I loved this KOA! Staff are awesome, the gift store is fully stocked with essentials and souvenirs. Pool was open late, super clean and refreshing. Bathrooms clean and awesome hot showers. Our campsite was private under beautiful Live Oak trees, and it was wonderful to sit around the firepit and relax.

I loved the cleanliness of hose faucet the campground. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I liked the shower. The only thing that could make it better if they had a hose on the faucet.

It wasn't as close to downtown as we thought it would be, but that turned out to be fine. The sites are a bit cramped, but not all were occupied, so it worked out well for us. The trees around us were a pleasant surprise, and we enjoyed the birds singing by us.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback! We are only 12 miles from the French Quarter, but of course, any place in a big city will have city traffic, thus taking awhile to get there. We are a smaller park but do have pretty spacious sites with a grass yard in between. Thanks for your patronage!

We stayed 23 days this trip and as Always the staff was Great(Doreen, Shawn, Bill), and of Course Mike the owner who interactes with the Guest daily. There is No other Place in NOLA that I would stay! Easy to get to off and on I-10. Excellent KOA!

We stayed for over a week and the campground provided all the amenities we needed. They also provide additional services, such as dog sitting/grooming and RV washing. The sites were quite close together and not in the nicest neighborhood, but access to grocery, highways, and some restaurants was good. The location is very close to train tracks and the airport, so was a little noisy.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi. Closeness & neighborhood...the city limits where RV parks can go & won't allow them in certain areas. Parks IN the city will be smaller & have city noise, as it is CITY camping, as our website & reviews reflect. Wish the score would have been better for all we did offer/do. Thanks

The staff was friendly & helpful. The amenities were clean & convenient.

The Campground is well maintained. The washroom and shower are cleaned daily. The campground is right next to the Mississippi river, and you are 20 miles from downtown New Orleans.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! We appreciate your patronage very much! Just a correction...we are actually only 12 miles from the French Quarter. Thank you for staying with us & for your feedback! We hope to see you again!

Too many dogs allowed to be put in dog fences next to RV's early in morning. Dogs woke us up some mornings barking at 6:30/7am in mornings

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! We wish we would have been notified about this! We are VERY strict on our quiet times & would have IMMEDIATELY dealt with this! That is before our office is even open & therefore we wouldn't see or know! We hope you give us another chance! We appreciate your patronage! Thank you!

Staff were AWESOME! (5 star!) Loved the shuttle and dog service. The campground itself is just a place to park- showers clean but old small/not ideal.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! Our bathhouse is on the list for a major remodel as time & funds allow. We don't have all the things parks not in a major city would have, but our park is def more than just a place to park! Dog walking, shuttle, tour desk, rec hall, pool, playground, MS river trail, +

The camp was clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. Doreen,Dave and Mike made our stay easy.

Best ever
Feb 27, 2026
Clean and friendly. Their shuttle downtown is very convienent and Dave the driver made a tour of the trip both ways. He was also very helpful and gregarious around the campground.
Feb 27, 2026
The campground was very close to downtown and the transportation offered to town was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our camping experience especially helping us with our tow dolly and backing into our site.

Great people, easy travel, clean and safe. A little noisy due to airport and trains, but I like those sounds.

This is a lovely campground just outside of New Orleans. It is small but mighty with wonderful amenities and helpful, friendly staff. We intend to return again!

Feb 24, 2026
Great staff and location. It's an easy drive to downtown and there is a daily shuttle too. Nice level back in sites with plenty of room.
Feb 23, 2026
Love the van ride option
Feb 23, 2026
It was a good location. My biggest complaint is that your website should indicate that the shuttles cost money AND that you had decided to only offer one option (w/a return trip) per day. That was one of the main reasons we stayed there but we ended up figuring something else out because there was only one shuttle time. :(

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi. Our website is VERY detailed & lists every, single thing about our park, including all the shuttle info. If you go to our info tab on our website, there are several paragraphs under "Shuttle Info" which tells everything about our shuttle...times, prices, etc. We are VERY transparent. Thank you
Feb 23, 2026
Very clean, well maintained, staff are everywhere always working on something and readily available to help you. Very nice staff went above and beyond for a local item I was looking for. Our first koa visit. Trains and plains are not as bad as some reviews. Park was nice. Just not sure price was worth it.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Welcome to the KOA family! Our park is a different type of KOA, as it is IN a major city. We hope you enjoy stays at our other beautiful parks! As far as price...again, IN a major city & busiest time of year. Only a few parks here...same price or even up to double ours. Location/busy season. Thanks!

