The staff was wonderful. You could definitely use more shade. The pool should have been open despite is being right after the hurricane. The pool was cleaned and it just needed a back flush and balance of chemicals. Always disappointed I could not swim. An absentee owner it's not an effective way to run this outfit. The staff however is phenomenal in makeup for the owner's lack of leadership.

Can’t put it all in here. Briefly. We were never warned when we made the reservation that we were going to put in with a bunch of construction vehicle with diesels and back up alarms! Made a mistake and booked for 2 nights. Went to the office in the morning and had an encounter with “Wendy”. She informed me the second night would not be refunded. She was rude and should’ve not been at the

Only stayed one night, but arrived late and staff still escorted me to my site and helped me back in in the dark. Would definitely stay again.

This was a time of great stress as Hurricn Ian approached and passed. We came to Moore Haven for the first time as part of our evacuation plan. Wendy, the park manager, was very organized and helpful and we stayed for 6 nights. It was a chaotic time with power outages and lots of RV's coming and going but Wendy orchestrated through the chaos and did a fine job.

Windy is the hardest worker we have even seen. No power after hurricane, rv's kept showing up. Saw her through the night in heavy rain helping everyone and she was all alone. Amazing, friendly, helpful and understanding the loss we were all going through. Many of us were from fort myers and had last everything. Even without power it was a wonderful stay. Willnever forget Windy or KOA.

Hurricane haven for us to avoid IAN. the Bath house was spotless. The management was overwhelmed but attentive and pleasant. The pool looked great and the clubhouse had lots to do. I would return even without a hurricane chasing me! Great find.

We escaped to this campground when it was expected that Hurricane Ian would make a direct hit on Tampa. This is a very nice campground and everyone is so friendly. They make their own pizza and have free popcorn in their cute little store. We really enjoyed our stay here.

It was busy because of the hurricane but the manager was great and took time with everyone to make them feel welcome and safe. came around every day to say hi and a smile.

Hurricane Ian brought us to Moore Haven & I’d have to say we couldn’t have made a better choice. We had to leave the area we were in because of too many trees and while I typically love shade while camping, Moore Haven Koa was a great open space. The camp host was great during the storm & would have done anything to help anyone. Unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool, it looked very inviti

Great spot

We enjoyed our stay at this park. Have no complaints other than maybe a little better communication when water was bad and under a no drinking order. Location of park is not real close to any major cities so a bit of driving to have access to some services and stores. Park was accommodating during our stay and always willing to help.

The property is immaculate and well manicured the problem was that Wendy was a wonderful person trying to take care of the whole park by herself office was locked most of the time couldn't get in for ice or drinks Wendy could sure use some volunteer help so if you're looking for a place to stay and get your space and whatever free give her a call

Moore Haven KOA is very sparse on amenities, most of the sites are just grass with a concrete pad for a patio. Numerous sites have broken and cracked concrete patio pads. They also don't pickup your trash, you are required to dispose of your own trash and the trash bins are more than a 1/4 mile away from the main camping area, way in the back of the property. The personal aren't friendly.

Super friendly staff that go out of their way to help. This is a very clean, very level campground with brand new outside furniture at every space. Big rig friendly, very easy in and out. Can't recommend more!

Wendy ( Manager) was extremely helpful and courteous during our previous stay.

New manager arrived & the entire tone of the campground drastically changed. We found the new manager to be extremely unfriendly, disrespectful & a liar. She has made it very evident to us that she hates children & men. KOA is supposed to be a family friendly camping brand & we do not feel that she embodies this mission. We found her to be vindictive, holds a grudge & will retaliate against you.

It was a nice little campground ,Wendy was our host and was awesome. It was off season which we wanted very quite and relaxing

Our objection is the price. It’s double the amount of comparable koa’s in the state. On the plus side we really appreciated getting someone to guide us to our campsite after coming in late due to thunderstorm. Campground was clean with level sites.

We only stayed one night but what we saw looked good. Nice furniture at the sites saved us set up and pack up time. Lots of open space.

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The food trucks coming once a week were a nice convenience. The bathrooms need work at the far end of the campground where we stayed, the showers were tiny and hard to use, water would not stay on and couldn’t control the temperature. Laundry facilities were lacking for the size of the campground and half of the machines weren’t working.

Activities were good, the director worked to include everybody. There are road repairs that need to be done, making it difficult to access one of the camping loops. This is also a safety issue. The pool is very nice but the lounge chairs are unusable by anyone over the age of 40!

