We have stayed here before, and we enjoy staying at this KOA park, we do feel that the sites are awfully small and a little overpriced for a basic RV park, but overall the staff is friendly the store is well equipped laundry rooms are clean restrooms were clean

Nice campground in fairly quiet area. Would have rated higher but the bathroom was rundown and trash in bins to the top.

KOA host was very informative and friendly, gave us information about where to eat and all the sights to see. We found the bathrooms and showers very clean. The grounds were neat and clean.

We loved this area and the park was very nice too. Great staff. We thought we were going to have a little problem with our sewer hook up because the sewer line was about 23’ from our sewer hook ups. All of the sites are the same so be prepared to have a long sewer line in order to connect. We loved the Old Town and we took a drive through the mountains as recommended on grok and it was beautiful

Good for a stop along your journey. Level sites. Water pressure a little low. Clean, we’ll stocked grocery store in town. Went to visit Capulin Volcano one day.

The location is very convenient. There appears to be only one full time employee and he is pleasant and helpful. Sometimes the bath/shower areas don’t get all the attention they need. Spots are pretty close together which is common for the KOA Journey location. There’s a lot to do within an hour’s drive. The laundry facility is one of the very nicest I’ve ever seen.

We had such a wonderful stay at the KOA cabins in Raton, NM! The cabins were spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms were close by and very clean — everything was so convenient and well cared for. Excellent overall. However, the lawn mowing even though a necessary maintenance item should be done during the middle of the week and not during a holiday weekend. The general “peace and quiet” was I terruptrd for quite awhile during our stay.

Welcoming, clean, and convenient campground. We were very fortunate to have booked and stayed here as we were having truck and camper problems. Would recommend and we will be back!

The people who are running the campground were wonderful and the site itself was nice. The bathrooms and showers need a major updating and there was no water pressure at the dumpground so a mixed review.

Grant is a very friendly and accommodating Park owner. We have been staying at his park and it has always clean and ready for your stay. We started staying at his park when he bought it 23 years ago. Same service each year with upgrades. You will be happy you stay there.

Staff were super friendly and our site was very easy to get to and set up. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot!! Perfection! If we come through Raton again, we’ll definitely stay here!

Just a sleep over for 1 night. Clean restrooms, otherwise minimal facilities. Not a complaint, just an observation. Tell John, the gatekeeper, to strongly remind the converted city busses (large Class A+ RV’s) to NOT run their loud generators at 2, 3 & 4 o’clock in the morning! Us little Grech lithium powered Class B’s were overwhelmed with the noise. Good steak joint just north.

This my second stay in Raton KOA in three weeks. I messed up our reservation and in turn didn’t have one. The staff were great and found me a 50 amp slot. I am indeed in debt to them. The campground is great for overnight stays. Nothing fancy but it offers everything to get you through. Easy access to I-25 is nice. Will definitely stay there again.

Incredibly friendly and helpful manager, nothing but good to say about him! The park is well managed and cared for. Perhaps KOA could put a little more money into it? The bathrooms are very clean but also very dated. The laundry room is clean and every machine was working! No pool? In a place where there really isn’t much else to do.

As always, easy peazy and just perffect. Check-in was seamless, easy to navigate to well marked spot, and clean restrooms. Perfect overnight onn the way to the Balloon Fiesta!

I've stayed at this KOA multiple times. Easy in and out. Restrooms and laundry are quite nice. Not a garden spot as far as landscaping but quite adequate if you are passing thru!

Second time staying in the cabins and deeply appreciate how clean they are! The restrooms are very close - traveling alone with kids - it's very safe, and my favorite: very clean! Quiet, nice little dog park, my kids think the covered wagon in the playground is the coolest thing lol :) Cabin amenities were top notch. Always enjoy our stay here.
