We have stayed at this KOA before. It is convenient to stop here when heading south from Denver. The owner is very friendly. He had dog biscuits for our two boys, that's not common. Their dog park is large. All gravel, but it has trees, benches, and even a swing. Would grass be nice, yes, but almost impossible to maintain given the altitude and tons of pets visiting. Nice sealed trash can.

An older, but well maintained and clean KOA. The owner is working hard to maintain it. We’ve stayed.here many times and plan to again.

It was just an overnight stay, but the owner checked us in personally. He gave me all the relevant information on check-in, had really good Wi-Fi on site, and I had no questions after he checked me in. I recommend this Kampground to anyone passing through.

Excellent campground! All facilities, showers, bathrooms and laundry were immaculate and in perfect repair. We could only stay one night this trip, but we plan to return for a longer stay to explore the area. Office personnel were very helpful and solicitous..

It was lovely. Thank you for being open off-season, and thanks for filling my propane tank for me so I could stay cozy. While Raton is generally a stay of convenience, it's a relief to be safely welcomed here. This may be my fourth or fifth stay? Thanks again.

We are generally not fans of KOA, but this one is an exception! We only needed a stop overnight and a hot shower. This is the best, cleanest we have ever stayed at.

Helpful host; camp areas clean, altho additional trash receptacles are needed; cute safe dog run. Definitely will stay there again.

For us this is a good overnight stay as we travel out of Colorado. The sites are spacious and it is an easy in and easy out.

We have stayed here before, and we enjoy staying at this KOA park, we do feel that the sites are awfully small and a little overpriced for a basic RV park, but overall the staff is friendly the store is well equipped laundry rooms are clean restrooms were clean

Nice campground in fairly quiet area. Would have rated higher but the bathroom was rundown and trash in bins to the top.

KOA host was very informative and friendly, gave us information about where to eat and all the sights to see. We found the bathrooms and showers very clean. The grounds were neat and clean.

We loved this area and the park was very nice too. Great staff. We thought we were going to have a little problem with our sewer hook up because the sewer line was about 23’ from our sewer hook ups. All of the sites are the same so be prepared to have a long sewer line in order to connect. We loved the Old Town and we took a drive through the mountains as recommended on grok and it was beautiful

Good for a stop along your journey. Level sites. Water pressure a little low. Clean, we’ll stocked grocery store in town. Went to visit Capulin Volcano one day.

The location is very convenient. There appears to be only one full time employee and he is pleasant and helpful. Sometimes the bath/shower areas don’t get all the attention they need. Spots are pretty close together which is common for the KOA Journey location. There’s a lot to do within an hour’s drive. The laundry facility is one of the very nicest I’ve ever seen.

I've stayed at this KOA multiple times. Easy in and out. Restrooms and laundry are quite nice. Not a garden spot as far as landscaping but quite adequate if you are passing thru!

Second time staying in the cabins and deeply appreciate how clean they are! The restrooms are very close - traveling alone with kids - it's very safe, and my favorite: very clean! Quiet, nice little dog park, my kids think the covered wagon in the playground is the coolest thing lol :) Cabin amenities were top notch. Always enjoy our stay here.
