Ideal location when staying near Munising and not too far from most hiking trails. Full hook up lots were rather tight and not many activities on site if you are traveling with younger children.

Wasn't much privacy with the sites being so close together, but we had pleasant neighbors. Kids enjoyed playing in the area near the playground with outdoor toys we brought. Near the highway so there was a good bit of noise at night. Bring bug spray or ThermaCELL for the mosquitoes.

This was our first stay at the Munising KOA and it was very nice. Most of the sites are wooded and shaded and we really liked that. The facilities and grounds are well kept and clean. The staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating - they seemed a bit short staffed so hats off to them.

We enjoyed our stay. The campground is old fashion grass, trees and gravel roads. Staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay again on our way through to Wisconsin.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the store and laundry were nice. Beyond that, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting both days we stayed there in both the men's and women's bathrooms. Toilet paper pieces on the floor and some stalls without toilet paper at all. The showers were filthy the whole time. They were definitely not cleaned properly at all. Campsites too close together.

Absolutely beautiful campground with spacious sites. Wifi throughout campground was great. Site hookups worked, electricity and water. Campground is very well maintained with fantastic staff who are helpful and friendly. Great place to stay if you are in the area for Painted Rocks National Seashore, it’s just a short drive from the campground to the town of Munising, MI.

We moved that is was so close to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We took a boat cruise to see the shoreline on Lake Superior. The rocks were amazing to see. We didn’t have time to kayak as it was colder and windy. We also drove to White Point, Whitefish Lighthouse and Whitefish bay. And visited the state park on out was back. Two nice walks with falls at the end. TY KOA. Nice visit.

We enjoyed our stay, we were in the tree covered lots which wasn’t our favorite but next time we’ll know which sites to pick. We will return. Front desk check in staff were very friendly.

This is a beautiful tree filled campground. I had full hook ups, cable and pretty good wifi. I would recommend this campground to others.

Staff was nice. The only issue was the site fire pit was right next to the neighbors so you had zero room & privacy around the fire

We really enjoyed our stay & were impressed w/ Munising KOA! The front desk employees were friendly & helpful with sightseeing ideas. We needed to switch camp spots (our error) and they were very accommodating. The laundry facilities were clean & I like that they are available 24/7. Their Pictured Rocks/Great Lakes shirts are super cute! It’s a great location (close to town) & easy to find!

Sites in front of office are full hook ups but not shaded and are noisy due to highway, esp rumble strip noise and trucks. Mosquitos were extremely bad. They do try to spray camp grounds. One local said Mosquitos this year were the worst they've seen. Clean campground. Showers were small but well kept. Very nice staff. We stayed 5 nights.

make sure you know if you are getting a pull through with sewer, water, electric. A number of their pull throughs are electric/water only.

This is a nice campground. However, this is an awful KOA. KOA is what we pay the extra cost for knowing we are getting a family fun campground. This KOA was just a spot to park and plug in, nothing more. The playground was bare bones equipment from the late 70's era. The pool was circa 1960's (and closed while we stayed in June). No activities for kids, and the store had almost nothing in it.

Was a nice Camp Ground .Was disapointed that the Pool was not open. Felt like there was a little price gouging on a few things. 4 split pieces of wood for 5 dollars. and gift shop prices were high. Check out was to early. most campgrounds are at 1 pm .yours 11 am. this is not a hotel. not time to pack up a camp site and cook breakfast , shower. We felt quite rushed. That said the Staff was nice.

We appreciate the feedback. Our pool isn't advertised to open until June 24. We are currently painting the pool area and the weather has been cool. Sorry to hear that you still felt rushed after allowing a late check-out of noon for you.

Well it was a place to camp , the office people were very nice and helpful , however the grounds were clean but we've been to a few other KOAs and they were much more visually appealing , the give guided escorts to sites , trash pick up 2 times a day . And had much more amenities.. even though we knew there were few .what we seen was not open to use. Or was 10 min of fun then back to camp

Beautiful campground. Excellent service at front desk. Wifi was spotty. This was a reoccurring issue at several KOAs. Today's campers require wifi for streaming and online uses. Campgrounds need to provide quality wifi service

The gentleman checking us in was very friendly, helpful, polite, and professional. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the campground was well maintained. We especially appreciated the larger spacing between campsites!

By far the nicest KOA we have been to. After fighting mosquitoes at Sand Point, we abandoned our campground and called the KOA in Munisign. Erin was great and booked us into sites 61 & 62, electric back in sites for our camper vans. They had just fogged the campground so very few mosquitoes. The showers and bathrooms were clean. We were close to Munisign Falls and to town. Great stay.

Site was ok; however, the picnic table on Site #6 needs to be replaced. Lots of mosquitos! Pool unfortunately wasn't open yet as it was very hot and being after Memorial Day Weekend we were disappointed it wasn't open for the kids to swim. Our site was right by the road so it was very noisy. Location was close to area attractions so good place to base out of.

We are disappointed second year in a row our lot was messed up. Last year someone was in our spot and they gave us a different one. This year we paid for a pull through lot in May, The office girl gave us a back in lot. You people need to need to read your reservation more closely. Sorry to say we will not be back.

Mosquitoes! Swarms of mosquitoes everywhere. We did appreciate that they sprayed the campground once, but the swarms are back within 12hrs.

Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- Stayed here in late-July 2023. Back-in. Water and electric only 30 amp. Site #62 $53/night 3 nights stayed Site #62 THE GOOD Location: Close to town where you go to take any of the tours of Pictured Rocks. Also close to gas, food, and groceries (about 10 min). Sites: Backed up to woods with lots of space and felt really comfortable for a camping experience. THE BAD Site: All grass and not level. NOT GOOD OR BAD: Wifi: Did not connect to campground wifi. Cell service: Neither Verizon or AT&T were good. AT&T was just good enough to get some light work done. Facilities: Did not use laundry or showers to review.
