"About Last Night at the Rue Bayou Last Night at the Rue Bayou is a bold new immersive musical experience opening in New Orleans that blends live music, theater, food and community into one unforgettable night. Set inside a magical juke joint at the crossroads between the living world and the spirits of the bayou, the Southern Gothic story follows Miss Ilean Durand as she fights to save her beloved music hall from a corrupt parish commissioner before midnight. Featuring an original score inspired by jazz, R&B, Cajun, zydeco, blues, second line rhythms and bounce, the production invites audiences to sit at shared tables, enjoy drinks and a taste of gumbo and experience the story unfolding all around them. Performed by an all-local cast at Storyville Music Hall in the French Quarter, Last Night at the Rue Bayou captures the music, spirit and storytelling traditions that make New Orleans unique. When is Last Night at the Rue Bayou? Last Night at the Rue Bayou has 12 shows. Doors open one hour before the performance.