Our 2nd stay at the KOA New Orleans. Like the first a wonderful stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We love being able to arrange for the shuttle into NO and arrange for tours as well. Just perfect. Thank you for a great stay.

This is the second visit to New Orleans KOA. They have updated their office & store but the staff were still their awesome self. They have concrete pads and they provide two staff members to help when backing in. It was fast and efficient The shuttle took us into the heart of New Orleans every day by a different route. Special note: Melody offers dog sitting on site and she is awesome!!!

Wonderful campground! Well maintained, Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed 2 months and would stay again if our plans include New Orleans.
Feb 12, 2026
Professionally run, helpful pleasant staff. Clean well maintained facility.
Feb 12, 2026
The KOA is an older facility. The staff were helpful as much as they could be. We had a question and the person who was covering the desk was unable to answer and assured us that she would contact the owner for them to in turn speak with us. This did make sense to us as the question about billing. We never heard from the owner or their representative. This was disheartening to say the least.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! We are very sorry that we weren't informed about this. We definitely would have reached out. We appreciate your patronage & hope you give us another chance. Thank you

Nice KOA with very clean amenities and a wonderful staff. Location was good because it was just across from the beautiful Mississippi River, but it was also not good because it's very close to train tracks with very loud and frequent trains in the evening and occassionally in the middle of the night. Also, not many good restaurants, grocery, or shopping nearby.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi. We make it very clear, as do our reviews, that we are in the city with city noises. We could have given info. We are IN a major city...we have 10-15 grocery stores, 2 Super Walmarts & TONS of restaurants within a 5 mile radius, some even walkable! We have 2 malls within 10 mile radius! Thank you

Great location outside the city. Clean campground. Wonderful and super friendly customer service. Short drive to hop on the St. Charles trolley.
Feb 07, 2026
We stayed in a patio site. back in but nice site. We used the laundry that was spacious, clean, and had multiple washers and dryers. We used the shuttle service 3 times to the French Quarter. Great service that I wish more KOAs would provide. $10/ea or $15/ea round trip. We took Uber return on Friday night and it was $30 one way for 2 of us. Uber driver got a little lost getting around parade.

Friendly staff and owners , shuttle is very convenient for downtown excursions. Showers were clean and HOT. Our spot had a fireplace and table and chairs with umbrella.

One month in NOLA, everything was great. All the people working at the park were helpful. We had a great stay.
Feb 06, 2026
Clean, everything worked perfectly

Very friendly staff! Very knowledgable about the city and helped is book tours. They have a shuttle bus to the downtown which made getting around a breeze. Dave our driver gave us a great insight to the city history!

Our second time staying here, we enjoyed the customer service, all the facilities are really nice and we've got some really nice upgraded sites. We enjoy using this time, it's close to everything and very safe with Security at night, we really appreciate that, we will be going back in the future as well

Phenomenal staff, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & shared great tips.Super clean bathrooms & laundry!Site is clean & well cared for.Easy to get to downtown for activities.Great souvenirs in the store. The bad for us we had loud & screaming kids next to us, the train is loud at all hours & a lot of airplane noise, but that’s not the KOAs fault!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate the words of not holding noises against us. Just for future reference, our franchisor counts anything below a 9 or 10 as a negative score. We appreciate your patronage. Thank you

The New Orleans KOA Holiday is a bit of a gem in the rough. It's not a fancy RV resort, but has a variety of camping options. The best thing about this KOA is the service, friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and secure. They provide shuttle service options into town and have a well-stocked store. It's our go-to stop in the area.

We (3 large Class A motor homes) visited New Orleans, LA in May 2026. We stayed 2 days. The sites were level, we were placed next to each other and the staff were fantastic. We took the KOA shuttle to downtown in the morning and were picked up in the afternoon. Our driver, Dave offered historic background info on the city on the drive down and back. He drove by many of the old scenic homes in town. He helped two of our disabled seniors in/out of the van during every journey. He is amazing. Deborah (office) was so nice and helpful. They have a pool, daily trash pickup, a well manicured property and overnight security. We felt safe and cared for during our visit. We highly recommend this campground.
