feel bad for the staff, they seemed under-staffed. Perhaps it was the end of the season. the spaces were covered with crushed grante as well as the fines. The granite fines were like talcum power and made a mess and any time someone drived or walked dust was everwhere. Perhaps a better quality of gravel should have been selected.

To noise can hear traffic all night long . The Koa is very clean never meet any of the staff.. the bathrooms very clean.

Nice & helpful staff and convenient place to stay it taking the scenic bypass road (hwy 89) over to Reno. The town of Mt Shasta is a lovely mountain town with many food options, we loved Casa Ramos Mexican Restaurant.

Entrance sign needs to clarify a driveway! Other KOAs were staffed to receive us until 7 pm. Shasta left us to fend for ourselves. Combined with conflicting check-in directions made for a very UN-WELCOME! Reserved a spot BUT WAS CONFUSED by instructions in a big bold sign to select a site. I was near hookup completion when another camper said I had HIS site. Neither of us were happy Campers!

Had a very nice stay. The staff is great and all the facilities were clean. Only bad thing was being awaken at 3am by train.

the only thing I wish I had know about is the premium spots when checking in, we would of taken one of them since there was so much ash at the other camp sites. The ash was the only that would keep us away again it got tracked in everywhere. the park and the people working there were nice and we did not worry about leaving things out side or locking up

The site was dirt very un level, the cost was high for the site. We stayed at multiple locations on are trip down the Oregon coast an Northern California and this was the most expensive one and the one that needed to be cleaned up

Nice level and shady sites, overall a decent campground, shower/washroom facilities a little dated, unfortunately the shower stalls were all filthy and muddy, probably inconsiderate guests. But great staff and a lovely area.

Right from the start Tim was a super star! We had a slide cable that broke and needed help to get that slide in and he was right there with help and suggestions. Could not have asked for a better vibe in a difficult situations. Thanks Tim!

Park was rundown and shabby. Pad was not very level and smelled like sewer while we were setting up. Laundry room only available 8 to 5 - NOT convenient for our schedule.

Best tent pad we've had yet. Beautiful huge trees and view of the Mt. The draw backs were the sound of the train all through the night, over and over again. And the bright lights on the bathhouse all night.

I highly recommend Mount Shasta City KOA. We stayed in a Kozy Cabin which we have done for years. The cabin is charming, the bathrooms are always kept very clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The little store usually has just the thing we want. The Mount Shasta surroundings are beautiful. The only thing we would improve is the underpowered heater.

Everything was great. Friendly front desk helped me upgrade my site as I had booked online incorrectly. Adding a “boat” as equipment when booking online does not mean necessarily mean the site will be long enough for your boat plus truck total length. This should be addressed on the KOA website.

The check-in experience was a bit rude. The park was covered in this powdery dirt they called volcanic ash. I was not so sure. Some parts of this place seem like it would be dangerous at night to walk - just not expected in a KOA. Seemed many sites under construction. On the flip side, the 4 "special sites" with 50 amp service looked nice. Wish I could have landed one of those.

Our stay was a bit wet but still an enjoyable stay. We only gave a lower rating because we could have used better signs getting us to our spots because the trees were very tight to maneuver around especially in the dark.

Place was a muddy mess. It rained lightly and the dirt/gravel over the entire park made for very messy stay. Staff good however so rated it a 2. Please get some pavement on the sites or reduce your rediculous $72 charge per night.

The office closed to early locking up laundry and store. The facility was run down and the grounds were not maintained.

Easy check in, very accommodating for our overnight stay. Grounds were will taken care of, a little dusty in a couple of spots but otherwise great. Campground was quiet after dark made for a very relaxing overnight.

Dusty dusty dusty. No wifi. No TV. Won’t be back. I did tell the office why we wouldn’t be back. Talked to other guests and they felt the same. Very nice staff.
