Camp owner/manager Grant was very accommodating and kind. Merilyn at check in w a s very helpful in letting me reserve my spot for a second night. The sites are narrow but the campground is clean and well maintained. Appreciated the good sized dog park.

Always enjoy our Kamper Kabin stays at Raton. They have the best mattresses. The campground is simple, but perfect for our needs traveling thru and it’s off the interstate some so no road noise so to speak of.

A little old but very functional. Dog friendly. Good internet.

We would definitely stay again. The CG hosts are friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the dusty gravel everywhere and no concrete patios but that’s just the high desert West. We stayed 6 nights and there’s much to explore in the area.

Friendly office personal. We have stayed there before and easy to get in and out.

This was my first stay at a KOA after decades of camping. I was underwhelmed. The facility looked tired, I had expected so very much more from KOA. I sincerely hope this is not indicative of all KOA facilities. The 'neighbor' had an unattended dog that barked incessantly.

The ten is for the couple that worked at the KOA. We broke down and they jumped in and asked if there was anything they could do to help us. They made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The park was wonderful easy in easy out.

They were doing renovations so a bunch of stuff wasn’t available. ..should have been a discount for that! Also, roads near were frequented by very loud engine noise as a couple of vehicles including a motorcycle seemed to enjoy doing noisy loops around that block

This is a “no frills” park but was good for an overnight stay. Little pricey for what you get but met our needs. Park was clean and we had full hookups. Restaurants nearby; friendly staff upon check-in.

Host are very helpful and friendly especially Wendell. He provided a wealth of information that made our stay so much more enjoyable! We traveled the Enchanted Circle, Eagles Nest, Red River, Angle Fire and. Taos. Raton is a nice little town.

We were here one night & arrived early afternoon before the office opened. Our original reservation included points but the change reservation didn't show them being applied. I was prepared to talk with someone in the office after they opened but not necessary. The person that owns/runs the park came to our site with the credit receipts showing the points and the discount were applied.

You're Raton. I got a ramp, wonderful. The bathroom, one toilet needs to be at ADA standards and isn't. And one bed needs to be higher for handicapped. Again the people were so nice.

Great staff and sites. Plenty long enough and wide for my trailer in a pull through. Enjoyed my stay here.

Host (Wendell) was very friendly and hospitable. The Wi-Fi was fantastic. The pull-through sites were extra long. We did not use any of the facilities. The location is very convenient to the Interstate and the town. The town is very interesting to explore, and the views were fantastic when we drove up above the town to the Raton sign.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
