A great park! A lot of activities for kids. Well maintained and clean. A family I know stayed at a different park in Muskegon and complained that it was dirty and had fireworks going off at all hours. This camp was quiet at night and no fireworks at any time.

We enjoyed our stay at this KOA. Our campsite was a lakeside site and it was lovely. Staff are great. The one area that brought my rating down to a 4 was the road noise from the highway. Probably not much can be done about it, but it was a bit annoying while relaxing at our campsite by the lake.

We were in town for a family reunion, We had several family members at the campground. The new owners had the campground in terrific shape. New gravel on the roads and campsites. New fire rings, well built for safety. Store was immaculate. We used the laundry facilities while we were there. Very clean and well maintained.. VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING STAFF. Lots of things for kids.

Should not have a KOA sign at this point. Very poor sites no grass and where ther is you can't take your dog. The dog play area had toys in it and you never do that because that is how your dog can get sick by play with toys that other dogs have played with. If they could pay attention to detail like pick the trash and clean the dog park which is to small they may do ok .

Had a great time, even though it was a bit hot for us. Record highs this weekend. But the campground looks great, staff was super helpful and attentive. The trash pickup at our site every morning was very convenient. Very dog friendly camp, we greatly appreciate that.

We loved the location, it was great to camp right on the beach and let the kids swim while we relaxed. The walking trial was nice and my kids enjoyed the playground. When we went to buy firewood they were quick to offer to deliver it right to our fire-pit. We did have a small issue with the electrical port at our site but they responded quickly and fixed it same day. We will be back.

It was okay. But the park is dated, and needs some infrastructure improvements and upgrades. The staff were absolutely great though, friendly and warm. We're going to try this park in another year or two to see if the new management pulls it together.

Nice location. Sites were small. The group site for 10 people was very tight. Bathrooms were very dirty compared to other state parks to other KOA. KOA team should clean the bathrooms regularly. Add more kids activity. KOA south haven has more activity than Muskegon.

We had an enjoyable stay. There was a nice trail around the lake. Also a dog run for off leash exercise. There were paddle boats, kayaks, etc. available for rental but would have been nice if available in the evening also. I thought the sites were a bit small and the water was terrible tasting you definitely need a filter. People were helpful and very nice.

Only one trail, would be great to have a couple options. I know new owners took over in April. Looking forward to what they do with the place. We have been to other KOAs that offer more activities throughout the day. The dog being on a leash role was not followed by many.

Everything was exceptional except that I question the quality of the water. We made ice and it had a tan/brown tint to it. Also, I noticed where the hose connected to the hose bib that brown ran down my water filter and hose. I was not alone in noticing this as our neighbors mentioned the same observations.

Great campground. Loved so much about our stay. Especially loved the kids activities and the fishing. Camp store was stocked and had good variety. The only area I suggest for improvement is the bathrooms. The shower stalls were almost too small to be functional, no shelves to put anything on in the changing area and very cramped to dry and dress in.

Recently acquired by new owners who are clearly investing in improvements. The staff is courteous and friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. The lake is picturesque, and the grounds are clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the true KOA experience!

This was our first time staying at the Muskegon KOA and we were very impressed. We loved everything about it.

Expensive for the quality of facilities. Bathroom on the north side of the property is disgusting with mold on the ceilings and all corners. Sinks are falling through the counter top and urinals wouldn’t flush. We stayed on a holiday weekend and most sites had shin high weeds growing. However, staff were very friendly and were not hard to find if someone needed assistance.

The camp itself was beautiful especially the sites on the lake. We had a wonderful stay and staff was great, the only reason I did a 4 was because compared of a few other KOAs there was a lack of kid planned activities, and no train rides, sometimes my family picks KOAs for that amenity but other than that we loved the location, the grounds, and how close it was to Michigan adventure and MI lakes.

We have stayed at this campground many times, and it is one of our absolute favorites! We are very frequent KOA campers and often opt to stay at a KOA as much as we can. The fishing and views of the lake from the RV sites are absolutely beautiful, and it is my favorite to walk out to in the morning. Staff are VERY friendly and make sure your stay is the best! The campground is dog friendly as well as family friendly. I took note that the new owners are planning several fun events for this season, and we hope to be able to come back and attend some at future stays! All in all one of our favorites, we can't wait to stay again soon!

We had a fun memorial day weekend all the other campers and staff were super friendly. Bathrooms and shower area was very clean there were alot of weekend activities to participate in such as crafts and the community potluck the store there was stocked with everything you would need and it was budget friendly it was our first time camping here and we can't wait to come back next year.
