The location is very convenient. There appears to be only one full time employee and he is pleasant and helpful. Sometimes the bath/shower areas don’t get all the attention they need. Spots are pretty close together which is common for the KOA Journey location. There’s a lot to do within an hour’s drive. The laundry facility is one of the very nicest I’ve ever seen.

Excellent overall. However, the lawn mowing even though a necessary maintenance item should be done during the middle of the week and not during a holiday weekend. The general “peace and quiet” was I terruptrd for quite awhile during our stay.

Welcoming, clean, and convenient campground. We were very fortunate to have booked and stayed here as we were having truck and camper problems. Would recommend and we will be back!

The people who are running the campground were wonderful and the site itself was nice. The bathrooms and showers need a major updating and there was no water pressure at the dumpground so a mixed review.

Grant is a very friendly and accommodating Park owner. We have been staying at his park and it has always clean and ready for your stay. We started staying at his park when he bought it 23 years ago. Same service each year with upgrades. You will be happy you stay there.

Staff were super friendly and our site was very easy to get to and set up. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot!! Perfection! If we come through Raton again, we’ll definitely stay here!

Just a sleep over for 1 night. Clean restrooms, otherwise minimal facilities. Not a complaint, just an observation. Tell John, the gatekeeper, to strongly remind the converted city busses (large Class A+ RV’s) to NOT run their loud generators at 2, 3 & 4 o’clock in the morning! Us little Grech lithium powered Class B’s were overwhelmed with the noise. Good steak joint just north.

Always friendly and helpful. Easy in and out with big rig friendly pull-thru sites. We've stayed here coming and going from Arizona to Colorado and will continue to stay here.

This my second stay in Raton KOA in three weeks. I messed up our reservation and in turn didn’t have one. The staff were great and found me a 50 amp slot. I am indeed in debt to them. The campground is great for overnight stays. Nothing fancy but it offers everything to get you through. Easy access to I-25 is nice. Will definitely stay there again.

Incredibly friendly and helpful manager, nothing but good to say about him! The park is well managed and cared for. Perhaps KOA could put a little more money into it? The bathrooms are very clean but also very dated. The laundry room is clean and every machine was working! No pool? In a place where there really isn’t much else to do.

Very good! We were there two years ago and we can see the improvements that are on going. Staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. Large pull thru for our bi rig and easy to maneuver park.

We came in on a very windy day with a storm later that night. Great host. The park was reasonably priced, quiet, & well kept up. Bathroom was very clean & water in shower was comfortable.

Convenient location for our trip to AZ and our return. Friendly staff. Brand new washers and dryers. Met all our needs. Drive to nearby Sugarlite St Pk. Scenic and historic. Various hikes at the lake, and a coal mining town ruins loop.

The check-in was straight-forward and easy. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, but that's where it went south. The roads were dirt and with any wind, it was dusty. The bathroom/showers were deplorable. The shower floors were unsanitary, with wet underwear on the floor. My wife and I checked out each unit and came to the same conclusion--wouldn't step foot in there. Not KOA standards!

When I first moved to Raton I came here. It was clean and safe. (2019) Prices were great. I had high regards for the family home product they offered... Later in 2024 and 2025 I came to use their propane services. This is now...Again I have only the highest regard for their services. The prices are competitive- but the service is above royal- get your gas here!!! You won't be wrong! In 2026 I have been here to buy gas 11 times. I almost each time, donate to the koa kids camp.( A reflection of my opinion). My service is and has been stellular all 11 times. And their propane prices are low, if you buy at super save or a gas station in town. They will beat those prices!
