We had a good, short stay. Thankfully there are a lot of trees because it was really hot that day. The scavenger hunt kept our daughter entertained; plus the tulip scavenger hunt.

Its always a great stay for us, although were usually only there an overnight or two... it is the perfect place to do laundry and just wind down while on our way from AZ to WA

Small park with a lot of full timers. Park is very clean and is well taken care of. Most of the available sites are pull throughs and ours was long enough for our 36’ motorhome and room to park our car. Probably could have left the car on but turning into the site would have been tight. We needed the car so it wasn’t a problem. Staff were very nice and provided helpful information.

I was very disappointed in this KOA. Being packed in like sardines, a very small patch of grass, behind the RV, no place to pull out your chairs, and the view you had was nothing but rows of RV’s of people living there, rather than camping, unless you sat on your bed and looked out your window, or sat at the tiny patch of grass and picnic table. Pictures were deceiving.

I was very pleased with the condition of the site and the amenities of the facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the city and restaurant we ate at. The Pendleton wool clothing store is a must see along with the tour.

The sites were nice and level. Bathrooms were clean quiet place no complaints. We were only there for one night.

This is not a camping experience. This is a homeless encampment. This park is 90% full of full-time residents, pretty obvious. I did not think this was ever KOA's policy. This park is all paved, cramped and basically a parking lot. I've been to MANY as a member, This is the worst experience. However- it was CLEAN. If I could submit a photo here I would.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

"Homeless encampment" would imply a level of trashiness that we take great pains to avoid! Our extended-stay guests (around SIXTY%) must have RVs less than 10 years old, and must keep their sites clean and tidy. Longer-term guests, as well as staff, take pride in our neighborhood--we live here too!

The staff at the Pendleton KOA are terrific! The management takes great pride in the maintenance & cleanliness of the facilities. We ended up camping next to permanent campers who were incessant pot smokers. The units are close together so we continually smelled their pot smoke. The internet connection was pretty weak. There are good places to walk the dog nearby, with sidewalks & grass.

Great overnight stop. Loved the bathrooms and laundry. Very friendly office person made us feel instantly welcome ~ clean and quiet.

Bathrooms were very clean and convenient to our site which was near the entrance. Campground was quiet. Strong (nasty) smell of sewer the second night and again the morning that we left.

Gosh, I'm sorry--sounds like someone near you had a leak or left the sewer access open. Smell-of-poo is NOT how we hope to be remembered!

My number was 91..an in cr credibly long walk to the restroom for a77 year old. We were next to the doag resting area where humans apparently are allowed yo smoke tho n they can't smoke in the restroom. U am old and v do not b smoke.Need no smoking rules. On the poditi v e b side, the view was priceless.

Yes, I still love that view too! Thank you for your suggestion. I'll be honest, it hadn't crossed my mind to post "no smoking" outdoors--but you make an excellent point about a small, communal space.

Friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Grounds very well maintained. Restroom/shower facility was good. The only negative for me was that sites are extremely close together. That's just a personal preference. I have been to this KOA once before, and I would stay here again.

Over the years, this KOA has gone from a clean and friendly overnight stop to a sketchy place to stay even for one night. The long term tenants just ruin it. I understand the business side of it but, I am on vacation and just need an overnight spot that fits into our travel plan. We found a different RV camp to overnight in the area. I hope the sale of this property cleans it up.

We go to great lengths to ensure that our overnight guests and our extended-stay guests can coexist comfortably side-by-side, including an extensive set of rules to which extended-stay guests must sign their agreement. Keeping the park clean & uncluttered & quiet & safe is our PRIORITY.

We were just there for an overnight, but the campground was great a little tight but easy access for my big rig. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The grounds are well kept, and we would gladly return for another stay

Well kept restrooms and showers. Spaces are very very tight, hardly any room outside your trailer. Lots of monthly tenants. Fine for a stopover for one night. Not a place I would want to stay for very long.

This was the cleanest quietest campground. We’ve stayed in in many years. The bathrooms were spotless and available. The staff were friendly and visible. We would recommend this campground easily.

Bathrooms were nice and clean, but I’m wondering why someone would schedule building maintenance during a busy holiday weekend? After spending hours in the car we were not able to use the clubhouse because of this. Also I was told I couldn’t even sit on the porch because they “wanted to keep it clean” as if my sitting there would dirty up the place. That felt really rude.

You're right, it sounds rude if you didn't know it was the patio itself they were about to epoxy; I apologize for how rude that felt. As far as scheduling--at this time of year we're nearly as full on a Tuesday or Thursday as on a holiday, so we don't have the luxury of waiting for "slow" days ;)

This is 100% hands down, the cleanest, most accommodating RV park I've ever stayed at. Yes it's a journey, but the managers and staff are in their own class of hospitality. And I've stayed at plentyyyy of RV parks throughout oregon/Washington. You guys rock, keep it up. Thank you for everything!

Nice, clean, easy on and off the interstate. Nice dog park. Green grass on all sites. Friendly staff. Great views of the Blue Mountains.
