Great place, loved the campground, will come again for our third stay next year! But one lady working there 8/27 11am with long hair was overheard talking bad about people using the bath rooms while they were being cleaned. There was no sign stating that they're cleaning it and no signs or anything letting anybody know what times they are cleaned daily. This was very rude and uncalled for.

Great place but we are reevaluating our club going back in the future. The place was half empty despite the beautiful weather. To us that indicates that maybe the high prices and extra fee for site requests are finally getting the COVID campers to reassess their involvement. Adjustments will have to be made for us to consider staying on any KOAs now....

We were greeted with a big smile but the great stay started before that. We had trouble with our tow vehicle and the staff was so nice arranging for our check-in. We opted into the text messages that updated us on events going on. Every staff person we encountered was so nice. The sites were tidy and flat. Gravel/dirt to park your camper and our sites were pull in with a nice cement patio.

Beautiful campground! Lots of trees, grounds well cared for, friendly staff. Close to downtown Oscoda and Tawas. And the beach!

We enjoyed our visit. The staff were helpful and friendly. The suggestion of where to place our trailer on the site made setup easy. We will recommend the campground to anyone looking for a place in the area.

We have stayed at this KOA many times over the years. The campground is extremely clean and well kept. The owners and employees are very friendly and always there to help. They always make our stay fun and comfortable.

Very nice staff. Clean pool. Women's bath next to store was left without hand-soap for a few days after reporting it. Need to monitor shower's for cleaning more often, dirty.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Soap was refilled within 10 minutes of being reported. Our bathrooms are cleaned 3 times a day.

Team members who go above and beyond to assist you to ensure you’re having a great stay. Text reminders. Great shaded and sunny park. Lots of woodpeckers if you’re a birder. Close to town, Huron-Manistee National Forest, and the beach (Lake Huron). Large playground, well stocked store on souvenirs. Coin laundry clean. Near train tracks.

Excellent well maintained camp with lots of internal things to do at camp. Very friendly staff and helpful for their campers. I plan to return again each year.

The only thing I didn't like about this park was that we were located next to the train tracks. The RV moved when trains came by. The campsite was a great one. We liked the patio and the layout of the site.

The site, #72, a pull through with full hook-ups, was not exactly what I had experienced at other KOAs, but it was okay for us. The site was quite sloped and the patio presented a trip hazard, as the patio was higher than the surrounding grass and/or gravel.

Very nice campground. The patio sites are great. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Pool looks nice and all amenities were very clean. The train was not an issue at all. It's very peaceful and quiet. We would stay again

This our 3rd year to camp here. My grandkids love the Hugh jumping pillow and arcade. We were again having a delightful time until Friday. One of the KOA workers knocked on the trailer door. We had just gotten back from Tawas, it was a rainy day. He then accused my grandkids of messing up the bathroom another worker had pointed out our campsite. Great park, had 40 foot RV towing 20 foot trailer, site accommodation was great. Only problem was the weather, rain for 24 hours made it a bit muddy.

The campsites have so much dirt and no grass, it was hard to keep the RV clean. We really wish there were paved sites and larger patios. There are zero activities for the kids. The pool was freezing cold.

The campground is well cared for and maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My fiancé and I got engaged while we were there and the staff went out of their way to congratulate us and wish us well. They also do train/fire truck rides for the kids at the campground, which is really cute to see. Great all around. We will definitely be back.

I can not say enough good things to cover everything and how my husband and I feel about the campground, owners and staff. They are wonderful. We started out just staying a couple of days and extended our stay with ease. My husband loves the train runs to watch every night. Lots to do between Tawas and OSCODA. Enjoyed our stay- Thank you �

Our buddy sites were nice but small. There was no grass, all sandy dirt resulting in a filthy camper but, that’s part of camping I suppose. Staff seemed nice. We didn’t use many of the amenities, pool seemed small and was closed one day without a text communication which was disappointing for our friends that walked up there for nothing.

It started out wonderful. The rec center communication was awful. Yes you can come in, no you all have to leave. Good communication on train rides and if you need firewood. Would have been nice to know the pool was closed for repairs. Asked a staff worker about it and was told "I am not working in the front office ". Okay then, attitude not needed. New dryers are needed.

Nice campground! Not very big, but it’s clean, clean, clean! Family rented a cabin, while we brought in our fifth wheel. The patio sites are a nice size. Lots of trees here! Pool is small, but kids didn’t use it much anyway. Lots to do in the area! Beautiful beaches! We rented a pontoon boat and spent the day on the Foote Dam (loved it) We’re coming back next year and the Staff is great

We loved our five day four night stay and a rustic cabin. We chose the two room cabin and it was cozy, warm, and dry. When we arrived, they were waiting on us and so friendly. Dale took us to our spot and let us settle in. They deliver firewood and ice to your campsite. The pool was clean and heated. So even though it was a little cool outside, my daughter still enjoyed swimming. The bathrooms were clean and the showers had hot water. The only disappointment was the game room because you had to pay for the games. They had pool, air, hockey, and some arcade style video games. My favorite part of the campground was how quiet it was. I could sit on the porch swing in the morning with my coffee and just listen to nature. And additional bonus was there is a train that goes by twice at night. We were lucky to be able to watch it pass on the last night and wave to the conductor. We enjoyed going into Ocsoda and Tawas For shopping and dining. I would definitely come back here again. It was a wonderful experience.

Great people, very helpful. They come around and pick up your garbage and will deliver firewood. There is a train that goes by every night that is pretty loud and close but is gone quickly.

We LOVED our stay at the campground. We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was very clean and cozy. Our 3 year old was super excited to sleep on the bunk bed. There was lots for him to do. The staff was all friendly and caring. We had some potential nasty weather coming, the owners made sure everyone knew it was coming and was prepared. The camp store had lots of goodies, which I could have dropped a lot of money there. Thanks for a great stay!
