Raton KOA is a diamond in the rough. The campground is in need of some tlc. But the owners are working on it. Bathrooms were clean and the campsites were tidy. Downtown Raton is a nice place to walk around. And it too, could use some tlc. For truly great food, try Alphonso's Mexican. Want to hike? Sugarrite Canyon is 15 minute car ride and its perfect hiking trails and a reservoir for fishing.

Nice overnight spot. Long, wide spots that were level and hookups conveniently located. Employee also offered to help with set up if needed.

Stayed 4 nights, everything was good, spacious sites plenty area to walk the pooch, clean bathrooms and laundry room, Grant is very kind and helpful, rv park kept clean

We always enjoy our stay at Raton KOA. Easy check-in, fast & friendly service, & easy pull through spaces. We also have family stay in a cabin, & it’s perfect for them. Shower & laundry facilities are clean & well-kept. Staying here is about 1/2 way to where we’re going, so we stay both going to, & coming back from vacation. This was year 7 for us to stay here, so yes - we recommend Raton KOA

Stopped for just one night on the way south from Colorado springs. The greeting was friendly and helpful. Got a nice back in site with some shade on a hot day. What could be better?

Great location with excellent on line reservation process even with unexpected late arrival. Very spacious pull thru , good hook ups and great wifi ! Bathrooms and showers older but functional except a few of toilets difficult to flush. On site staff available and welcoming.

It’s convenient for a one night stay, but for a KOA is pretty rundown. The staff was super friendly, however the garbage cans around the property were full and never emptied.

Small park, gravel sites. Not much grass to walk your dog. Management was very helpful when my reservation got screwed up. He fixed it with no problems. Laundry facilities were nice and clean. Bathrooms were also clean. Not much to do in Raton. Restaurants were not many but the pizza was good(I just can’t remember the name)

This KOA is perfectly situated for an overnight. The facilities are clean and well maintained, easy in and out. We would stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights and the Host was VERY nice guy! The washers and dryers were some of the cleanest I have encountered on our trips and reasonably priced. We felt very safe as well. We would definitely stay again!!

Garbage cans full by bathrooms all 3 days, inside bathrooms as well. Toilet paper on floor all 3 days, not cleaned as scheduled on sign. In store, caned soup was sitting so long one side of label was so sun bleached you could hardly read contents. Very disappointed with this KOA.

You allowed a rig with two wolves (yes I said wolves) to stay and they barked and yapped the ENTIRE time. Not okay.

The person who checked me in was very nice and helpful. However, someone pulled into the site next to us at about 11PM they then sat outside their rig until about 3am talking non stop. Then woke up at 6am and left before the office opened. Not sure if they even paid for the night.. this place needs someone enforcing the quiet hours

Very nice stay in Raton NM. Staff was very friendly. Our check in was after office hours, but KOA was prepared with our information so no issues.

Late night registration saved us from sleeping in the front of our truck so thank you. The only issue was the codes on the bathroom . I did it wrong three times and it locked us out.. but your campground was a godsend at 1am on a Monday morning

Friendly owner who gave me a great restaurant tip for my ride on the Highway of Legends. (The Dog Bar & Grill, Cuchara, CO). The tent plots were spacious. The bathroom was clean. The site was free of litter. I'll be back the next time I'm in the Raton area.

When I first moved to Raton I came here. It was clean and safe. (2019) Prices were great. I had high regards for the family home product they offered... Later in 2024 and 2025 I came to use their propane services. This is now...Again I have only the highest regard for their services. The prices are competitive- but the service is above royal- get your gas here!!! You won't be wrong! In 2026 I have been here to buy gas 11 times. I almost each time, donate to the koa kids camp.( A reflection of my opinion). My service is and has been stellular all 11 times. And their propane prices are low, if you buy at super save or a gas station in town. They will beat those prices!
