The park is clean, great pool, and friendly helpful staff. The big negative is mosquitoes. They are absolutely horrendous. Kept us trapped in the camper most of the week. This park needs about half of its trees removed. Total shade on almost all sites promotes the mosquitoes. We camp a lot in the UP, and many work to control mosquitoes. Severe itching doesn’t have to be part of UP camping!

Campsite was next to the road with No privacy whatsoever. I just looked like we were set up in a parking lot right next to the lobby. The water in the bathhouse smelled like sulfur and showers were dirty. Mosquitos were awful, and our campsite was completely flooded when we arrived.

Overall a very nice stay. Nice large wooded sites. Close to attractions. Staff was very professional and courteous. Only thing is the full hook up sites that have vehicle s face each other makes having a fire a bit different when your right next to each other and don’t know the people. But would recommend this place for sure.

David liked camping in the back row. We were amazed at how quiet the campground is. We’re coming again for the fall colors.

Loved that the sites were among the trees. Nice large sites, nice layout. Bathrooms and showers were nice. Very well maintained. We were greeted and treated very nicely. and only 7 minutes from the town of Munising and the Pictured Rocks cruise. Definitely would recommend it.

Grass at site was not cut. Shower houses in decent shape. Pool was nice. Campground was quiet. Campsites kind of on top of each other at the front of the campground, but we had a big field to play in.

mosquito are bad,the site needs the trees cleared back some and water pressure is also bad there are know patrol or trash pick up and there no tags in the window to verify that you are staying at koa

Munising KOA is not the best KOA I have ever stayed at. The sites have lots of leaves between them, which presents a fire hazard. The trees do allow for cutting down of the road noise which is a plus. Starlink did not work due to tree coverage and the WIFI which was provided was sub-standard. There is no cellular coverage for ATT. I am not sure I would stay here again.

Conveniently located near Munising, Pictured Rocks etc. The folks in the KOA store were very welcoming and friendly. We decided not to stay the full 5 nights and the manager kindly refunded our 2 nights. The KOA was fine just did not have the vibe in usually associate with KOA campgrounds

Staff was great but we had no cell service in or anywhere near the park. Park Wi-Fi worked great. Space was all grass and very bumpy.

Beautiful sites and excellent service!! Friendly staff! Very quiet and peaceful. Bathroom is clean and always stocked. I would recommend this KOA to anyone!

Friendly staff, clean, great area, close to shopping and boat tours. Full hookup site was on the small side, but we didn't spend much time at the site anyway. Just a side note for those that do. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice campground. Extremely friendly staff. The mosquitos made it impossible to sit outside or enjoy a fire. Even setting up camp and breaking down was a slap fest.

we came in late and have to leave the next day but we ask question at the counter that were quite helpful, nice people and site was cleaned. Wish i could stayed longer but definitely try for a longer stay

We only stayed on night and they put us in the front. It was very close to the restrooms and store, however, it was crowded and not mowed so mosquitoes were bad. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was very friendly. Next time I’ll request a sight in the back.

We stayed a week and while not a lot to do at the koa they are located surrounded by waterfalls, hiking trails, Hiawatha national forest, pictured rock national park. There is a bus service that will pick you up and take you where you would like to go. Just give them a call. The staff was awesome and friendly, very knowledgeable of everything around and what’s going on in town.

Was not impressed at all. They need to spray/fog for mosquitoes, because they are HORRIBLE! You can't even enjoy a nice campfire without getting eaten alive, that's with bug spray on! They swarm you in the shower house as well, total nightmare! They need a 2nd bath/shower house, 1 up front is a long walk at night with bugs! They know bugs are an issue,yet do nothing to fix it. DO BETTER!

The bugs were terrible over the last few weeks and we did have the property professionally sprayed and continue to do so throughout the season. Unfortunately, we have no control over the bug population and rain which significantly amplifies them.

MOSQUITOES!!! Bug spray required! Camped mid June. Campground beautiful with lots of trees with LARGE sites & privacy. Camp store has large selection Pictured Rocks clothing priced same as all gift shops in town. Friendly staff. Excellent location few miles from town. Would stay here again with bug spray & zapper (available in camp store)!

This was one of the more disappointing KOA experiences we’ve had. The mosquitoes were overwhelming, the playground was extremely limited, the heated pool wasn’t open during our mid-June stay, and maintenance seemed lacking throughout the property. The pool area had a drain hose left out, and the fresh water hose at our site wouldn’t shut off. The campground is in serious need of updates.

Too many trees made it dark and buggy. No grass at the sites. Water smelled like boiled eggs and they had very low water pressure. Free WIFI but I got kicked off every few minutes even though the campground was near empty and the repeater was 30 feet away. Pool was also empty.

Very quiet. Wish the pool was open or some type of game room. To many mosquitoes but I guess that comes with the woodsy area. Staff was nice .

By far the best KOA we have ever stayed at. We loved our site! The staff were amazing, went above and beyond for us over and over again. Very impressed!

Not a bad place but the mosquitoes were horrible. One night and I’m full of bug bites. Guess I was there at the wrong time of the year

Campground is ten minutes from Munising so we chose it for location. Not a lot to do at camp but plenty to do in the area! Quiet at night and they have a pool.
