Our first time camping at a KOA and we would definitely return when we go camping again! We camp in a tent so I was a little disappointed I couldn’t hang a clothes line, but they have good reason for not being able to hang them in trees and now we know for next time! Super clean bathrooms/showers and great staff! Would definitely recommend Mackinaw City KOA!

Camp ground was very clean. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. This is one of the nicest and will definitely go back when in the area.

The showers are connected to both the women’s and men’s restrooms. Twice there were men walking thru womens restroom to the showers. Not very safe and secure

We had a great time! The campground was clean and quiet and close to many attractions! The staff was incredibly friendly and all the amenities were clean and well maintained. We were very impressed!

We have never stayed at a KOA with so many rules, restrictions, micro management, and constant surveillance with staff riding around the park in golf carts checking on "things." The bathrooms were uncomfortable and stuffy and the co-ed showers were unpleasant. The first shower I tried to use had no pressure at all and was reported to someone in the office but they seemed not to care.

We were in and out very quickly but enjoyed our brief stay. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time! Everything was clean. Our daughter loved the pool. It was really nice having the shuttle to the Mackinac ferry too. Thank you so much!

It was a nice time, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Someone showed us exactly where our site was and offered some pointers for getting over to the island from the camp. It’s in a beautiful location to get into the city but far enough out that there’s minimal traffic noise from the highway. The bathrooms and showers were clean and up kept. We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay. The only problem we had was with the dump station that was out of commission. Usually not an issue, as one can pull into an empty full amenities lot and dump. But, we had to leave early and all was full at the park. This was a problem for several days, so KOA should have kept one full site open/not rented for those needing to dump. This wasn't thought out well. The rest was great.

Had an awesome stay. The staff are super friendly and it’s very clean. My daughter and I stay here 2 or 3 times a year. Love it here!!

Camp hosts were awesome and very accommodating. Bathhouse was always clean. Campground in the fall was ablaze of gorgeous colors

First time at KOA. Clean facility at first-- People who run it are friendly, but sites are too close. Pump went down/ no fault of theirs, no provision made for washing hands after using toilets! No buckets of water to flush with on that first day / campsite was full. Unsanitary. I tented so I could not wash for 3 days. No water supplied for washing, Can't use clotheslines to hang up wet things.

We had a nice relaxing 4 day stay 9/1-9/5. The last 2 days there was an issue with the water but we managed.

We stayed here in September 2023. Pretty campground. Our site was nice and level enough. Great service. The younger guy that led us to our site, made sure we were good. And the next day when we were waiting for a shuttle to the ferry, he saw us and gave us their number. Then later that day, he remembered us from the morning and asked if we ended up reaching the company with the shuttle. We were impressed. All in all we really liked our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to take your bike to Mackinak Island. There is a trail at the back of the park and it is an easy 10 minute ride to the ferry. You can buy your tickets and bike pass here too. Also easy bike ride to many restaurants Staff is friendly and helpful. (Nolan!!) Convenient and clean laundry. Campground is well maintained. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it!
