Really enjoyed my stay in this KOA. Lots to do, me and my dogs enjoyed the walking areas, and the restrooms were clean. Not to mention friendly staff and easy check in.

We had a beautiful campsite looking out onto the prairie with an unlimited view!

Clean and quiet. Host was super helpful and nice. Only annoyance was other guests just walking thru our site and as early as 4 am.

Front desk person needs training on how to greet and interact with customers. Other staff members were very friendly and helpful. We had a pull thru with much needed shade. Enjoyed our stay and visited Bishop Castle a must if you have time.

Nice stop over park and friendly and helpful staff

Easy access and relatively quiet!

The park itself is just fine. There are amenities for family entertainment and lots of grass for walking dogs. My only complaint is the very high cost to do laundry. We often stay at KOA campgrounds and laundry is typically $2.00 for a wash and $2.00 for a dryer. South Pueblo charges $3.50 for a wash and 3.50 for 30 minutes of drying time. Our jeans were not fully dry in 30 minutes.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately, $3.50 and higher is the going rate for laundry in this area. We wish we could keep it at $2.00 but that is not doable with the cost of things.

One night stay, friendly staff, clean park. Enjoyed our stay.

Booked at this KOA for an event nearby. The facilities were well kept (very clean pool), and had a nicely shaded camp spot, which feels like a rarity these days. Staff was friendly and fellow campers were polite.

Quiet. Friendly neighbors. Easy to get to.
Aug 19, 2025
This KOA fell short of expectations. Amenities like the pool, hot tub, and putt-putt close when the office shuts at 6, not at posted times, and putt-putt costs $2 per game. The park feels run down and overpriced for what’s offered. Fine for an overnight stop, but definitely not a destination.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The mini golf is a $2.00 fee that is donated to care camps, however if you feel you can't do that, we will still let you play. Pool and everything close at 6 with the office if people are not in them, and it's slow.
Aug 18, 2025
Way too narrow and dirty of a site. I had my neighbors utilities at the base of my entry stairs. Weeds that were like subtle and my picnic table was under the neighbors slide. I felt that overnight guests were given the better sites. We had no place to barbecue. Sorry, no thanks.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You had the same site as overnighters get. Most are same sizes. There is plenty of room on each site to bbq.

This is probably the WORST KOA we've been to. The pool closed at 6 which is ridiculous, laundry was $7.00 for 1 load, all the activity stuff gets locked up when the office closes at 5, so you can't play mini golf, disc golf, basketball. It gets a little cooler so pool would be great also. You have to pay for the mini golf where as other koa' it just comes with your stay. We will NEVER stay again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

WE charge $2.00 for mini golf which is a donation for kids with cancer. We will leave things unlocked, including the pool until later if people are using. Sorry we didn't meet your standards.

All good!

my stay was great, I find it hard trying to understand pricing. some koas are very resonable in price . some feel like you should bye your nightly stay. Staff were very helpful.

Curtious and helpful staff and a quiet stay even though it is close to the interstate. It was a little tight for a big rig towing a trailer but it worked.

We have stayed here many times enroute to northern Colorado. We love the dog walk and the surrounding views. However, the weeds in the dog park were nearly a foot high & it was overrun by hundreds of grasshoppers jumping all over. It was occupied by mostly longer term workers and the dogs next to us barked whenever theowner was gone. While walking our dogs, 2 big dogs got loose and came after us

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The grasshoppers have been a nightmare this year, we have been cutting grass every day, with the rain hard to stay ahead. Sorry you experienced dogs getting loose, we had a talk with the person. Thanks for reaching out and letting us know.

Our great Granddaughter wanted to go camping one more time before starting 1st grade, so the Colorado City KOA was a close choice for us. She enjoyed playing at the playground, swimming (although the water was pretty cold) and playing miniature golf. The miniature golf could use some maintenance, but we still had a fun time. The site we had was quiet and nicely shaded.

Nice park, quiet and well maintained. The only issue I experienced was an inability to connect to the WiFi

Everything was fine as far as the camp went. However. The neighbor or his guest was honking the horn on a truck very long and loud, and several.times at 5am. After a very long and hard drive, we needed to sleep. He was in D8 and is apparently living there. On the upside, the showersand bathrooms were clean, and we appreciated the dog park.

We loved the campground we have stayed before and it is such a nice campground

The outside man who escorted us to our site was very nice and helpful. The inside staff member was not helpful at all. The grass was over run with weeds.

We enjoyed our stay and all amenities. What a beautiful view of the mountains. We thank you for your kindness and took care of making us feel welcome.

Quiet campground near a BBQ restaurant. Bathrooms need a power washing. Store coolers are basically empty. Charging $2 to play mini golf is ridiculous.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Bathrooms are cleaned daily, not sure why they need a power washing. Store coolers are full of sandwiches and drinks. Maybe you have the wrong campground.

I love this KOA. Very clean. Polite employees. Easy to get to. Always accommodating my request for ADA assistant. They are awesome!
Jul 21, 2025
It was nice and relaxing. The campground was quiet, and everyone was very friendly!
Jul 21, 2025
Campsite was great. Facilities were clean and easy to use. Pool was open but water was too cold to comfortably swim. Pools that are outdoors in Colorado need to be heated as night time temperatures keep them too cold to enjoy. This pool did not appear to be heated and we did not use due to cold water.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The pool has been 70-78 degrees every day. Sorry wasn't warm enough for you.

Not the greatest location right by I-25 for feeling like you're actually camping, but it's convenient and close to a lot recreation opportunities

This is a treasure! We had a RV space and the deluxe cabin. The RV space was large, easy to pull in to and had grass! The cabin was super spacious, clean and had all the amenities that you need. We were so happy. The grounds are clean and beautiful, playground, put put golf, goldfish, pool, so many things to keep everyone entertained and happy! The staff are super friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite KOAs and will stay here again.

Cabin 3 is extremely comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Rubens (owner) and Clay & Kim (staff) are considerate and very helpful. The location is right off the highway with easy access and moderate traffic noise. I highly recommend this KOA!
