During Hot August Nights, cars are “cherry” and cruisin' is “cool.” It's the largest classic car and nostalgic event in the country and encompasses the entire region! Restored hot rods and sexy muscle cars give enthusiasts a first-hand experience of popular decades gone by. Show-n-Shines, nightly cruises, drag races and burn-outs, swap meet, sock hop and prom are a few of the “cool” activities. The best performers from the era provide headline entertainment.

Black Rock Desert Burning Man is a practice in community and an annual gathering of more than 60,000 "BURNERS", who meet in the Black Rock Desert of northern Nevada to create art, exchange ideas and participate in the burning of the Man

The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest-free hot-air ballooning event in the world. It began in 1982 with only 20 balloons and has grown up to 100 balloons each year. It is a visually spectacular event to see all of these beautiful balloons floating above our city of Reno. For the early riser, join the Largest Pajama Party for the Glow Show and the wonderful Dawn Patrol. (They start at 5am).
