We found the entrance and roadways on our arrival were not up to usual KOA standards however the reception we received by the campground manager more than made up for this. We were even escorted to our campsite! the facilities showed signs of age but were clean and everything worked. The location is very convenient for those arriving from the daytime ferry crossing ng from Newwfoundland.

What a great welcome we had! Made us feel at home! When we had questions about shopping in the town, the lady took the time to explain and show us on a map where the best places would be. And the site was perfect. A very big thank you!

Stayed in a 34’ travel trailer. We had a pull through full hookup. Campground staff was outstanding. Site was nice but wet and soft from the excessive rain this year. Needed to be careful driving into site. The view was very nice overlooking the lake. WIFI was good. Great location to see the local sights. Fire pit was across the road with no room to sit unless in the street.

i only spent one evening so an evaluation would not be robust. The staff on check in were extremely friendly and efficient. The location is very convenient when traveling through Nova Scotia after just disembarking.from the Newfoundland ferry. If ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here again. GOD bless!

the location was perfect for all the places we were seeing, the view of the water and bridge were very pretty, the KOA itself was not up to the same standard of KOA's we have stayed at....the grass could be cut, the place overall needs some TLC, looks old and tired. Maybe some gravel to park on as the grass was very wet and mushy. Took a while for that to dry out.

Was raining when we arrived and the site was soaked from rain and huge puddles around we left day earlier than originally planned as we spent the whole time inside with two dogs. Park grass was very long and disappointing that I had booked back in April for a site looking at the river and it was blocked by trees

Site was sloping more that 6 inches. Sewer was uphill and could not use. Bathrooms are closed during the most critical time10-1. Disappointing for its location.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Facilities were clean and location was very nice. The only thing that I would complain about is that there wasn't a hide amount of things for our kids to do here such as a pool or jumping pillow but we would still definitely recommend this koa and stay here again

Glad to have a campground close to the ferry! Excellent service and they were able to assist us in finding someone to service our trailer.

Scenic views. Clean and well organized. Perfect pit stop for our adventure down the road. We were upgraded to a very scenic spot, but just a bit tough getting in and out with our long truck of 22ft and trailer of 22ft

Amazing over the top campground and owners! The views are second to none and the owners of the park went above and beyond to accommodate us. The view from our site was excellent overseeing the water. The campground is well situated to visit the Cabot Trail, Sydney and the Fortress of Louisbourg. Sites are a good size.

Awesome campground, really, really friendly staff, most helpful and caring. We had an awesome staff, anyone that wants to branch out and visit different parts of Cape Breton this is your campground, very central for access to all of Cape Breton. We stayed 8 days , our plan for next year is to book 14 plus days, can's wait for our next visit to this KOA . Thanks to the owners for an awesome time.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The actual campground is in a beautiful setting with lovely views. Lots of room to move our RV around upon arrival-an important feature for us.

We spent 2 nights at the location and everything was perfect. The sites were large and with a great view! The washrooms were very well maintained and CLEAN!. The pet play park was a bonus and where we had 2 dogs it was a great place to relax and let them play. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Thank You for making our stay enjoyable!

Terrain avec belle vue vers le lac mais très bruyant a cause des camions er autos sur le pont . Très décevant pour un koa .pas bien entretenu. Feu dans la rue très très moyen ( ont voit bien que le camping ne veux pas que l’on fasse de feu pour le mettre ainsi dans le chemin). Beautiful campground, amazing view and great facilities. Owner and staff very welcoming and a pleasure to stay with. This is our fourth trip en route to Newfoundland and definitely a must stay at for a few nights
