General Campground Information

Fall Office Hours

To all campers, we highly recommend calling if you are going to be late in arriving.  Fall season is upon us and has staff numbers are reduced.  We may not be fully available to answer the phone so please leave a message. Each office staff member has more to do so being out of the office does happen.  If you are arriving later in the day please call to advise staff so they are available for you.
I hope everyone has had a great summer. Looking forward to wrapping up the 2023 season and planning for 2024 has already commenced.

A Little bit about our Renfrew Ottawa-West KOA Journey

Renfrew Ottawa-West KOA Journey is a little piece of paradise.  Our campground is situated around beautiful Yuill's Lake. Enjoy your coffee listening to the birds and frogs, watch the tadpoles swimming in the lake.  The wildlife is very present - loons, herons, and turtles just to name a few.
Make memories with the children catching their first fish, seeing their first bullfrog, building a sand castle or building a fire.

Fireban Lifted

Fireban has been lifted in our area.  We are remaining very vigilant about small fires and keeping our park and forest safe.  Wood must be purchased from the campground and not be brought in from other sources, another means to keep our lush forests giving back to us time and again.

Boat Rental policy

At the Renfrew Ottawa-West KOA Journey we provide paddle boats, row boats and canoes for rent which gives you an opportunity to explore :Yuill's Lake and maybe do some fishing.  Rentals are for 1 hour. Lifejackets are provided with the rental and must be worn in the vessel. An Adult must be in the vessel on the lake and must be the one to rent the boat at the office.
We ask everyone to be mindful of water safety and be considerate to other swimmers, and boats on the lake.  Rentals are $12.50 per hour.

Firewood Policy

Renfrew Ottawa-West KOA Journey has firewood delivery and can be purchased at the office.  We strongly encourage campers to not bring firewood into our park to maintain the integrity of our forests.  Transporting firewood highly increases the likelihood of spreading disease and pests to our cherished forest.

Returning Attraction for 2023

The Labor Day long weekend has long since been one of the busiest weekends in the park. Halloween!! It's been creepy and spooktacular.  The outdoor decor speaks volumes and the decorating skills in the store by staff goes above and beyond.  Kids can be kids and safely go trick or treating; we often had surprise visits by many spooky and terrifying characters:  The Grim reaper often appears and disappears without a trace.
This year our favourite and most requested event will be returning.

Staff has been giving it their all to bring back the HAUNTED FOREST WALK.  It's terrifyingly fun and keeps you on your toes. If you can make it through the walk without screaming, we will be very, very surprised.

The weekend continues with our final big bang events of the summer: spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast, kids game, 50/50 draw for our fundraising events.

If you are thinking of camping, we have lots of dry camping sites available.  Please call the office to make arrangements.

Limited Wi-Fi

Please note that the WI-FI in the park is not available at all sites.  If you choose to bring your satellite or other connections to improve your connection to the internet, please advise staff so we can do our best to put you on an adequate site.
Wi-Fi is available for use at the main building and the seating areas in the games room, laundry room, and outdoor seating area.

Meet Your Hosts

G'Day Eh!

We treat our campers like family and are quick with smiles, advice or even a laugh or a hug.
