This was an overnight stay. Site 34 had lots of trees and shade, long enough to stay connected. Being from "down state", we are all too familiar with Michigan's state bird: The mosquito. There were sooo many mosquitoes. We had pasties at Muldoon's--sooo yummy!

The park is very nice but the bathrooms lack cleanliness. The staff is very friendly. The store is very well stocked with everything you will need. The sites in the back with only electricity and water are the best if you want privacy. It’s nice and quiet with zero bugs.

This KOA was just not as nice as most KOAs. Staff was OK but not friendly. We had asked if we could have late check out on July 1 and were told "no" because it was a busy holiday weekend. They had to get the campsite ready. We don't know what had to be done to get the campsite ready because it was all dirt. Shower area is way too cramped and no place to put your stuff.

Thank you for filling out our survey. With the amount of staff available and the number of sites to clean, sometimes late checkouts aren't available. We do always offer for our guests to be able to drop their trailers in our yard so they can go about their day and pick it up later as an alternative.

I have a 32 foot motorhome. The site was so slanted that the front wheels of my rv was 15 inches off the ground. Barely could reach the electrical connection with 30 feet of cord. The park was nice but I was given a terrible site for my rig. Sewer dump is poorly located. Trying to leave but was blocked in for 10 minutes by people dumping.

We were there to see the Pictured Rocks seashore. Although we eventually did and had a wonderful time, I was surprised that the office didn't have more information beyond a few brochures. Some local knowledge would have been helpful in avoiding some hasty decisions on what tour provider to engage. Otherwise, the campground was the usual high quality KOA.

Bathrooms were not clean, laundry doesn’t have enough working machines, sites were not level, not enough full hookup sites

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. The laundry room offers 3 working washers and dryers, none of them out of order. We recommend reserving early in the year to get a full hook up site.

Fire wood was very difficult to get to burn. Had to bring the fire wood to our camp site ourselves. Camp ground was very nice.

Make sure you get a site among the trees in the back of the campground. The front spaces are wide open, close to the road and close together. The sites in the back are nice. We appreciated the reasonably priced laundry facilities. Friendly staff. The KOA looked like the best place to stay in the area.

Most campsites are in the woods, spacious, clean. A nice place to camp whether just for one night or many. Pictured Rocks and Munising nearby is a plus.

The property is perfect, we loved the heated pool and cleanliness of bathrooms was fantastic.

Worst bathrooms / shower houses ever. Nice campground but would never stay here again because of the showers. Absolutely awful. Water everywhere. So small can’t bend over. Bad bad. Bad.

Overall, our stay was very nice. However, my main complaint would be the fact that there was only 1 set of bathrooms for so many people to use. And then the fact that they are closed for cleaning with no alternative was disappointing and created a desperate situation at one point. Campground was slightly noisier than other KOAs I’ve stayed at too.

We had a nice, peaceful stay. We got our firewood from them and there was a lot in each bundle for the price. Only downside was there were only 3 showers and it was really hard to get in to take one.

It was awesome, one setback was my car broke down, and the staff at the KOA had a friend deliver a new starter from a parts store an hour away to save our vacation. Just unbelievable how great those girls were! Because my car was fixed I was able to drive to miners castle in the middle of the night to fulfill number 1 on my bucket list. I got to see the northern lights. I’ll never forget that KO

Sites too close together. Showers. & restrooms not in central location. George was terrific checking us in. Friendly & knowledgeable. Construction on road to campground was annoying. Traffic very backed up.

Great location, great spot! Campground very neat, staff friendly and one of the best locations to be to get around the northern part of the Upper Peninsula.

Site we were asigned had no wster, just 20 amp power.... who has sites (other than tent sites) that don't have water??!! I complained and was given a full service site...for $15 more! Site was average, a little muddy, and tight to neighboring RVs. OK for a night, but I wouldn't stay there for multiple days. I was hoping the competition from Harvest Host would bring RV campgrounds prices down...

We apologize that you did not find your stay satisfactory. It looks like you made your reservation for the site with electricity only on the internet yourself the day before, and we apologize if you did not realize that is what you booked. We do have limited availability sometimes on short notice.

We had a great time and the place was very convenient for our vacation goals!! The staff was very friendly and helpful, in particular George and Maddy. We had fun with them! The firewood was very good and available as well as other amenities. We will return if given the choice and option!!!!! Thank you!! K

Rest rooms were slightly under serviced. Staff were polite & extremely informative. Campgrounds we’re clean & well kept. The “dog run” that was not fenced in was overgrown & not taken care of. 4 out of 5 stars!!

We had a rustic site. It was not on the KOA site and hard to find. The rustic area had a porta potty, since the shower room was too far to even walk too. The drive to the rustic area ( a wood/weed) area behind a hotel, was littered with abandoned items, like a tractor trailer, metal, pallets, no trespassing signs. The actual site we had, was very nice. Just getting there was poorly designed.

Very nice campground. There's plenty to do there and in the surrounding areas. The only thing that needs worked on are people parking in the lanes. They don't understand how hard it is to maneuver around them when pulling a camper.

Loved our stay. Perfect location. Kayaking and hiking! Munising is a nice little town also!

Very nice staff The bathroom however needs more trash bins because they overflow with paper towels. The one sink was not useable for two days, disgusting liquid looked like vomit. Also, the area outside of the shower should have a drain. The floor gets to be so wet and has puddles. Someone could slip and fall. The bathrooms should be checked more often.

Campsite was pretty muddy. Cable did not work. WIFI was pretty crappy and barely worked.

We had a lovely stay at the park despite the road work on M-28 at the entrance. We were at the back of the park in a spacius, but slopped w/e site. The water pressure was low and the wifi didn't reach that far. We both spent time in the office or under the shelter getting through our internet activities. The cable was off and on. I really enjoyed the "in the woods" feel of this park.

Cabin we rented was clean. Appreciated the couple of porch chairs. Facilities were spotless and well supplied. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Campground was clean and updated.

Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- Stayed here in late-July 2023. Back-in. Water and electric only 30 amp. Site #62 $53/night 3 nights stayed Site #62 THE GOOD Location: Close to town where you go to take any of the tours of Pictured Rocks. Also close to gas, food, and groceries (about 10 min). Sites: Backed up to woods with lots of space and felt really comfortable for a camping experience. THE BAD Site: All grass and not level. NOT GOOD OR BAD: Wifi: Did not connect to campground wifi. Cell service: Neither Verizon or AT&T were good. AT&T was just good enough to get some light work done. Facilities: Did not use laundry or showers to review.
