They’ve worked hard making improvements to the disaster the last owners let the campground fall into. Staff was friendly and helpful, store was reasonably priced, park was clean. We loved our lakefront campsite!

Our stay was not the normal stay. We were in the area to be with family who were staying elsewhere so we didn't spend many daytime hours in the camp. The site was clean and so were the bathrooms, which were our main concern this time!

The campgrounds was beautiful and well taken care of. The staff were friendly. The bathrooms, however, were awful. The women's bathroom showers had shower mats. The bathroom was clean, but the shower mats had not been cleaned under for some time and there was a ton of hair and filth under them. The men's restrooms, both the main and the others, had clogged toilets that were FULL of feces.

Brought grandkids for a camping weekend and visit to Michigan Adventure. Used to bring our kids when they were younger. Like fishing/swimming lake, trail around it, playground. It really gives a little taste of the whole camping experience. Interactions with other campers has always been positive. Just seems to be a place that good people go.

We had a wonderful time, the staff is fantastic, the campgrounds is clean and peaceful. The lake is wonderful and we had a blast fishing. We caught some ginormous bass Definitely would recommend this KOA We’ve been coming here for 15 years and it gets better every year

Sites we're too small, too close to the neighbors & no foliage in between campsites for privacy. Highway traffic too loud & disturbed your sleep. Late check-ins & communication via email regarding request for campsite directions were never answered & no office attendant available upon arrival. Bathrooms were dated with some mold on the ceiling tiles & needs cleaning & updating. Will not return.

We loved our stay! The lake is beautiful and the campground is clean and quiet! Our kids had a great time and the large sandbar is perfect for littles! There is the perfect amount of activities but still kept it camping! Everyone was kind and happy to help! We will definitely be back!

Park was clean and staff was great about taking down some tree and bush boughs so we could park comfortably. Lake swimming was clean and safe, our 3 yr old felt safe and LOVED the swimming! Fireworks on the 4th were lovely! Office staff were great and we enjoyed ourselves so we extended our stay by 3 days!

Please consider adding more full hookup sites and clearly stating on your website that the dump station use incurs an extra fee, as it’s not included in the camping cost. It was frustrating not being able to book a full hookup site near our friends and then being unexpectedly charged for the dump station. The charge would be more understandable if we hadn’t already paid to camp.

We would have given 5 stars and would highly recommend it, if it wasn't for the dirty showers and bathrooms. It was our first time and was really looking forward to camping at this location. Hopefully they can make the bathrooms cleaner so we could try going back.

The stay was great and lake front lot was awesome view. Only thing was we found one building with 4 toilets and 2 shower stalls each for women and the same for men. The bathrooms could have been maintained better and cleaned by the next morning. Other than that great place to camp, swim and kids games; close to Michigan Adventures.

The campgrounds are beautiful. I cannot recommend it to family and friends though. Heavy marijuana use throughout the park. Young children all over the place without adult supervision, including swimming in the lake, without lifejackets. Cabins rented to teenagers, who proceeded to party until 3am, until a camper had to tell them to go to bed. Men's bathroom filthy at end of day.

Me and my family have been camping at the KOA Muskegon for many years. The new owners have done a wonderful job with all the many upgrades they have done. We will be going back for many more years.

We have power issues and the park didn’t really seem to care about it claimed that the issue was from the old owners but they never fixed the issue. Told us we would revive an 20% discount and never did. There answer for the fix was they tried to tell us not to run out ac units when it was over 90 degrees out. Won’t stay there again

There was no power for hours. They didn't realize they couldn't have all trailers along the lake and we were told to take shifts for AC. Then staff guided an incoming trailer to back into the front of my car. The staff member admitted the fault. He told the driver that the owner of the campground would take care of it. Later they blew me off and blamed the driver. I have yet to be compensated.

Last minute find for a last minute stay and it did not disappoint! The team put on a fireworks show for us on the 4th of July! How cool is that!? The private lake was great to swim in and super refreshing. Beach was clean. Loved the food vendors! Make the trip to downtown for sure! Such a fun area!

The setting is very beautiful with the small lake. However, the brown water was disconcerting and we didn’t want in our tank nor running through our filters. The explanation of the minerals in it along with the smell of it was bothersome.

The staff at reservations are great and willing to work with campers to give us a safe and good time camping!! The grounds are well maintained. Issue with an extended tree limb was dealt with quickly. Our grandkids love the campground and all its amenities and had an awesome time here!

Absolutely wonderful stay here. Sheila and the rest of the staff are warm and friendly. You can tell everyone pitches in to keep things neat and clean. We’ve been to 100s of sites all over the country, can confidently say this is the cream of the crop, from all aspects of how a campground should be ran, including state parks. We have stayed at this campground many times, and it is one of our absolute favorites! We are very frequent KOA campers and often opt to stay at a KOA as much as we can. The fishing and views of the lake from the RV sites are absolutely beautiful, and it is my favorite to walk out to in the morning. Staff are VERY friendly and make sure your stay is the best! The campground is dog friendly as well as family friendly. I took note that the new owners are planning several fun events for this season, and we hope to be able to come back and attend some at future stays! All in all one of our favorites, we can't wait to stay again soon!

We had a fun memorial day weekend all the other campers and staff were super friendly. Bathrooms and shower area was very clean there were alot of weekend activities to participate in such as crafts and the community potluck the store there was stocked with everything you would need and it was budget friendly it was our first time camping here and we can't wait to come back next year.
