Following our visit, it was clear why Mt Gilead was selected campground of the year. It’s an easy drive from State College, we’ll book a longer stay soon! Thanks for great facilities, activities, and hospitality! Best ever….

Love this place. The sites are long and not on top of each other. Staff very friendly and helpful!! Tons of things going on. This is why they were.the KOA of the year!!!

Very clean well run campgrounds. We absolutely loved the fact that the amish came in and we had fresh pretzels. And we enjoyed the fact that if we wanted an adult beverage, we could get one including the fact that there was a restaurant there. If I had to say anything, I would say that they need another playground set. Highly recommend, and we will be returning there.

Awesome campground. The only thing I would change is to have the bathhouse/showers air conditioned, but it is camping.

Very nice campground with attention to detail like padding on the lounges by the pool. The camp store is very well stocked with everything you can think of plus a whole lot more. And then there’s the Presidential Suite! I can see why this is KOA Campground for 2025

upon arrival had issue with power at site. Within 5 minutes of reporting issue there was somebody there to fix issue. Every staff member we interacted with through out our stay was very polite and professional. Facility was clean and well maintained. We will be back.

It was our first time staying and we are coming back! We love it! The sites are big and you do not feel like you are right on top of your neighbors. Everything is clean, the bathrooms and shower houses are very nice. The camp store has a lot of options in case you need something, including wine! We really enjoyed everything about Mt. Gilead KOA!!

It was very good very clean the Bar/Restaurant was very good even with it limited menu matter of a fact we had stopped at a place called Boondocks the day before to eat and the camp restaurant was way better as to service staff and over all food

Superb! Friendly, respectful, and accommodating staff. Very nice store, everything was clean in there every time I went in. Everything was well kept up. It was a well deserved award being 2025's KOA of the year.

We have been camping for over 40 years. Your RV camping is top 3 we have ever stayed with. Attention to detail is amazing. Dealing with the staff, manicured grounds, and HUGE sites length and width. So beautiful and set up for even the larger RV's. Plenty of amenities for those interested. We just "enjoyed" so much the campsite , relaxing and taking walks. THANK YOU!

I’ve traveled all across the United States, coast to coast, and stayed at dozens of KOAs and campgrounds along the way, and I can say without hesitation that Mount Gilead KOA is the best of them. My only suggestion is that you guys get more food selection at your restaurant.

Everything from The beginning to end was absolutely amazing.Stayed 4 nights. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful.Bathrooms and showers were VERY clean. On our list to come back soon.

We love the Mt. Gilead KOA. One of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Everything is so clean and well maintained. Our site was amazing! There are daily activities for the kids and family. The camp store is well stocked. The Bonfire Bar offers great food and drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

Even though it rained hard we had another nice stay. When we arrived it was very hot so we just did the minimum to get the trailer set up and AC turned on! We then went to the Bonfire Lounge and had a nice lunch and cold beverages! By the time we got back the trailer was cooled and we could finish setting up! This is something that we couldn’t do at most KOAs. Great place.

Every year we stay here we are promised a level site. We have yet to get one. We were in G3 (I think) and we were not able to get level once again. I doubt we will stay here again but it is a really nice park.

What an awesome weekend. Mt. Gilead KOA is one of the nicest campgrounds we've been to in over 20 years. The grounds are immaculate, the amenities are plentiful, and the Bonefire bar drinks are really good. The sites are large, the pool is massive with tons of seating and there is lots to do for all ages. We will definitely be back. Great staff, great place! 5 Stars across the board for us!

Fun for kiddos, fun for adults. There's a very nice pool and a bar. If you're a golfer there's a driving range to satisfy that. My girls (and one of their boyfriends) asked me to book here again, they're between 19 and 24 in case anyone is curious. And there's plenty of activities for younger children as well. I recommend Mt Gilead KOA big time, 2 visits so far, zero regrets.
