Campground Reviews

Great if overnight stay. Bathrooms were beautifully clean. Spaces large but situated behind petroleum tanks so not pretty to look at.

Its ok. Good overnight stay

The campground was very noisy from the highway. The sites are very close to each other

Nothing but dirt, sand and gravel. Definitely not what we are used to for a KOA camp. Dog walk area was a joke, holes in fence and so much dirt and gnarly weeds. Not a quiet place to stay, loud traffic coming and going in camp at 5:30 am.

Very clean and comfortable accommodations for our night sleepover. Thank you!

The front desk was friendly and helpful and they delivered firewood to our site quickly.

Good spot passing through from Northern Wyoming to Colorado. Services were good. Some I80 noise but not too bad. Good restaurant a couple miles away Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse. One feature was a bit unusual. We use 30 amp electric and next to us was a 50 amp user. In this case our RV entry doors faced each other which limited privacy.

The 1st time we stayed here we were at a regular pull thru site. These are awful. Set up as buddy sites but with strangers. No privacy. Hard for dogs. Dog park is awful. Came back and had a patio site. This is the only way to stay here!

Great Pizza

first thing the staff are very helpful and friendly! The location is handy right off the highway with easy fueling nearby for the next mornings traveling. The grounds are pretty sparse and dry for a camping location but it is what it is.

We had a great site. Private patio. Personnel recommended a nice drive to flaming gorge. Shows were clean.

The sites were so close together. The bathroom/shower was clean but in need of a little repair.

One of the best bathrooms so far! A small little campground. But plenty for the kids to do.

We were happy to find a KOA on a barren stretch of I-80 but, it is basically a very unattractive gravel parking lot with fist size gravel. Unlike most KOA's the whole park is in dire need of upkeep/painting and virtually no greenery. Watched a poor pup get scared to death when he got stuck trying to go thru a gaping jagged hole in the doggie park gate. This park does not deserve the KOA name!

Friendly staff. Clean grounds. Accommodating manager (we got sick and couldn’t return as planned). Highly recommend based on the people who own/work here.

Conveniently located. Clean bathrooms and showers, would’ve been helpful to have a shelf to put shower items on. Liked the separation in the dog park to keep little dogs away from big dogs. Convenient pull through, appreciate the dish cleaning sink area.

Friendly staff, bathrooms are clean, and varying levels of campsites-basic to private, fenced concrete patio.

This was the first time I've stayed in a Lodge. I've stayed in many KOA's with my RV. I won't be staying in a Lodge again, if I can help it. The lodge itself was cute and clean, but the mice kept me up all night, especially when one ran across my bed. The office staff laughed it off, basically telling me I should expect that in the country. Duh, I live in the country but keep mice out.

Lots of room to pull in and set up. Great open area around the park to exercise our large dog.

Gals in the office were so helpful in answering our questions. Very friendly.

Great location, easy on/off the interstate. Our site was a premium site with paved patio, firepit, adirondack chairs and table. We stayed 3 nights. Laundry was very clean. Office staff so friendly. I would stay here again.

Nice park. Stayed 1 night, and was later getting in so did not have any interaction with staff other than the phone call to let us know that the office was closing, and where to find the map, and park info. Gravel roads and sites, loose gravel pulling into the sites made it somewhat tough to get into the site. Sites are very close together door, to door and back to back.

very desert like fee; no grass. Sites had plenty of room in front, snd back, but were too close on these Also did not case for the Jck and Jill style of parking.

not a very pretty campground

The Jack and Jill parking site arrangement threw me a little but the staff promptly helped me out and I was soon parked and relaxing. The scenery isn't spectacular, but it is Rock Springs, WY. An excellent place to stop while traveling. This was my third stay. It would also be great for exploring the area.

Perfect place for an overnight stop.

Accessing the campground was easy. The after hours check-in/registration process was simple. The park was well kept and very clean.

ZERO for this campsite and the complaining staff. It's a very run down and depressing KOA. Horrible rock/dirt/no trees no grass/over priced and sits off the I-80 on a lonely plot of land like a dump site. Go to a few other RV parks nearby. EVEN THE LOCALS will tell you it's the WORST. A Walmart parking lot would be better than this campsite. The owner should be ashamed

Our overnight stay was really very good. (I'd like to stay a few days at some stage.) The K9 area was great for our puppy but the gate has an opening in it from a bad board and my pup almost escaped through it. Other than that she had fun running around. Sites are very level and we didn’t need to unhook our truck which was great for our early start the following morning. Bathrooms are clean.

No water hook up as adjacent campers took the only hose bib. Site was 3.5 inches off level front to back. Dirt/mud around hook up side. Wish I could send you the pictures I took.

We stopped here for the night on our way to the big hard enduro race in Idaho. Having read some of the reviews on the way we were pretty much expecting the worst. Like any campground, if you got stuck in the worst spot you'd probably not be too thrilled, however, we were in probably one of the largest and most private spots we've had at any KOA. The gravel was even and had a nice, large paved area. There was also a picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, a large fire ring, and another bench, all within a privacy fence. The view of the mountains was great. The super nice manager went out of her way to let my husband know about the large amount of off-road trails that lead directly from the campground. We had no idea you could ride from there, it made sense because the place was filled with outdoor enthusiasts; side by sides, mountain bikes, etc. The place did not seem rundown or overgrown to me, nobody walking through our campsite or anything weird like that. Yes it is the high desert so if you're expecting grass you're a bit out of touch. We did not use any of the amenities so can't speak to that. We would definitely stay there again if we were driving through, and make sure we bring all the toys.

UPDATE 6/7/26: This location is one of our favorites and we have stayed several times in the deluxe cabins as well as several times in the RV sites. Staff is still amazing and it is still a great stop. ORIGINAL POST: This was an overnight stay on our way home. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins that has a full bath and shower. It was a great cabin. This park is quiet. The RV sites are all gravel, and some sites have a privacy fence with a nice patio and fire pit.l The tent sites are really nice. Some have a gazebo, but all have grass and privacy fences. There are 5 deluxe cabins and I believe there were 5 small cabins that have no bathroom. The pool was covered, but in the summer it would be great. There is a nice playground, basketball court and horseshoe pit. The staff was so nice. The office store had a lot of items available. Simple but great KOA. We have stayed here several times in a trailer as well. We've stayed in one of the water and electric sites, and we just stayed in a 30A FHU site. It was still a great place to stay and stay is wonderful. All the bathrooms were very clean. If you need an overnight stop, this would be a great location.
