I have stayed at several KOA campgrounds. While some are more “fancy” I found this one in Raton to have everything I needed all in good working order and clean. I was greeted with an efficient and friendly check in, which is nice after spending hours on the road, and the stay was pleasant, and quiet too. The location is great too

Will definitely stay at again. The host was very friendly and helpful. We saw deer in the morning which was cool. Only problem was most of the trash cans were full and there was no bags available for dog waste. Dog poop everywhere. From people not picking up. If bags available maybe they would. Who knows. Great place to stay though. Nice quiet and easy to get in and out of.

Was a good transition stop heading back to Denver. Town was pretty sleepy and seemed pretty dead. Campground was fine and bathrooms were clean.

Stayed for the night while traveling thru. Nice clean park, easily located off the interstate. Friendly staff. THis is my 2nd time being here, both times I called without prior reservations and got in easily.

We were looking for a weekend get away not far from home. We decided to go to Raton, as we've never been to that part of the state. The area was beautiful. The campground was far enough away from the middle of town, but close enough that stores and restaurants were within easy walking distance. The campground was well maintained, the hosts very friendly and helpful.

Really appreciated the open communication from the staff at this place. The gentlemen I spoke to several times were always helpful, and even helped facilitate delivery of an important item to me. I really appreciate them and I will be back later this year most likely if not next year.

Even though we feel this campground is over-priced, we have stayed at Raton KOA multiple times because it is an easy stop when we travel from Colorado Springs to Texas.

Raton KOA was an excellent overnight sopt for us. The office staff was not present when we checked in but the self-check was straight forward and easy to follow. The site was level and all utilities worked with no issues. Any needed services were within minutes of the campground.

Always a great stay in Raton. This was my sixth stay there, I think. Not on the freeway, so it is pretty quiet compared to many locations. Management/staff are friendly and helpful.

Sleeping was great because it was quiet unlike most rv parks. Where you hear hwy noise, trains or planes. Will stay here again.

it's a basic KOA but the hosts are very friendly! the campgrounds are clean and everything works. the bathrooms could use a makeover as they are quite old but kept in good condition.

Greeted well by camp host (Grant) and given helpful directions to our site. Well maintained and convenient campground. KOA never disappoints.

The campground was very clean, and the host was great to work with. Restrooms and dog park were nice and clean as well. If we are in the area in the future, we will definitely stay here again. As a bonus, if you drive into town in the evening (less than a mile from the KOA), as we did, you will find deer grazing in the park and in the front yards of residents.

Easy in, easy out. Enjoyed the quiet evening unlike so many other campgrounds where traffic and train noise make it difficult to sleep.

At first l thought the cabin was a little overpriced. Then l broke out with the telescope and saw things in the night sky l haven't before - that made it all worthwhile. A hotel room is cheaper but an individual cabin let me do my own thing.

This is a great stop when traveling between New Mexico and Colorado. This was our second time staying here. Grant greets guests with a welcoming smile. He has been both accommodating and helpful. Grant is a wonderful face for KOA.

Park is perfect for us as we travel through and we have stayed there many times on our way to destinations south of Colorado. The park is clean, management is top notch, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Propane is very convenient right as you enter the park. It's quiet, safe and peaceful. We will always stay there when we travel south.

We weren’t there very long-(arrived in the dark and left the same way), but Grant welcomed us in and left a light on! Grateful for the hot showers.

Just a typical cold winter overnight stop at a Journey campground in a welcome location. We used the late arrival procedure. Once we spotted the site numbers in the dark and leveled the camper there were no issues. The WiFi was excellent.

I've stayed at this KOA multiple times. Easy in and out. Restrooms and laundry are quite nice. Not a garden spot as far as landscaping but quite adequate if you are passing thru!

Second time staying in the cabins and deeply appreciate how clean they are! The restrooms are very close - traveling alone with kids - it's very safe, and my favorite: very clean! Quiet, nice little dog park, my kids think the covered wagon in the playground is the coolest thing lol :) Cabin amenities were top notch. Always enjoy our stay here.
