Renfrew Ottawa-West KOA Journey is a wonderful starting point for many amazing destinations.
There are several whitewater rafting companies that accommodate the skilled rafter and the gentle rafting trips for the family.
Our campground is minutes away from the NHA/NHL Birthplace Museum in Renfrew.
If golfing is your passion Renfrew Golf Course, Oaks of Cobden, Dragonfly Golf Course, and many more, are just a few minutes away.
We are approximately an hour west of downtown Ottawa where you can visit the Parliament buildings, the many museums and explore the Canadian Capital.
Bonnechere Caves, which is just outside of Eganville, is a wonderful and educational tour. There is also a wonderful walking trail in Eganville where finding fossils is very easy.
When visiting the local farmer's Markets and produce stands in the area you may find some amazing treats, and many specialty shops along the way.
In the fall you will get a view of a lifetime from Foymount which is approximately 40 minutes away. It is the highest inhabited point in Ontario. Nature will give you a breathtaking view of the Fall glory.

The McDougall Mill Museum is located in Renfrew. It is open daily in July and August. Tours are welcomed any time from June through September. Enjoy displays of early pioneer tools, machinery and household articles. Also included is a military section, Victorian costumes, doll exhibit, collections and toys.
Bonnechere Caves gives guided daily tours at frequent intervals. Enjoy viewing twisting passages, stalactites, and fossils or coral and sea creatures that were first discovered in 1853 and opened in 1955. Our park's most valuable attraction is the 156 acres of plush forests and our spring fed lake. Sunrise and sunsets are tranquil even when the loons are chatting to each other.

For the outdoor enthusiasts who love a great scenic hiking trail be sure to check out the hidden gem in Renfrew. The K&P trail which runs from Kingston to Pembroke is such a beautiful area to explore. You can use it for biking, hiking or walking. Be sure to check out the great information available online and be sure to check for any permits that may be required. Minutes away from the Campground and easily accessible.

The John Egan Geoheritage Trail is located approximately 35 minutes from the Renfrew Ottawa-West KOA Journey. The trail is well manicured and is 1.4 km circular trail it takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. The trail has a beautiful dog park right near the entrance and parking area. The trail is renowned for the accessible and easily obtained fossils. Take your pet for a romp in the park and go for a nice hike.
There are many little specialty shops in the area as well as a great ice cream shop for those warm days.
Bonnechere Valley museum is a must to check out on your travels.
