Friendly staff, we'll maintained and quiet park. Greatly appreciated the option of the shuttle van taking us to the French Quarter for the day! Nice laundry facility. We would stay again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! Thank you for the kind words! For future reference, our franchisor views anything below a 9 or 10 as a negative & it drops our score. We hope to see you again & be given the opportunity to bring that score up! Thank you for your patronage! We appreciate it!

We just needed one night near the airport and this KOA was perfect! We were able to take a ride share to the city for 7 hours of sightseeing and another at 4 am to the airport. The office was very helpful and could answer all our questions. Our site was lovely with a great shade tree and made us wish we were staying longer. Hoping to be back soon!

Great stay. Very clean park. My daughter and her husband stayed in one of the cabins. Worked out really well. Very nice cabin. Will stay there again.

Spot was good and easy to navigate. Facilities were good (dog park was a little small but laundry was terrific!) and we absolutely loved the daily shuttle to the French Quarter. I had difficulty with the train that ran regularly all night (with the drivers using that f*#king whistle that aggravates my tinnitus). Some sort of warning would have been nice. Also a little far from anything.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi. Wish the score would've been better for all the good things mentioned. Warnings about city (urban) camping...in our reviews & website & driving over railroad tracks right before coming into our park. Want to be close to Quarter (major city), there's city noise. Closest KOA to Quarter. Thanks

We had a wonderful stay at New Orleans KOA. Michael, Deborah and Doreen were fantastic hosts. The campground and facilities were very clean and we felt very safe. The shuttle ride to the city with Michael was amazing….we learned so much about the area and the history. Michael convinced us to try crawfish , and we are glad we did . Highly recommend this KOA when visiting New Orleans.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! We are SO glad you tried the Boil Bus!!! We told ya it was good, haha! Thank you so much for staying with us...it was a joy! We hope to see you again in the future! ~Deborah

We loved this KOA!! The staff were all friendly and so helpful! They were great with recommendations and directions! Great laundry facilities, very clean and not too far from everything we wanted to see and do. We'll be back!!

Great metro-area campsite—easy access, excellent grass, friendly staff, and level sites made setup simple. Facilities were top-notch. Suggest expanding the dog park or improving the grass there. Also, maybe lock the gift shop when my wife walks in—you’ve got too much good stuff!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! We have plans of expanding our dog park & putting turf down, as funds allow. Our current park was a quick build after a hurricane took ours out! No can do on the gift shop...it will be better each time you come haha! Thanks for your patronage! We hope to see you again!

Everyone was fantastic. Dave, the do everything and shuttle driver was great!!

We felt so welcomed here! They were super helpful and nice. Our campsite was clean and comfortable. The showers could use some tlc. We experienced some dog owners who need to work on keeping their manners so maybe enforce dog rules a bit better.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! In the process of our annual shutting down showers, 1 at a time, to re-caulk & repaint. It can be difficult being open 365 days a yr. Bathhouse on the list for remodel, as funds allow. Not sure what dog rules (leash, poop, quiet hrs) but would've stepped in if notified.

Fantastic 5-night stay! Super clean campground and spotless laundry. Staff helped us back into our site and gave great tips for tours and parking in the French Quarter. The shuttle driver was informative and entertaining! Loved the well-stocked camp store. Can’t wait to return—and next time we’re bringing our dog!

Nice little city campground. Very well maintained grounds, staff is excellent. Spaces are very small but what you would expect in the city. Location is still ~30 min or so from main NO attractions but some great restaurants close by the campground as well.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! We are only 12 miles from the French Quarter, but being in a big city, it's city traffic, thus taking longer to get there. For future reference, our franchisor counts anything below a 9 or 10 as a negative. Thanks for your patronage! Hope to see you again in the future!

