The good: area was close enough to freeway access to metro area Had a dog park and mini golf . Bad: they need to spend some money bringing in gravel for both roads and sites. What a muddy mess Some sites were spacious but others,like ours, were extremely close. We arrived 45 minutes before the check-in at 2pm. We were charged extra for early check in and most sites were empty including ours

When mowing lawn, the mower needs some kind of guard on the discharge. Our camper had two rock strikes. No damage that we could see.

Okay for now. However, the water had a very strong smell of sulfur! At our next campground, I had to drain our water tank, flush it, and refill with fresh water.

Minneapolis Northwest KOA is the best campground. The location is great for replenishment, relaxation, and recreation. The owners are wonderful people and have made this camping spot a garden gem near the edge or shadow of an expanding city. I love staying at Minneapolis Northwest KOA. My heart would be broken if the city keeps expanding and overtakes this wonderful campground! Steve

I stayed for 5 nights at this KOA. Most KOA’s I have stayed at were for shorter periods of time and they were minimal for amenities, trees, and assistance. This KOA felt more like the family owned campgrounds I visited as a child. I have already recommended this campground to friends and family.

Had a very late night check in, they gave instructions on finding our site, very helpful. There is a nice little store, pool, mini golf area, kids balls to borrow, a decent playground and a clean bathhouse. The downfall is that their land does not drain well and is wet and muddy in the back tent area, away from the road and a long the drive throughout the campground, the mosquitos were terrible.

Nice place, would recommend help with mosquitoes in the bathhouse and would be nice to have wood mats to walk out onto out of the shower.

Campground was clean and well groomed. Facilities were a bit older but well taken care of. I would recommend this KOA while in the area.

Arrived after dark. Was taken to a tent site in trees almost no light. Got out of the car and was stepping in mud. The site had no grass as it had been churned up by a vehicle pushing brush into the trees. I was unable to set up the tent in the mess so I had to sleep in the back of my Honda Civic. In daylight I could see several well grassed sites nearby that were unused. Site 188. Office closed

Tent sites should be closer to restrooms since they don't have RVs with bathrooms. 10 for $10 wood wasn't the type of wood needed for bonfires. If was hard to keep lite, smoked and acted more like charcoal than anything. People where nice and a good location.

It was only a quick overnight but hosts were super friendly and park was setup nice. Great location as well, felt remote but easy access to interstate to continue on or travels.

Quick check in. We followed the golf cart to our site. Nice rest rooms/shower house. We didn’t use the pool, playground or any of the other amenities offered. We were headed to state fair so mainly slept and left for the day and came back and slept and checked out.

Nice convenient location. We were concerned about staying in a larger city, but this campground is more so in a rural setting, but conveniently located to be within minutes in Minneapolis. We felt very safe. The campground was well maintained and clean. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

In the past 6 weeks I have stayed in many KOA camps and this one beats the rest. It is half price of 1000 Islands by Kingston with better facilities

We stayed one night. The reception was lovely. All the staff were kind and helpful. The laundry area was fine. Around 730 pm we went for showers. I used the toilet, sink and shower. In the shower was a terrible odor. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. When my husband came back to the trailer I asked him how his shower was and he said the smell stifled him and he felt weak.

Our stay was great! The site we were assigned when we arrived was a little tight for our trailer, the staff were very helpful and moved us to a larger site. The park was very quite and well taken care of. We will definitely be back!

You need to regravel the sites and roads. It gets muddy there when it rains

Front desk was helpful and easy to communicate with when making a change to our reservation. We had a pull-thru FHU for an overnight. It was an easy spot to get into the the park is clean.

Lots are close together luckily only about 60 percent full. Service was good the place was quiet.
