Have stayed many times, recently Aug 9-11. Friendly & fast checkin, the info they give you on local hiking trails is useful. The cabins are clean + ac works, hot clean shower facility. Noticed the arcade is very broken now. And this time, my neighbors firepit was barely a couple yards from mine, not a lot of privacy for night time relaxing. It was bearable but not optimal, some spaces are better

We really enjoyed our stay, so much we stayed an extra night! Park is clean & well cared for. Great location for parks, canoeing & Lake Huron! Office staff very nice & helpful. The " Train" didn't bother us, kinda fun. Thanks for a good time!

Pool was not heated on days we stayed there, so was unavailable. Bathrooms were clean and had hot water which is important to us. I wish this campground had paved roads and sites or else more grass. Sites are kind of dirty unless you have a mat.

My only complaint was with the wood that was sold. We could not get that wood to burn very well. I talked to a couple of other campers and they were having the same problem. I don’t know why but the only thing that I could think of is that the wood was not seasoned. It smoke a lot. Maybe it was me but I don’t think so. Respectfully Dan

Nice camp site Super friendly staff Enjoyed watching kids have fun on the train rides and fire engine store had a lot of very useful items that we had forgotten Very convenient to stores and recreation every one was friendly to my dog

The rec room was closed our entire stay, the pool closed for a day. Not sure why either of these things were closed. The camp store closes to early at 7.

Average at best park. Small pool, dirt roads, campsite wasn't clean. Checkout policy is silly, 11am for a gravel site that wasn't clean so people can check in early. Won't stay again.

We stayed at site 101 it was clean updated. Staff took us to correct site very helpful. Staff willing to help make my stay as comfortable and convenient. Pool was clean my son loved it. Bathrooms are updated and very clean I was surprised at how clean they were, toilet paper and hand towels or dryer present at all times it’s the little things that make a difference. I highly recommend !!!!

It was fine till the person that came parked his rig right next to us put his rig right next to us window to window, they where pull thru sites, he could of moved back or forward to not be so close. Or you are going to have to move one site over some the pads are to close, so it puts the units to close. Looked around and none of the other sites were that close to each other. And love The park

Great stay at Oscoda. When we needed something, the response time was very quickly. The only part of the stay was the marijuana smell at night. It may be legal in the state, but this is still private property.

As usual our stay was splendid! Staff was friendly and very helpful when you had a question. The main bathrooms were outstanding. They were clean and the showers were large and very clean. Only missing was a place to sit. My goodness you could not ask for much more. Plenty of things for the kids to do and a nice swimming pool for everyone! We have been going here for 10 years an love it!

This our my second time staying here and both last year and this year were fantastic. The grounds are well maintained, the bathrooms and pool are kept clean, and the staff are always wonderful and friendly. We plan to come back as often as possible!

There are so many great things about this park. There is a huge playground and pool for the kids to keep them busy. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Nice clean park. The only complaint is some campers failed to clean up after there dog in the dog park. That’s on them not the park staff. We will definitely go back!

This campground had the nicest, most relaxing staff. They made the stay comfortable. Grandkids had so much fun. They did not want to leave. Only downside was it could use more shower stalls.

What a wonderfully and peaceful place to stay. It had plenty of activities for children to do and a very friendly and helpful staff. Every aspect of the camp was well run and clean. And it was nice to find out that every aspect of this camp was family run. You barely put your garbage out at the post and it was picked up. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit the Oscoda/Tawas KOA Camp.

Some of the workers were a little gruff, bordering on rude. I need the restroom and couldn’t see that they were cleaning because the golf cart blocked their signage. I was asked “where do you think you’re going?” Then told to come back in 20min. Also, when we went to swim, a man stared at us then commented how it took him 3 hours to clean the pool…it made it uncomfortable. Overall, good

The pool was closed for a day and a half for cleaning. The recreation building was closed the entire time because they can't fix broken machines. The kids were disappointed that the train only ran Friday and Saturday so we missed it! The firewood wouldn't burn because it was wet. We won't be back!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The pool had to be closed for 24 hours for cleaning. A little boy had an accident. Has for the game room the gentelmen who took care died recently. Waiting to see what family will do with business. The train has always only run on Fri. and Sat. All of this was of our control.

The campground was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The kids loved the playground and pool. By far the cleanest bathrooms we have experienced camping.

Very busy on weekends. Organized. Small pool busy with kids. Beware of the train noise 2x per night at 11pm+. They do warn you. Overall good.

Everything was very clean, and the facilities were very nice. It was also a very peaceful campground to stay at. The only downfall is the train tracks are right next to the campground. But other than that, it was a great place to spend our vacation.

We loved our five day four night stay and a rustic cabin. We chose the two room cabin and it was cozy, warm, and dry. When we arrived, they were waiting on us and so friendly. Dale took us to our spot and let us settle in. They deliver firewood and ice to your campsite. The pool was clean and heated. So even though it was a little cool outside, my daughter still enjoyed swimming. The bathrooms were clean and the showers had hot water. The only disappointment was the game room because you had to pay for the games. They had pool, air, hockey, and some arcade style video games. My favorite part of the campground was how quiet it was. I could sit on the porch swing in the morning with my coffee and just listen to nature. And additional bonus was there is a train that goes by twice at night. We were lucky to be able to watch it pass on the last night and wave to the conductor. We enjoyed going into Ocsoda and Tawas For shopping and dining. I would definitely come back here again. It was a wonderful experience.

Great people, very helpful. They come around and pick up your garbage and will deliver firewood. There is a train that goes by every night that is pretty loud and close but is gone quickly.

We LOVED our stay at the campground. We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was very clean and cozy. Our 3 year old was super excited to sleep on the bunk bed. There was lots for him to do. The staff was all friendly and caring. We had some potential nasty weather coming, the owners made sure everyone knew it was coming and was prepared. The camp store had lots of goodies, which I could have dropped a lot of money there. Thanks for a great stay!
