Great service in the office. Very clean grounds and nice amenities. Easy to navigate a big rig. Site was long enough for truck, camper and SUV. Very convenient to the Corn Palace and other businesses.

One of the nicest KOAs we have stayed in our 45’ motorhome/towing. Friendly and efficient staff, escorted to site. Nice store with local ice cream that’s great. Many trees in the property. I hope we come this way again.

It is a lovely KOA, with friendly $ helpful staff. A big bonus of this KOA is the abundance of large shade trees at almost every site. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

This campground is a jewel. Check in was quick and friendly. The camp is well kept. Great showers and spotless restrooms. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return

The campground was very well marked and very easy to access I90. It was also convenient yo the town of Mitchell which was a great surprise (strongly recommend the Corn Palace!!). Check-in was easy and the staff were very nice. Sites were great. Campground was beautiful and amenities were well taken care of and clean.

We stayed in a patio site and it was very nice. I ran two loads of laundry in a clean room with efficient appliances. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Definitely would recommend and would stay here again!!

VERY friendly service! We had small issue with placement of sewer as our hose would not reach without backing up the RV. However, we would absolutely stay here again! And the Corn Palace is five minutes away!

Staff was great! Friendly and helpful. The grass was not cut and full of mosquitoes and flies. We couldn’t sit outside in the grass. Sites are way too small. Even for a one night stop this was too crowded.

We stayed in the new section which is very nice. There are no trees or very small trees so no shade. However the camp side of the camper faces east so there’s shade from the camper which makes afternoons and evenings enjoyable. The gravel is still soft since they’re new sites. The patio was very nice and the Wi-Fi is great. We’ll be back!

We love Mitchel KOA it was our second stop over on our back & forth through SD. I highly recommend Mitchel KOA! Staff is super friendly & our pull through site was great.

Very well kept campground. Hosts were welcoming and very helpful, and friendly. Clean and efficient laundry facility. Beautiful sight. Close to Hwy, but did not hear road noise. Convenient to all the places we wanted to see. Would stay here again. Than you!

Extremely friendly and well maintained/clean campground. Extremely hot when we visited so disappointed no air conditioning in bathrooms & no pool. Local pizzas were very overpriced but really appreciated the friendly staff & campground.

Best koa bathrooms I've ever seen. Campground is well run with a dedicated staff. This place is so much better than other local options as we had tried another campground prior to coming here. The other place was like a hick block party with drunk individuals setting off fire works. We loved our time at Mitchell koa and would recommend them to anyone as they have great shaded spots for tents and have good roads for RVs.

Update June 2026: it is still an excellent stop. Easy access, check-in and helpful and friendly staff. Also, under new management, who are spritzing up the grounds and facilities. The restroom was meticulous. Plenty of shade for those hot South Dakota summer days. Be sure to check out the Corn Palace.
