The Raton KOA is very old and not up to KOA standards. I wish KOA would remove their association with run down parks such as this one. I used to be able to count on KOA to only have nice parks but I will not give them the benefit of a doubt any longer.

Fast and efficient check in. Nice level site. Clean restroom. Well maintained campground with easy access to I-25, restaurants, and groceries.

Id say reserve early, for there is only limited number of spaces. Nice campground with full hookups. Quite and easy to get to. We hiked the Climax Canyon Nature Trail near by, and it was a nice trail.

Was just Ann overnight stay, but called late on Sunday and they had a place for us. Nice hookups and was easy to pull in and out and back on our way! Thank you such a lovely little area.

We have stayed at the Raton KOA numerous times because of its convenient location, pleasant mountain views and because the staff is always very nice. Plus, they have wifi that actually works! Throw in the reasonable price and we don’t even search for another place to stay along the I-25 corridor in northern NM and southern CO.

Great stop over spot on our way to Colorado. Cool to see wildlife come in the evening. Laundry room was very clean! Management was very kind and helpful!

It is an adequate place to stop overnite. Convenient. The people are very nice. Nothing fancy. Gravel. Fairly level.

We usually stay here on our way home. It is convenient, reasonably priced, and the facilities are well cared for. There is a nice playground in the park, a K-Bob's within walking distance for dinner, and a grocery store right across the street.

Arrived at 3,pm, store was closed, then saw manager who said he ran errands that time everyday. Went to our site and all the trash cans were overflowing with trash. Lots of mosquitos, grass not maintained. No rec room as advertised. One stall in men's bathroom with no toilet paper or hand towels in women's. Lots of loud yelling at dogs.

Staff were friendly. Facilities were clean. Garbages needed emptying, but maybe it was our timing. Easy location to get in and out of. Needs updating.

We had another great stay at the Raton KOA. When we go visit family back in Colorado this is a great part way stop for us. The campground is always easy to get into, the grounds and facilities are clean and in great shape and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend it to all our friends and family that go through the area.

It was a great quick and quiet stay the campground was clean and level we only stayed one night and a layover to the next place on our trip but the five stars really goes to the staff they were very friendly and professional as well as accommodating it was well worth the stay

Nice campground. We had a mechanical issue with our 5th wheel prior to leaving. The Koa owner found the right person and we were back on the road in a couple of hours. Can’t THANK THEM ENOUGH for that

Had to use 30 amp service no 50 amp available. Only used restrooms once. Two toilets one was stopped up and one had. no toilet paper. Restroom was clean just needed servicing.

A quiet clean campground, no frills but safe and a great place to stay overnight. Large, clean bathrooms. I have stayed a few times as I travel. A great place to stay if you want to hike Capulin Volcano

It was a clean nice rv park. The man that runs it is very friendly. Some grassy areas to walk around made it nice. Great for overnight, but not much to do in or nearby. There are Restaurants in the area if you are hungry though.

What a wonderful visit. We went for the Santa Fe Trail Balloon Rally and stayed with a group in the cabins. We were so very welcomed by the owner. Will definitely be back!!

I've stayed at this KOA multiple times. Easy in and out. Restrooms and laundry are quite nice. Not a garden spot as far as landscaping but quite adequate if you are passing thru!

Second time staying in the cabins and deeply appreciate how clean they are! The restrooms are very close - traveling alone with kids - it's very safe, and my favorite: very clean! Quiet, nice little dog park, my kids think the covered wagon in the playground is the coolest thing lol :) Cabin amenities were top notch. Always enjoy our stay here.
