The Waterworks Hill trail and Kim Williams Nature Trail are a great way to see wild flowers and animals and don't forget to climb the “M” at the University of Montana to get a bird's eye view of the Missoula valley!
Currents Aquatics Center a year-round indoor water playground has four pools with engaging water features for every age. Splash Montana Water park an outdoor water park is a family fun destination. Splash Montana Water park features an outdoor water park, café, and 50-meter lap pool. Open June through August. Missoula has great parks throughout the area some with Splash Decks and Spray pools for the best summer fun.
Missoula is surrounded by many recreational areas, Pattee Canyon, Blue Mountain, and Rattlesnake Recreation Area, to name a few.
Throughout the city there is an extensive, beautiful, and well-maintained network of riverfront trails for walkers, joggers, and bicyclists.
