock in the site BEFORE you rent to someone with a large class A.

Overall, a nice place to spend the night but aesthetically not very appealing.

Nice and wuiet. Facilities were super clean

The campground staff were very courteous! Looking at a satellite image you'd think the area would be a dust bowl; however, the ground cover is actually creek stone and gravel. Don't expect any shade trees, there aren't any. Curiously there is a rather large area dedicated to extended stay campers. Our campsite was adjacent this extended stay area, but everything was fine. Absolutely no problems!

Convenient location for an overnight. We'll kept. Dog park needs work. Can only enter small dog section by going through the big dogs. No grass here but probably due to location.

Zero privacy between spots, super dusty/dirty and depressing all-around. We checked in stayed for one hour and just left. It was that bad. Stay here only as a last resort.

Enjoyed Rock Springs. This campground is very convenient to the local area. The entire campground is gravel. It was windy during our stay and sometimes dusty. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again when in the area.

Had a great stay. Level pads. Thanks.

Easy in and out, near convenient refueling

I wish your KOA would have recycle bins, at least for cans.

The campground was very well maintained, great help from employees,

Rustic, and that is generous.
Aug 09, 2025
It was fine for one night but the site was very un level and took way too long to set up because of that. Management should do a better job at filling in holes at a site.

We only stayed one night. While we were there we used the pool, which was very nice.

Nice location with easy hwy access - trade off being the truck noise. Not horrible when you have AC running. Dogs loved the dog run! Staff was very nice. Used the laudry facilities - which was very handy. Spot was level for us. Would stay again.

Tent sites had electricity which was a plus. Showers were clean and water was hot. Check in when using the app was fast and efficient.

Too close to the highway . Semis echoing off the storage tank facility next to it and the mountain behind it. Now I know how homeless feel living under bridges , no sleep . Put the place off the main highway a little ways it’s a parking lot not a campground. I’ve been to KOAs in a lot of states it’s the worst, should have got a hotel.

Staff was great to work with. The pool was refreshing and the AC unit provided a very pleasant breeze . For my traveling purposes it was a great place to stay and conveniently located for re supply .

I was on the road and only stopping overnight. check in was easy and the site was level and the right size for my rig. I didn't have to unhitch, just change over the electric and hook up the water.

Women’s showers had black mold and mildew in the corners. The shower curtains were ripped. Not KOA standards.

Great place to stay friendly people

Showers were out of order, the closed in patio we had, the fence door would not latch and the wind picked up in the evening and slammed the gate shut and a piece of wood flew off and hit me in the leg.

The privacy at the tent sites is a very nice touch!!!

As always its comfortable, great easy access, the staff are super polite and nice and we will be back

Very desolate and depressing. Gravel everywhere. No trees, excessive wind and not able to connect to free WiFi. Understand location causes most these problems. It wasn’t inviting at all. Staff were great. Very efficient and friendly. Just the aesthetics were depressing and NO WiFi was the worst. My dog definitely didn’t like the all gravel part.

One night stopover. Almost $80 with my KOA membership. What did I get, a dirt/gravel site almost touching my neighbor with hookup that were so close together, we could not have hooked up our sewers at the same time. It’s a sad dusty KOA that charges way too much for what you get. Should have stayed at the Walmart parking lot up the road. Same ambience. If it had been around $40 I would be bett

Your location is very convenient and the dog park was a nice feature. I felt rushed as I arrived and would have appreciated being taken to my site as other KOA's do since your facility is so large.

Nice and quiet, could maybe get a Pepsi vending machine?
Aug 03, 2025
The stay itself was fine, the facilities are well managed and our site was perfectly acceptable. Really didn't like the wind blowing the dust over from whatever industry is happening across the road! Not something y'all can control but the proximity to that industry means we won't stay here again.

Dirty and run down. Reserved a pull in site as it was just an overnight stay. The site was too short for us to actually stay hooked up, pulling a 25' with a ram 1500 so we were definitely not overly long. Campground had many open sites we could have gone into but wouldn't allow is to move. Camp site also shared campsite with neoghbor, they were there 1st and took over the picnic table. Bad!

This KOA looks the same as it always has…no improvements. The only reason it’s busy is because of its proximity to I80. Biggest complaint is the smell of the water. It has a chemical/mineral smell. Overpriced, unsightly and just a sad camping spot.

Good place to stay during travels

Excellent!

Deluxe cabin was great and more than our expectations. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wish there had been a fire ring. More trees would help with some ambiance

Older facilities. Open area, dusty. Not much for kids to do.

Most of the sites are buddy sites and you share the common area outside your door with another family. I don’t want to be forced to interact with strangers after a long days drive. I found this out before we got there and was able to upgrade to a private site with no sharing, for an extra $30, but had I not known about this beforehand I would not have been happy at ALL. Overpriced as well!

Nice friendly staff and safe place.

The office staff was helpful (although they did not know what a "Road Atlas" was). The regular pull throughs are basic gravel which is okay for a single night in transit. It would help to have two "Camp K9" as there were numerous dogs in the park. Unfortunately, at 5:30 am, we awoke to the sound of generators as the electricity went out in the park. The power was off for 2 hours.

We stopped here for the night on our way to the big hard enduro race in Idaho. Having read some of the reviews on the way we were pretty much expecting the worst. Like any campground, if you got stuck in the worst spot you'd probably not be too thrilled, however, we were in probably one of the largest and most private spots we've had at any KOA. The gravel was even and had a nice, large paved area. There was also a picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, a large fire ring, and another bench, all within a privacy fence. The view of the mountains was great. The super nice manager went out of her way to let my husband know about the large amount of off-road trails that lead directly from the campground. We had no idea you could ride from there, it made sense because the place was filled with outdoor enthusiasts; side by sides, mountain bikes, etc. The place did not seem rundown or overgrown to me, nobody walking through our campsite or anything weird like that. Yes it is the high desert so if you're expecting grass you're a bit out of touch. We did not use any of the amenities so can't speak to that. We would definitely stay there again if we were driving through, and make sure we bring all the toys.

UPDATE 6/7/26: This location is one of our favorites and we have stayed several times in the deluxe cabins as well as several times in the RV sites. Staff is still amazing and it is still a great stop. ORIGINAL POST: This was an overnight stay on our way home. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins that has a full bath and shower. It was a great cabin. This park is quiet. The RV sites are all gravel, and some sites have a privacy fence with a nice patio and fire pit.l The tent sites are really nice. Some have a gazebo, but all have grass and privacy fences. There are 5 deluxe cabins and I believe there were 5 small cabins that have no bathroom. The pool was covered, but in the summer it would be great. There is a nice playground, basketball court and horseshoe pit. The staff was so nice. The office store had a lot of items available. Simple but great KOA. We have stayed here several times in a trailer as well. We've stayed in one of the water and electric sites, and we just stayed in a 30A FHU site. It was still a great place to stay and stay is wonderful. All the bathrooms were very clean. If you need an overnight stop, this would be a great location.

Had a nice heated pool that's open for these kids. Enough said 🤣… clean courteous and pricing felt reasonable.
