Meet Your Hosts

The Hanawalt Family

Happy campers and creating memorable camping experiences is our goal!

Mt. Gilead KOA is owned and operated by the Hanawalt Family - Chip, Bambi, and their children, Haley & Chip Jr. The park was purchased in 2019 as a golf course and broke ground in May of 2019, turning it into a beautiful KOA. We opened our doors to our first customers in July of 2020 and have continued to improve the grounds each year to make it a place for families to enjoy and relax! We spent 22 years building and creating Sunbury/Columbus KOA, which we sold in December of 2021. We plan to build up and put our "Hanawalt touch" on Mt. Gilead KOA.

We are excited for this new family adventure to help create memories for you and your family. Come See Us Soon!