Great information from the shuttle driver.
Mar 19, 2026
This is a very nice park. The concrete pads are super nice. The spaces are very large. We are 44' so appreciated easy in and easy out.
Mar 19, 2026
Beautiful little campground. Decent size sites. Friendly staff. Only 30 minutes from downtown
Mar 19, 2026
This campground was clean, and we felt safe. It was nice that we were able to have our propane tank filled.
Mar 18, 2026
Extremely uptight about the location of the RV on the pad. I was told my wheels had to be one foot off the edge of the pad. I noted I would rather be a few feet off the edge, so I could walk around the RV on pavement once the slides were out. I was loudly told no, that my wheels must be one foot off the side! Twisted knee in a hole in the grass while packing. Black mold in the showers.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi. We would've loved to have been given a chance to rectify this before it became a review. We have new staff that still have things to learn. However, being rude to you in ANY way, is not ok or how we do things AT ALL & has been dealt with! We walked around that whole area & found no hole. Thanks
Mar 17, 2026
Enjoyed the site as well as the staff… it was a great experience.
Mar 16, 2026
Safe place to stay when near New Orleans, park has security at night at the front entrance. Staff is friendly, and park is well maintained. This is our go to park when staying near New Orleans.
Mar 16, 2026
The owners were exceptionally helpful and the camp was clean and provided amenities. The shuttle service into New Orleans was especially helpful.
Mar 16, 2026
Great location, clean, safe and staff is very helpful. The extras available like the shuttle and dog walking are a nice bonus!
Mar 15, 2026
Secure, comfortable and quiet. (Except the jets from the airport)

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! Thanks for not holding the city noises against us as a city park! We appreciate your patronage very much & hope to see you again in the future!
Mar 15, 2026
Positives: Clean, well kept, good store, nice laundry room, friendly & helpful staff. Negatives: No pull through sites - all back-in, train & airport flight noise (no fault of the park). Depending on traffic, 20-35 minutes to the French Quarter (FYI, French Quarter parking is not inexpensive). Would recommend for a visit to New Orleans.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi! Thanks for not holding the city noises against us! As a smaller city park, no, we don't have pull throughs...we can't make that work in our park. We also don't have many people pulling in off the highway for a night needing those. Thanks for your patronage! We hope to see you again!

Super friendly staff at this location. Doreen is very helpful with great restaurant recommendations, parking locations, and venue suggestions. We plan to be back at this location in the future. Although this location is back-in only, the lot man put our tow-dolly on his atv hitch, pulled the dolly to the rear of the space and re-hitched the unit for us. We travel in a motor home.
Mar 14, 2026
Everyone was friendly and helpful especially Doreen, Mike, and Sean! Thank you!
Mar 14, 2026
Very friendly staff, and clean sites & facilities. RV sites are narrow so not a lot of room between. We had a larger site with chairs and fire pit. Somewhat inconvenient to down town, takes about 30 min and lots of traffic. If you like crawfish, the Boil Bus is 5 min away & the place to go and pick up…really good!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi there! Yes, as a city park, we are smaller...but we are mighty! Again, we are a city park, IN the city...there will be city traffic. That will be true of ANY park you stay at anywhere close to the French Quarter. We have no control over that. The Boil Bus also delivers to our park! Thank you
Mar 13, 2026
We enjoyed it immensely. The staff was very nice and helpful. Bill helped me trying to fix my hitch socket that got torn off in a bumper-to-bumper accident. The location is cool. A nice way to sneak into town via the 48 and St. Charles street rather than go on the highway.
Mar 13, 2026
Campground staff was very helpful for our stay in NOLA. Our site was very clean. We took advantage of the shuttle into the French Quarter and this was helpful and convenient . We struggled a little bit with the noise and people at least 8-10 different people walking across our campsite along with kids running through our campsite while we were present at the site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi! We wish we would've been told about the people & kids running through your site...we would've done something about it. We also wish that wouldn't have been held against us & our park & the services we provided. For future reference, our franchisor counts anything below a 9 or 10 as a neg. Thanks

Office staff was very nice. Great laundryroom. Quiet. Sites close together. Someone smoking and we could smell in our trailer, not good. Bathrooms and showers clean but very dated. Could use a refresh. Spotty area of town.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi. The city limits where RV parks can go & won't allow them in certain areas. Parks IN the city will be smaller, as it is CITY camping. We have no control over someone smoking, has nothing to do with us & the service we provide. Bathrooms on our list to remodel as funds allow. Thanks

The New Orleans KOA Holiday is a bit of a gem in the rough. It's not a fancy RV resort, but has a variety of camping options. The best thing about this KOA is the service, friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and secure. They provide shuttle service options into town and have a well-stocked store. It's our go-to stop in the area.

We (3 large Class A motor homes) visited New Orleans, LA in May 2026. We stayed 2 days. The sites were level, we were placed next to each other and the staff were fantastic. We took the KOA shuttle to downtown in the morning and were picked up in the afternoon. Our driver, Dave offered historic background info on the city on the drive down and back. He drove by many of the old scenic homes in town. He helped two of our disabled seniors in/out of the van during every journey. He is amazing. Deborah (office) was so nice and helpful. They have a pool, daily trash pickup, a well manicured property and overnight security. We felt safe and cared for during our visit. We highly recommend this campground.
