Helpful, friendly staff! There’s always someone around to help you and they can book tours for you. The gift shop is fabulous, nice stuff and good prices. The area felt safe. You will get noise from trains and planes (not automobiles, though). Easy access to Mississippi River Trail. It is about 25 minutes into NOLA. They have a shuttle $15 one way or you can drive in and park for about $20/day.

A large home made trailer with no bathroom and about 40 people came during our stay and monopolized the bathrooms and showers. The staff was great and place was clean.

Hi! This wasn't a homemade trailer. It was a bus from Germany & it's how they camp. Their sleeping quarters are all in the one bus, 35 pods in the bus. They're welcome at our park, just as everyone else is. They have been frequenting this park for 30 years & have never caused any problems. Thanks

Wonderful staff. Nice looking park, grounds are well kept. I liked having the shuttle but it was full so we only got to use it one way on one day. This is my second stay and although I think the park is great, both times, we could not sit out on our patio because the neighbors dog did not stop barking. Patents were away for the full day. I think a rule should be do not leave your barking dog.

Hi! Our shuttle does stay full, even though we run 4 a day. We do call guests to come back & take care of their dogs, if we are notified that there's an issue with non-stop barking. Sorry, we didn't know. We appreciate your patronage & hope to see you again in the future!

Three sites away, the campground management allowed a bus load of “campers” to pile into a single campsite (20+ people). Bus sit idling in to middle of the campground for over 30 minutes with noxious exhaust. I had to ask driver to turn engine off or would have run longer. Bad experience. Did appreciate water being pumped out after 6+ inches of rain.

Mike, Deborah and Casey were great! Very friendly and welcoming. The one issue we had was with the shuttle to the French Quarter was overbooked but they made it right by getting us an Uber to get to the French Quarter and a taxi to come back to the campground whenever we wanted to! Worked out very well. Had a great time. Great teamwork by your staff thank you.

Dave was friendly and very helpful. Shuttle service is nice. The slope to get in our spot was very steep. The back of our scooter rack hit the ground when we tried to get out

The location is great to visit the city and the shuttle service to take you into town and pick you up is a major plus since traffic and parking are a challenge. The staff was great in assisting me in staying an extra night because of the storm that was coming. Laundry room has plenty of washer and dryers available at a reasonable price compared to other locations.

Very enjoyable, the staff were always helpful and friendly. The Location is great to get to the sites of New Orleans quickly but far enough away to get away from the city noises.

We were lucky to get a site because it was last minute and busy. What we didn't know was that we were close to trains, and that we would be woken multiple times per night due to long loud train whistles. Also, the sites are very close and multiple people had fires lit in fire rings. We were in a travel van, and unable to sleep withthe window open due to the heavy smoke from the neighboring fires.

Hi! Wish we were scored on how accommodating we were! In our busy season, no rez is next to impossible for us, as we're always full. We're in a city & make it clear that we're a city park, with city noises, that are out of our control. Likewise, campfires at a campground are out of our control.

Everything was great, issue with Wi-Fi being super slow. Thanks to “Carl” aka Chad for taking us to our site and helping park the camper and got grease for our hitch, super guy! Front desk folks so friendly and helpful too!

For a KOA , it did not impress me. The grounds were not kept up. It didn't feel very homey. Although the people were very nice, i just didn't get that KOA feel, I paid eextra for a patio space and after parking there was no room for furniture. and there's a train that goes by several times a night that lays on the horn the whole way passes the campgrounds could not sleep

Hi! We JUST did a major office remodel, all new site furniture, are currently replacing our fence all the way around our park & all new electric pedestals. We're a city park with city restrictions so yes, we are different than other KOAs & yes, have city noises. Our patio sites have furniture.

This KOA is close to everything including the train and airport. It’s a smaller KOA, like a journey, but great place if you want to see the area. It’s not a good place if you are needing to work. Trees blocked the satellite and they are not accommodating since they provide internet, which is not reliable for work. Most of the staff is very friendly. Bathrooms are clean.

Hi! A few reasons we can't be a Journey, like not having pull-thrus. We meet all the requirements for a Holiday. Most people request that nicer, shadier site. We try our hardest to accommodate satellites, if we are told. The city has been having issues with lines, which is out of our control. Thanks

Smaller than most KOAs but it packs a lot into it. Well stocked store, nice laundry facilities and shower rooms. I had reservations about it being a "back in only" site because I'm new at that but the gentleman who assisted me (sorry, can't recall his name) was excellent. Great little campground. You can hear planes from airport so if peace is your thing. 20 minutes from DT New Orleans

The slope on the concrete pad on site 84 about took our undercarriage. We are in a Class b. I was afraid to take the van out during our 4 day stay due to this. It was convenient having a $15 RT shuttle into town. David was awesome. Having a pet walker available was also a plus.

Very nice. Entire staff were outstanding. Close to French Quarter with shuttle service 2x a day. Planning a return trip next year.

Campground was great, but a little too far from downtown New Orleans. We didn’t use the shuttle because the times were not convenient for us, but it was pretty convenient for an Uber or Lyft ride into town and back. Campground hosts were super helpful and friendly. Site itself was great.

The campground was clean and quiet. Everyone that we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the daily shuttle and found lots to do!

When we got there we were greeted by the office staff. Found out it is a family run business. They get along very well. They were very welcoming. They gave us information on New Orleans. They have a shuttle to take you down to New Orleans and bring you back the best. Skater escorted us to our site and assisted backing in and then we settled down. After that we went into New Orleans When you came

If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax away from the French Quarter, this is NOT the place. Located in a questionable area of town, with noise from the nearby airport and railroad tracks. I’m surprised it has a KOA rating.

We reserved our site last minute. Koa was very accommodating. Robert was there to greet us when we arrived and took us to our site. The bathrooms were super clean. The showers had hot water. This was a great place to stay.

This is our second stay here. Normally not a fan of KOA's, but found a lot of good ones lately. KOA New Orleans takes the prize for the best. The people/staff are great. The guys who direct you into your site are amazing. Everyone is very helpful. They have a dailey (4 times) shuttle into the city. Would stay here agaon.

It was very clean and inviting place, Way too many dogs are from my taste. I still can't get over the fact of being 3 feet from each other. But it wasn't a good location for us. Depending on who was attending the counter. Depends on how good a service and how good the smile you got

Bicyclist-friendly campground featuring private tent spots, clean restrooms & showers, a pool, recreation room (with foosball and a wii console!), and friendly staff. Restaurants & downtown River Ridge are within walking distance, and they offer a paid shuttle into New Orleans.

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. They ran a shuttle in and out of the French Quarter for a small fee. The facilities are good and, should you need a part for an RV, they won't gouge you. They really run the park like a hotel in regards to concierge service.
