Changed our tent res to KK bc were still away. We arrd after midnight and WHAT a surprise! The rest was appointed so thoughtfully, and mgmt left a lovely card wishing me Happy Mother's Day, a handcrafted magnet, a little KOA water bottle and a HERSHEY bar!! Park was immaculate, and we WILL stay again! RELecommended on fb, and in particular, to a friend on x-country motorcycle trip! Loved this KOA!

This is one of the best KOA my family stayed in. Very therapeutic and calming. Mr. Mark and Ms. Steffany, the owners, were really kind amd friendly and assisted is even when we got there late. Very friendly and helpful from the start. Worked out scheduling in-persin over the phone because the internet system was down at the time. Grounds and guesthouse were immaculate and the bathrooms are short of a work of art. You'll know when you see them. Hope to return one day.

I have stayed in a lot of KOA's this summer. This one is amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer. The operators were friendly and informative. The grounds were impeccable and the restrooms were beautiful and clean. Thanks for doing a great job. I will be back in the spring.

Exceptional KOA host. They greeted us after hours to help us find our cabin and parking. They went above and beyond what we would expect considering it was after scheduled hours. The park is well kept, the bathrooms have been updated, and a wonderful K9 park with an extra Exercise area. Kudos to the Mitchell team!!

Bathroom to far away,the floor in cabin is falling downward in corner and your lights are super bright for night ,the one on street is blinking so star watching was not enjoyable

Oh where to start? There is SO much positive to say!! This is our THIRD year at our FAVORITE KOA! Mark and Steffany are the hostesses with the mostessess! This year, I will admit, we did a little more exploring in the Kampground! The little walking trail out back is nice - our dog Goose - loved it! The patio where the pool used to be is a nice addition! They have Jenna and Connect 4.Will return!

Continuation of my other review. So, we stay two days heading west and one day heading back east. Always hope to get the same cabin each year lol. Mark and Steffany are GREAT and I will say they are excited to see return customers! If you are headed west (or back east), make sure you stop! With that being said, see your next year - same bat time, same bat channel! :)

We have stayed in several KOA’s while traveling from Mississippi to Montana, and have found charm in them all, but Mitchell KOA lacks nothing. Beautiful campground and has the cleanest, and prettiest bathrooms. Friendly owners and shopping and restaurants close by if needed. I have to say Mitchell is our favorite and we always make it part of our plans for an overnight stay. Thank you Mitchell!!

Even before my arrival Stephanie called me to explain the checkin process. When I arrived she made me feel like I arrived at a friendly relatives house. When I was finally ready to use the public shower and bathroom I was amazed at the great condition and even more so of the cleanliness. In the morning Stephanie was cleaning them again. Her and Mark really made the stay fantastic!

Was a pleasure to deal withy he folks at Mitchell, the helped with soecial parking for the vehicle we were traveling with. Restrooms and campground were spotless. I would recommend staying there just reserve as far back as you can. The main road does get busy early in the morning. Mark( one of the owners) even came to meet us early in the morning to wish us safe travels.

Campground and bathroom was very clean and well taken care of. I've been stopping at this KOA for years and it is top notch. The host are extremely friendly and helpful.

Very friendly proprietor/staff. Excellent cabin option including one queen bed, ceiling fan and good air conditioner, and mini fridge. Very nice park with large mature trees. If we go through by this route in the future, I will make a point to stay here again.

Owners and desk people were very receptive and welcoming. The camp facilities, especially the bathrooms, were super-clean, dry, well ventilated and operational. Men's shower was awesome....love the ceiling shower-head. The cabin that we rented for 1 night was just what we needed.

This is my second stay and my second 5 star review. You won't find a cleaner, better managed KOA, at least not one we've experienced. We stayed in a dog friendly cabin, did our laundry this time and bought some supplies at the store. All spotless. We actually altered our trip by a few hours to stop here. Great great staff. It's worth it.

Camp hosts were exceptionally accommodating and very helpful when it came to parking our U-Haul. Excellent communication, very friendly, clean and updated. A dream stay!

This is a wonderful KOA!! The campground is well-organized with plenty of space between sites. The bathrooms are spotless. The owners also decorated the women's bathroom with beautiful sinks! There is ablargenplayground and a small mini-golf course. The laundry room is large and clean. The best part of this KOA is the friendliness of the staff. Kind, welcoming, helpful. !

The campground was perfect. It was so clean and freshly updated. For sure the cleanest campground I've been too. The staff was amazingly friendly as well! They offered games and had great bathrooms and showers. You will be happy with your stay!

This is by far one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. Very clean bathrooms and a very friendly staff. Our cabin we stayed in was perfect also. Very comfortable bed.

Super friendly staff, great amenities in the store (and pizza delivery!), and bathrooms and sites are sparkling clean. Good proximity to I-90, perfect stop on the way to and/or from the Black Hills and Badlands!

We stayed in some cabins on a road trip and really love this place! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The cabins were nice and the camp store was so well set up that it was hard to not buy everything! I love the little touches that made us feel at home. They even warned us about biting bugs from some recent rain, which I appreciate since we don't want bit. We love this place!

We liked our stay at this campground. The upgrade to the cabin with a queen sized bed was a nice gesture on your part! Thank you. We had a peasant overnight and the AC worked very well! We liked having a water source at our cabin as well. The WIFI worked great, just like home. We greatly appreciate getting a phone call asking us if we are still planning on staying the night!!!

Place is clean play ground nice staff is a little too serious. Parking was not great for checking in and I didn’t notice signs, just the staff rushing you to park this way or that way? Confusing, and when checking out the guy was rude and made my very tired spouse very upset!! I won’t recommend this location and they charged more than all other KOA’s we stayed at. Also charged a dog fee 10$

This place is beautiful. The manager that checked me in late on Sunday was gracious and charming. I was glad that I picked this place. She led me in and hand signaled the perfect parking nestled in a group of trees. She was the most charming hostess you could ever meet. I got a pic of her after asking permission The bathroom and shower are very clean and well maintained. There is a gas grill out back for patrons use. They also have basic meats from a local butcher if you wish to purchase. The is putt putt golf and a kids playground all in very nice shape. I will definitely come back to this campground

Spent the night on the way to the Black Hills.Because of bad weather and high winds we had to stay an extra day. Staff was very accommodating and happy to help us out. We love the Black Hills and come out from Wisconsin often. We have always stayed here and we always will. Highly recommend if looking for a place in Mitchell to camp.

Stayed here during a "soft" opening so I was the only resident among the company of some great camp hosts. I was treated extremely well, and the hosts made sure I was comfortable and my hookups were in the right place. The laundry room was immaculate, and the park was very well maintained. Would highly recommend and will return here if ever in the area again.
