I loved my stay at Raton KOA. The owner/ manager Grant was super friendly. He was very informative and told time out to visit with campers. Next time I’m I. The area I will definitely stay here again.

We arrived late and left early, but everything was just perfect. Nice flat spots with gravel, power and water were excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Nice place, good sites for big rigs. Very accessible from the highway and about 30 minutes from the Capulin Volcano. Staff very helpful and courteous.

Our stay was very pleasant. The campround is clean and niceley laid out, the facilities are in good condition, and the manager, Grant, is extremely friendly and helpful. We visit this campground four times each year and have never had a bad experience.

Friendly service but the campground wasn't well maintained. Cabins we stayed in were OK but other sites seemed old school - not lots of room, poor layout. I would not stay there again.

For the Price it’s 6 Stars. Probably the lowest cost for a KOA. It’s Clean and Functional. And Very Friendly! Lots are level, I haven’t needed blocking ever. It’s Quite, not near the freeway. But easy to get to. Thank You KOA Raton, NM

Only one complaint. We do not have a dog and there was dog poop on our lot ����. Other than that KOA is our favorite campground.

I enjoyed my one night stay there. I wish there were a few more trees in the open tent area but it worked out fine. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and I learned how to say "Raton" correctly! Plenty of hot water for the showers but the shower heads are due for replacement. I would use the site again the next time I'm in the area.

The women’s bathroom only had toilet paper in the stall that wouldn’t shut properly. I did not realize until after the office/store was closed and the phone number on the wall to contact only worked if it was open. Garbages were also overflowing in there. Other than that no issues, however we left before the store opened the next day and there was no communication on how to “check out.”

The pull through site was roomy and made it very easy to keep our tow car connected to easily continue our journey to Colorado. The manager was friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a pleasant experience with a great sunset to top it off.

Site was level and quite spacious, although a little tight to back in because of a tree in the front of the site. Hookups worked fine but in our site the sewer inlet was smack up against a railroad tie, making it a tad tricky to get the sewer elbow into the pipe but I finally managed it. The washrooms were old-style but clean and worked well. The host was very welcoming and informative.

The park is easy to get in and out. It is an old KOA and the facilities are clean. It’s a great stop for one night off highway when traveling through the area. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This KOA at one time was probably really nice. Unfortunately it is showing its age. However, the grounds were clean and most of the dog poop had been picked up! The pet playground was pretty much dirt. No grass to speak of and on the small side. There is a lot that could be done with this particular KOA, but perhaps they just don't have the funds. I think we would look for another place next time.

When I first moved to Raton I came here. It was clean and safe. (2019) Prices were great. I had high regards for the family home product they offered... Later in 2024 and 2025 I came to use their propane services. This is now...Again I have only the highest regard for their services. The prices are competitive- but the service is above royal- get your gas here!!! You won't be wrong! In 2026 I have been here to buy gas 11 times. I almost each time, donate to the koa kids camp.( A reflection of my opinion). My service is and has been stellular all 11 times. And their propane prices are low, if you buy at super save or a gas station in town. They will beat those prices!