AFTER WE GOT SET US IT WAS OK. THE EMPLOYEE IS NOT VERY GOOD WITH HER HOSPITALITY SKILLS ON THE PHONE AND IN PERSONS. THE PARK AND FACILITIES ARE VERY CLEAN. yOU NEED TO GET THE EMPLOYEES TO AGREE ON PRICES ALSO. ALL MESSED UP. AND WHY IF YOU HAVE TABLE AND CHAIRS ON THE LOTS, BUT YOU HAVE ALL THE CUSHIONS ON EMPTY LOTS WAY IN BACK, MAKES NO SENSE. WE WON'T BE BACK.

Friendly, courtesy staff. Quiet, remote location with the exception of US Highway 27 rumbling traffic. US Highway 27 is not as heavily used as US 1 or 19 but, the night rumblings was disheartening. The over property could and does need a million dollar make over. Numerous sites were in disrepair and they use a trailer for showers in the tent section. It lacks shade & your 40+ miles anything.

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean grounds and building. Quiet and peaceful!

Very large w/average spacing but so few campers allows a lot of room between campers. Most every site has a concrete pad. Only broadcast TV, without CBS, and no internet. Very friendly staff, anxious to help when they can. Two very nice parks. Any hiking is over near Ft. Myers, about 45-60 minutes driving. Likewise, no restaurants beyond fast food in Moore Haven or Clewiston.

Very nice campground, lots of space and sites were level. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly

Comfortable, quiet, plenty of space, and beautiful setting.

Convenient location as we traveled home! Friendly staff!

The staff was super unpleasant and rude would constantly complain about having 2 vehicles park inside out spot when the camper next to us had 3 vehicles. We asked if it was ok to have a fence up being that we have a puppy and a toddler that enjoy the outside. Then all the sudden we got a notice saying it was are 4th time to be asked to remove it never being asked before and getting harassed.

We really enjoyed staying at the KOA campground. However that being said there were a few things that we did not like. One was at the beginning they picked up the trash everyday. Then they stopped doing it even though the rates will be increasing by over $400.00. Also, they do not allow screened in rooms anymore even though they are staked down. They said they might blow away! That's just nonsence

400 words are not enough for me to write about our stay. If you want to discuss our stay or our rating please call me. I would think you would want to hear what I have to say.

Beautiful place! Great area with plenty of space to spread out. The bathrooms, showers and laundry; so clean! The usual “out of order” prevail as with all campgrounds. Wendy was super accommodating to move us from a short space to a drive thru. Lots of space for our dogs to stretch their legs…. It should be turned into a nice Par 3. We’ll come again!!!

Campground and most of the staff where great. One woman never smiled or spoke to us for the 2 months that we where there. Also the pool furniture was very uncomfortable
Apr 06, 2022
The laundry is small for the size of the campground, only 5 machines and at least 1 was out of order consistently. The owner has the only keys for the coin boxes and doesn't come often to empty so when full machines don't work. Manager didn't seem to care . It was closed down for days. Garbage piled up by dumpsters. Pool was closed for week (hottest week) . RUMOR was owner not paying bills.

The campground is huge and beautiful and surrounded by mixed farms and woods. The employees are hardworking, nice, and fun!!!

washing machines didnt work as was told they had a laundry. had to drive 20 miles one way to do clothes. showers sucked no way to privately undress and take showers. they let the garbage stack up in the back by dumpsters for about a month before doing anything about it. Not much activities provided for us to do. No firepits at our sight or grills. Pool.was shut down constantly. Drinking water i

Lots of things to do if you are snow birds. About 7 minutes from Moore Haven land 45 minutes from Ft Myers and Sebring, FL. Free pancakes on Saturday mornings beginning in January and ending last weekend in March. Close to Lake Okeechobee if you like fishing or boating.

This was a very quiet park, clean and in a great location for our needs. They do have alligators in the pond just don't walk near it. We observed the park host cleaning all furniture and septic connections when rigs left their park which was nice. Office staff was courteous and helpful, small store. Laundry facilities with new machines, they did have problems with people overloading the machines so at times they were out of order but they always had someone come to clear them.

Our stay at Moore Haven KOA was wonderful and we enjoyed the stay. This is a great KOA Campground. The staff are very friendly and were responsive to any concerns we had. They upgraded us at no charge to a larger site so we could park our HDT on the site. There are daily/weekly events for all campers. (i.e. Thursday night community fire pit night, Weekly Corn Hole/Shuffle Board/Boccee Ball Tournaments, Various Food Truck nights, Weekly Pancake Breakfast, Freshly hand made pizza made daily at the office for purchase, and much more. A Pickle Ball Court. Vehicle/Rig wash station. Two 18 hole Golf Courses and two 9 hole Golf Courses within a 30-minute drive Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST) near by. The LOST is a 110-mile bike/hiking trail that encircles lake Okeechobee.
