Fantastic group of people who work at this campground. From the owner to his entire staff they were friendly, approachable and just great to talk to. Park was clean! Bathrooms were very well maintained. The lots are great size and very well maintained. We will definitely stay again! To those who are seasonal employees maybe we will run into each other during the winter. God Bless

Truly enjoyed our stay during the couple of weeks we were in the area. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

It was great as usual except a big dog got away from its owner and almost got our little dog but I was able to lift her up quick with leash as she was wearing a harness. Also seen a big dog walking loose, I understand some dogs are friendly but you never know. Other than that and the rain which I know isn't koa fault it was fine. Looking forward to next year!! Thank you!

Ordered firewood, they never delivered the wood until the next day. My wife was using the restroom and two kids (boys)walked in. The way the restrooms and showers are connected felt very unsafe. Very uncomfortable we even left a day early. Not much in the store and closed way too early. Bus ride to the ferry is the only reason I am not giving a zero rating.40 plus years camping poor service.

We loved this campground and its proximity to Mackinaw City - just a quick bike ride through the Nature Trail and onto the bike path which takes you into town. The staff at the campground were the most friendly that we've encountered - from the check-in experience to the most amazing staff tooling around on golf carts. They were very helpful and provided excellent recommendations. Thank you!

Although a little pricey since we did not use amenities such as pool, playground etc, all of the employees were super friendly and helpful and it was a clean campground with very clean restrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, staff so friendly and in a great location. It was a bonus that the ferry shuttle came to the camp ground to pick us up. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great stay. Very friendly people who deliver fire wood to your site very quickly and have your trash picked up quickly also. Very clean grounds. Pool looked nice. Would definitely return.

Great location. Something for everyone: Access to state and national hiking trail directly from campground offers hiking or biking to Mackinaw city or further exploration. This is rate from my experience for any private owned park. Clean facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Decided to make this park and Mackinaw and Mackinac an annual visit!

My husband and I stayed at Mackinaw City KOA for a little over a week and had a great time. The campground is well kept, the sites are very nice and the camp store offers a variety of necessities and gifts! The staff are very helpful and super friendly. A special thank you to Mark, Kristie and the staff member who has the burmese dog! You guys rock!!! Thank you all for a great time!!!

After paying extra for a site next to our friends (which I thought was crazy) we ended up with flooded sites. I realize it was a lot of rain and we can’t control the weather. What did surprise me is KOA didn’t address this until we went to office to address and everything we had outside was damaged.KOA said he could drain. Feels like could have begun that without me complaining. No refund offe

Loved the Mackinaw City KOA! We stayed for a week and it was a great base for our adventures around the area from Traverse City to Mackinaw Island and a short trip into the UP! The staff could not have been more welcoming, constantly attentive, waving hello and saying hi as they went about their busy day keeping the campground running! The sites we great, we have a 33’ Super C pulling a Ram 1500

Everything is very much improved since our last stay. There was lots of improvements being done the last time. Park is very well maintained. Staff was wonderful. I would recommend this campground. Can't get much closer to the ferry to the island. They even have a shuttle to take you to the ferry.

We stayed in our Class C and enjoyed our time. Camp sites were nice and even, didn't even need any blocks. Decent dog park, GREAT staff, and a very convenient shuttle to the ferries to go to the island.

This was our first stay at a KOA and we are so pleased! The staff is amazing and so welcoming! We were escorted to our site and then they brought wood to us for our campfire. I would definitely recommend this place!

I’m a paraplegic and it was tough not being paved. Also the bathroom stall wasn’t big enough for me to shut the door when I was using. Wheelchair user it was tough. Staff was very friendly.

All of the workers are very nice. The only thing from making this a 5 star is the camp sites are very small. We were eating supper on the picnic table as our neighbor was dumping his sewage. The drain pipe is located right next to the table.

Site was nice size. No cable for TV at site. This isn't clear on the brochure so I would ask. Bought the firewood at camp store and hard to get started and smoked horribly.

Noisy an no cable hookup an it said we had it an the wood that was sold there smoked a lot an the guys in golf carts keep driving around a lot had a noisy neighbor they kept yelling an kids climbing in an out a back window an the office hours to short needs to be till 10 pm an the shower room is not fit for a large person an it’s coed not cool for young children KOA as I was a kid this was not

The shower heads probably cost $2 a piece in 1989 and appear to not have changed since that time. 4 co-ed showers for 100 sites was insufficient. All of the KOA campgrounds we've stayed at in the last 2 years had complimentary coffee, this KOA charges for it and gives a $.50 discount if you bring your own cup. This may be normal in this tourist region, but severely failed to meet expectations.

This is a nice and clean campground. The staff is amazing and helpful. We loved the shuttle service to and from the ferry.
