All Hallows October 23 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 PM
Witches, ghosts, and other creatures are taking over Tryon Palace!
Bring the kids dressed in their favorite costume and get into the Halloween spirit! While wandering the haunted grounds, you'll encounter friendly witches and ghosts. You may even encounter the Headless Horseman in search of Ichabod Crane!
Event is 10am – 2pm. Last tickets will be sold at 1:30pm. Designed for ages 12 and under, the brave children who attend “All Hallows' Eve” will be treated. All passes for All Hallows' Eve include admission to the Tryon Palace gardens. Tickets can be purchased at the North Carolina History Center, located at 529 S. Front Street. You can also call 252-639-3524 to purchase tickets. There are no refunds or exchanges on event tickets.

All outdoors - at Cedar Grove Cemetery, along Hancock Street, and at the Attmore-Oliver House
One ticket good for all three nights
All ghost sites open all three nights - 6-9:30 pm
All new historical characters and scripts
Special attractions - TapSnap interactive photo booth, VeriGood Bakery, and a "thrilling" dance performance
Local churches provide meals for purchase

Community Christmas Tree Lighting November 26th 5:50 - 6:30
The 30ft artificial tree is sponsored by the generosity of the greater New Bern Community and will be located at Union Point Park.

Live Window Displays December 3, 6:00pm-8:00pm
Downtown shops participate in this annual event to have their self-made live window displays for visitors and residents to stroll through the historic district and view. There will be a judging and trophy awarded to the winner! Folks Foundation took home in trophy in 2020, who you think will win this year?!
Tryon Palace Candlelight 2021 December 11 & 18
Candlelight is a site wide event for Tryon Palace that includes tours of the Governor's Palace, Stanly House, Dixon House, and numerous activities on the grounds. Gates open to all ticket holders at 4:30 p.m., and ticket times indicate Palace tour times only. Spend the rest of your evening exploring the historic homes, participating in various activities, and being entertained in the Performance Tent. Food will be available to purchase from food trucks located outside the Palace gates. You can also stop by the King's Arms Tavern for adult libations, and Mistletoe Corner to enjoy drinks and delicious snacks in a festive holiday setting. Don't forget to end your enchanted evening with a show of black powder fireworks!
Candlelight is a rain or shine event, but fireworks may be cancelled during extreme weather conditions. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. To ensure a more historically accurate experience and fully immerse you in the joy, mystery, and magic of Candlelight, we request no photography or videography within the historic buildings. Tripods, lights, and drones are not allowed on Tryon Palace grounds at any time.
