The Raton KOA Journey was our stop for the night on our way to and from Estes Park, CO. We reserved a pull-through site with full hookups. The site was gravel and fairly flat and level, and easy to get in and out. This campground was also apparently the only place in Raton where you could refill your propane tanks, which was convenient.

Nice quiet place. Our particular site was very private. Easy check in and out.

Campground very neat and clean. Staff friendly and professional.

Not big rig friendly. The exit was definitely round about with trees scraping the coach. Did not appear to have the amenities to quality campground for “Journey” level.

Great for overnight stay. We were in site 15 and camper in site 14 was only 2 feet away. Loud talking and tv noise was a bit annoying. Bathrooms are older and could use a deep cleaning. Office staff was very nice.

Good location for our journey. We drove north from Roswell and it was the perfect location for an overnight before crossing into Colorado. Quiet site and had pretty purple flowers near us. We would stay there again. Employees were friendly and helpful.

We originally booked for just one night but due to mechanical issues we ended up staying 8 days. Grant, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating. We look forward to a return visit.

Grant is a great host. Clean campground and restrooms. Definitely recommend.

Everything worked fine and the manager on duty was friendly. The place overall looked run down and in need of rejuvenation. Our purpose was to spend a night on the way through and it worked fine for that.

Needed a quick over night spot was simple and quick.

Safe, friendly place to tuck in for the night.

We stayed at a pull-through, 50A, full hookup site for one night while traveling. It was a relatively flat gravel site with sufficient room for pulling in and out. I would have preferred a flat, level concrete pad for $60/night, but it was OK.

Mine was a one-night stop while travelinig, so I didn't use many of the campground amenities, but my campsite was clean and level, the price was reasonable, and the host, Grant, is very friendly and helpful. I was able to easily access the propane station upon arrival to fill my bottles, and Grant did the heavy lifting for me. I have stayed at this KOA several times before and it is always good.

This location was a great overnight stay on our trip from Texas to Colorado.

I always look forward to my return to this KOA. It is a bit rustic, but as an overnight stay it is just fine.

Good location in town. Nice campground. Friendly staff.

The grass around our campsite was loaded with mosquitos, should be sprayed. The campground is clean, all site fixtures work, the manger friendly. We will stay there again.

The campground is well run with friendly people but it needs to be updated - the entire campground seems tired and old

Easy to get to off US 87 and I25. Office was closed when we got there but soon opened. Sites are gravel and close to each other but everything works, WI-FI is excellent and there are great places to walk the dogs. Perfect for an overnight.

Check in easy do not like the office being closed in the middle of the day. If you get there at 1:45 pm you wait until they show up back at 2. Stop sign once you get in because alley has right of way.

It’s clean but it definitely needs to be upgraded. It was very noisy throughout the night. Got very little sleep.

We love Grant the owner of the Raton KOA. The last trip home we were forced to drive further past Raton, it was Jan and snowing. We called Grant and asked if we could winterize there and drive on. Without hesitation Grant said of course, come on in and gave us a site to winterize. We asked Grant how much we owe him, and he would only accept $20. He is an amazing person N welcoming every time!

The park is absolutely wonderful. Quite & relaxing It was pretty much empty during the day but would fill up by evening still very peaceful. The showers are spacious with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed so much we extended our stay Will definitely stay again when in this area.

The picnic tables need to be replaced , there was no grass by site. This is a older koa ,rate for overnite reasonable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended a excellent restaurant not far walking distance from koa.

It's hard to believe all the positive comments about this Park! This KOA should NOT even be named a KOA! Lousy, Poorly maintained Park! Major ELECTRICAL CODE violations on the Power Hookups. Very Dangerous and UNSAFE! Don't Plan on taking a Shower in your RV, Pressure is so low, you will be lucky to flush your toilet! WE won't be back. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS KOA!

I've stayed at this KOA multiple times. Easy in and out. Restrooms and laundry are quite nice. Not a garden spot as far as landscaping but quite adequate if you are passing thru!

Second time staying in the cabins and deeply appreciate how clean they are! The restrooms are very close - traveling alone with kids - it's very safe, and my favorite: very clean! Quiet, nice little dog park, my kids think the covered wagon in the playground is the coolest thing lol :) Cabin amenities were top notch. Always enjoy our stay here.
