Friendly service but the campground wasn't well maintained. Cabins we stayed in were OK but other sites seemed old school - not lots of room, poor layout. I would not stay there again.

The staff are wonderfully friendly, but the website claims there is a game room, which was closed. This game room should be opened since it would enhance people's good time while staying there.

I always have good experiences at this koa. It is clean, quiet, and check in/check out is easy. The hospitality shown by the Robertsons makes this feel like a home away from home and provides rest for body and soul.

The little cabin was very clean, such a delightful cabinThe one issue I had is the heater did not work well at all and we were very, very cold to the point I packed up and left at 4 AM

It was just a one night stay this time, but we already decided we want to stay longer and more often in the future. Check in and out was easy and the facilities were clean and in good repair.

It was very nice stay, Grant very helpful, this ground has everything to chill and relax in this fast paced world. Don’t be in no hurry, If you love your dogs stay here, Rate are reasonable for sites, cabins and just camping, nice grocery stores across the street, Raton,NM quiet little town. Outdoors people will enjoy and relax. Thanks Grant

At first l thought the cabin was a little overpriced. Then l broke out with the telescope and saw things in the night sky l haven't before - that made it all worthwhile. A hotel room is cheaper but an individual cabin let me do my own thing.

The location was perfect for us and the furbabies. It was the first time staying in one of the cabins, and for how cold it was outside, it kept us nice and warm. Location was clean, safe, and had an amazingdog area close by

The cabin was nice and warm when I arrived. They're doing upgrades in the bath house, which is good. Grant at the front desk was kind and helpful. I plan to stay here again.

We had such a wonderful stay at the KOA cabins in Raton, NM! We booked the camping cabin and arrived late. All of our information for our stay was left in the night registration box upon arrival. The cabin was clean & quiet. It was just what we needed after a long drive. The bathrooms were clean as well. We even saw a deer making herself at home in the campground. Grant was friendly and helpful the next day upon checking out.

Check in after hours was confusing. Stayed in the cabins and the restrooms close to them were closed for renovation. The double bed in the cabin was extremely uncomfortable and thin. A good bed on amazon only costs $250. The people in the cabin next to us had two canopies and all there stuff was unkept with trash everywhere. The cabins are at the entrance and it made it look trashy.

my cabin was super quiet, which i needed for a good night sleep. (had job interview the next day). stayed 3 nights to house shop Raton. central bath was spotless, showers were hot! other guests were very friendly.

stayed in a basic cabin which was nice but unfortunately the closest bathrooms which were on the side of office were being remodeled and were closed which required us to walk usually in the night to take our young children to the bathrooms. Since the campgrounds is somewhat in town it made us quite nervous so we decided to leave early in the night to out next destination on our trip.

I had to make a last minute stop on a long trip and he was very accommodating get a cabin cleaned for me as soon as possible and very friendly and helpful. It was so good to have a nice mattress!

Loved the location, grounds, cabin and mini fridge. The facilities need attention and investment as the women's restroom stall personal care waste baskets were completely filled to max in all stalls. The restrooms and showers next to office were under renovation 2 years ago and were still unusable this year. Converting the storage room to a day room would make this a true KOA Journey.

Things were looking very run down the staff was pleasant, but a lack of amenities and/or broken facilities was definitely felt. Additionally, the site didn't feel particularly secure.

We had such a great time! The campground is super cute and the staff was so friendly! The bathrooms and showers were super clean. We stayed in the cabin and it was very clean and comfy.

We stayed in one of the standard cabins and found it included a small fridge which wasn't listed which brings up this rating. Overall campground was clean and well laid out, and the host Grant is a wealth of knowledge. The bathroom nearest our cabin was closed due to a reno. However, we were unable to locate the laundry to make dish clean up easy and there were no firepits to enjoy campfires.

Main bathrooms and showers were closed and this was not listed when we booked. The other bathroom/shower area was dirty and the toilets were in bad shape. Our cabin we rented needs work and the mattress is very, very, cheap. I have stayed at many other KOA cabins and this one is the worst by far.

Met our needs while traveling. It is very convenient. We have stayed here several times. We are sad that the same old shower heads are still being used in the showers. Wish that they were updated. When you’re traveling, you look forward to a nice flowing shower head with hot water. Hope they will upgrade soon. Other than that, look forward to coming back.

My stay at the Kamper Kabins in Raton KOA is usually pretty good except this time they charged a “cleaning fee” for my wife’s service dog which is ILLEGAL to charge any fee for a service animal. Obey the law next time and you’ll probably get five stars. The restrooms were also under renovation (they needed it) so it was quite a walk to the other restrooms.

I've stayed at this KOA multiple times. Easy in and out. Restrooms and laundry are quite nice. Not a garden spot as far as landscaping but quite adequate if you are passing thru!

Second time staying in the cabins and deeply appreciate how clean they are! The restrooms are very close - traveling alone with kids - it's very safe, and my favorite: very clean! Quiet, nice little dog park, my kids think the covered wagon in the playground is the coolest thing lol :) Cabin amenities were top notch. Always enjoy our stay here.
