We stay at the KOA in Oscoda regularly through the summer and this first camping trip of the season was almost a bust, but the staff went above and beyond and there was a cabin available the weekend we were planning to be there. It was so nice, clean and stocked with some essentials (dishes, toilet paper) which was a welcome surprise. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The campground hosts were amazing and very accommodating. The campground was very nice, the bathrooms were very clean, and our cabin was adorable! We look forward to coming back in the future.

Everything was excellent, from Check-In to Check-out ! The owners/operators were very personable, and it was a joy to meet them! We will definitely be back, and I look forward to seeing them again!!

We stayed in Kabin 6 and our neighbors were loud. The first 2 nights they were quiet by 11 but night 3 they were very loud past 11 and no one came to tell them to be quiet. I had a 2 year old and a 3 month old with me try to sleep and woken up by the the neighbors. I called the number and left a message and still nothing was done about it. I asked them to be quiet and they mocked me.

Very nice place. The staff are wonderful here. Very friendly. They escort you to your site, pick up your trash, deliver bundles of firewood. Bathrooms are updated and clean. We stayed in a cabin this time. That was very nice. The campground is not huge but a good size. It's clean and quite. There is plenty of things for the kids to do. I will be coming back to this KOA. Thank you for a wonderful.

Tv remote issues but other than that perfect. No need for anything except bath and bedroom linens. Koa provides all necessary kitchen and paper supplies in the deluxe cabins. You would be hard pressed to find any faults with the campground itself. Owner Mike is onsite and hospitable.

Great place, loved the campground, will come again for our third stay next year! But one lady working there 8/27 11am with long hair was overheard talking bad about people using the bath rooms while they were being cleaned. There was no sign stating that they're cleaning it and no signs or anything letting anybody know what times they are cleaned daily. This was very rude and uncalled for.

The campground is well cared for and maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My fiancé and I got engaged while we were there and the staff went out of their way to congratulate us and wish us well. They also do train/fire truck rides for the kids at the campground, which is really cute to see. Great all around. We will definitely be back.

Have stayed many times, recently Aug 9-11. Friendly & fast checkin, the info they give you on local hiking trails is useful. The cabins are clean + ac works, hot clean shower facility. Noticed the arcade is very broken now. And this time, my neighbors firepit was barely a couple yards from mine, not a lot of privacy for night time relaxing. It was bearable but not optimal, some spaces are better

The rec room was closed our entire stay, the pool closed for a day. Not sure why either of these things were closed. The camp store closes to early at 7.

Great stay at Oscoda. When we needed something, the response time was very quickly. The only part of the stay was the marijuana smell at night. It may be legal in the state, but this is still private property.

The pool was closed for a day and a half for cleaning. The recreation building was closed the entire time because they can't fix broken machines. The kids were disappointed that the train only ran Friday and Saturday so we missed it! The firewood wouldn't burn because it was wet. We won't be back!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The pool had to be closed for 24 hours for cleaning. A little boy had an accident. Has for the game room the gentelmen who took care died recently. Waiting to see what family will do with business. The train has always only run on Fri. and Sat. All of this was of our control.

Terrible campground. Cabin stunk at check in. Charged my debit card $500 3 days after check out accusing us of smoking in cabin, which we did not. Smelled of smoke when we checked in. Pool area was awful. Train drives thru campground at night waking everyone at campground. Will never be back:

Our staff cleans and refreahes cabins before guests check in. There was no oder of smoke in cabin before you stayed.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Great campground and layout. The cabins are clean and equipped with mainly everything you could need. My kids and I had a great time and will be back.

The cabin was great we got a deluxe cabin. The arcade was kinda awful 27 games and only 13 worked. The arcade was dirty, no one cleans in there. The pool definitely isn’t for smaller kids like I have. I don’t think it’s worth the money to rent a cabin there.

I’m giving this place 2 stars based off the positive things that we enjoyed. Check in was easy, pool was 4ft-5ft deep & clean, and the kids playground was nicely set up. However the cabins are super close & not separate from rv, Quiet time 11pm,circuit breaker kept trippin, WiFi didn’t work and bugs were bad. Staff was super friendly and I appreciated that we got an escort to lead us to our cabin. Lots of activities for the kids to do and the camp store is very clean with a wide selection. My daughter loved the pool and the jumping pillow!! Only negative I can think of is that a lot of the games in the rec center were out of order. Would stay again, no questions asked.

We loved our five day four night stay and a rustic cabin. We chose the two room cabin and it was cozy, warm, and dry. When we arrived, they were waiting on us and so friendly. Dale took us to our spot and let us settle in. They deliver firewood and ice to your campsite. The pool was clean and heated. So even though it was a little cool outside, my daughter still enjoyed swimming. The bathrooms were clean and the showers had hot water. The only disappointment was the game room because you had to pay for the games. They had pool, air, hockey, and some arcade style video games. My favorite part of the campground was how quiet it was. I could sit on the porch swing in the morning with my coffee and just listen to nature. And additional bonus was there is a train that goes by twice at night. We were lucky to be able to watch it pass on the last night and wave to the conductor. We enjoyed going into Ocsoda and Tawas For shopping and dining. I would definitely come back here again. It was a wonderful experience.

Great people, very helpful. They come around and pick up your garbage and will deliver firewood. There is a train that goes by every night that is pretty loud and close but is gone quickly.

We LOVED our stay at the campground. We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was very clean and cozy. Our 3 year old was super excited to sleep on the bunk bed. There was lots for him to do. The staff was all friendly and caring. We had some potential nasty weather coming, the owners made sure everyone knew it was coming and was prepared. The camp store had lots of goodies, which I could have dropped a lot of money there. Thanks for a great stay!
