A year later, and we’re still just as impressed with the Raton, NM KOA! This was our second stay, and once again, everything was wonderful! This year, we brought the family along, and we really appreciated how accommodating they were in placing my in-laws’ camper so close to our cabin. My KOA Kabin was comfortable with lots of room for parking, and a picnic table and grill outdoors. Clean showers and laundry. Nice friendly staff. This campground is quiet and has a nice set of amenities. Convenient location.

The bath house was nice and clean, the cabin was easy to find with our late arrival, there was lots of cobwebs, the full size bed was not comfortable (felt the boards underneath), the night we stayed it stormed and the rain was coming in around the door.

The men's bathroom lock failed from night through morning. It worked a couple times in the afternoon when we first arrived. We were not informed there was another bathroom that was not locked. That put a damper on the stay. Everything else was fine until then.

We always enjoy our stay at Raton KOA. Easy check-in, fast & friendly service, & easy pull through spaces. We also have family stay in a cabin, & it’s perfect for them. Shower & laundry facilities are clean & well-kept. Staying here is about 1/2 way to where we’re going, so we stay both going to, & coming back from vacation. This was year 7 for us to stay here, so yes - we recommend Raton KOA

Friendly service but the campground wasn't well maintained. Cabins we stayed in were OK but other sites seemed old school - not lots of room, poor layout. I would not stay there again.

The staff are wonderfully friendly, but the website claims there is a game room, which was closed. This game room should be opened since it would enhance people's good time while staying there.

I always have good experiences at this koa. It is clean, quiet, and check in/check out is easy. The hospitality shown by the Robertsons makes this feel like a home away from home and provides rest for body and soul.

The little cabin was very clean, such a delightful cabinThe one issue I had is the heater did not work well at all and we were very, very cold to the point I packed up and left at 4 AM

It was just a one night stay this time, but we already decided we want to stay longer and more often in the future. Check in and out was easy and the facilities were clean and in good repair.

It was very nice stay, Grant very helpful, this ground has everything to chill and relax in this fast paced world. Don’t be in no hurry, If you love your dogs stay here, Rate are reasonable for sites, cabins and just camping, nice grocery stores across the street, Raton,NM quiet little town. Outdoors people will enjoy and relax. Thanks Grant

At first l thought the cabin was a little overpriced. Then l broke out with the telescope and saw things in the night sky l haven't before - that made it all worthwhile. A hotel room is cheaper but an individual cabin let me do my own thing.

The location was perfect for us and the furbabies. It was the first time staying in one of the cabins, and for how cold it was outside, it kept us nice and warm. Location was clean, safe, and had an amazingdog area close by

The cabin was nice and warm when I arrived. They're doing upgrades in the bath house, which is good. Grant at the front desk was kind and helpful. I plan to stay here again.

We booked the camping cabin and arrived late. All of our information for our stay was left in the night registration box upon arrival. The cabin was clean & quiet. It was just what we needed after a long drive. The bathrooms were clean as well. We even saw a deer making herself at home in the campground. Grant was friendly and helpful the next day upon checking out.

Check in after hours was confusing. Stayed in the cabins and the restrooms close to them were closed for renovation. The double bed in the cabin was extremely uncomfortable and thin. A good bed on amazon only costs $250. The people in the cabin next to us had two canopies and all there stuff was unkept with trash everywhere. The cabins are at the entrance and it made it look trashy.

my cabin was super quiet, which i needed for a good night sleep. (had job interview the next day). stayed 3 nights to house shop Raton. central bath was spotless, showers were hot! other guests were very friendly.

stayed in a basic cabin which was nice but unfortunately the closest bathrooms which were on the side of office were being remodeled and were closed which required us to walk usually in the night to take our young children to the bathrooms. Since the campgrounds is somewhat in town it made us quite nervous so we decided to leave early in the night to out next destination on our trip.

I had to make a last minute stop on a long trip and he was very accommodating get a cabin cleaned for me as soon as possible and very friendly and helpful. It was so good to have a nice mattress!

Enjoyed everything about it except that the restrooms near me were being worked on. However, that being said, I will be staying there again next week on my return home.

When I first moved to Raton I came here. It was clean and safe. (2019) Prices were great. I had high regards for the family home product they offered... Later in 2024 and 2025 I came to use their propane services. This is now...Again I have only the highest regard for their services. The prices are competitive- but the service is above royal- get your gas here!!! You won't be wrong! In 2026 I have been here to buy gas 11 times. I almost each time, donate to the koa kids camp.( A reflection of my opinion). My service is and has been stellular all 11 times. And their propane prices are low, if you buy at super save or a gas station in town. They will beat those prices!
