Cabin; only a ceiling fan with open windows to cool. Fan/light pullchain 6ft high. We are 5' 4"! Mattress was warm and uncomfortable. The KOA near Des Moines has deluxe cabins, with air, ability to cook inside ( hot plate, toaster and micro) none of which was allowed here. Refridgerator questionably warm. Bathroom has wasted space. Laundry good. Small campground- ltd amenities. Close 2 Headlands.

Amazing customer service and such friendly people. Only thing we had issues with was no hot/warm water for showers in the Cabin.

Everything was in tip top shape at the campground as usual! Doug, Kathleen and crew were kind, welcoming, helpful and informative as always. The rainy weather prevented any swimming in the pool but it was still clean and ready to go in case it stopped. The bathrooms were clean as well, like usual. This is our favorite KOA and we have been coming here for decades. We'll be back! Thanks!!

It was very nice and we had a great time. Was a little disappointed the pool didn’t seem to be heated as advertised. The thing is it would be nice if there was a change machine for the laundry mate.

You can tell they were making improvements, the cabin I stayed in was clean and comfortable, the campsites nearby were clean and organized, had fun at the pool in late afternoon. Every day was over 90 degrees so good shade helped keep cabin cool. Only cons were only one set of bathrooms up front, not even Porta potties sprinkled about. Second wasn't being able to park up front until check-in

Excellent facility. Stayed in a cabin. Much better than a hotel and shuttle service extremely convenient. Park bathrooms etc spotless. Everyone very friendly and professional.

when the smoke detector went off in our cabin (no smoke was present) it took over an hour for maintenance to address and fix the problem.

Outstanding! Campground is one of the best and most well maintained I've stayed at. Place is run like a well oiled machine with great amenities and seldom seen features like trash collection and wood/ice delivery.

The KOA was clean and great for a one night stay, we stayed with our dogs (please note only two dogs are allowed in the cabins this was important since we normally camp with more of our dogs). The bathrooms were clean and tidy and it allowed for a great stay along our trip. Very close to the Ferry and downtown Mackinaw City!

Exceptionally well run and organized. Smooth checkin. Dog friendly. Much quieter than massive competitors like Mill Creek. Consistently cleanest restrooms we've seen at a campground.

Nice pool, cute little cabin (no A/C so it may not work well on a hot day or bring a good fan), nice staff, nice wooded, shady area, would stay again.

Just a one night stay in a cabin. Cabin was clean upon arrival. Bathrooms were clean and staff kept them well maintained. This is my second time here and I’ll surely stay again!

We stayed in the cabins! It was great and fit our family well. I loved the firewood or ice delivery service, how convenient! The only thing I would improve on is maybe having some later camp store hours, every night we got back and couldn’t ever make it back in time. Other than that our stay was wonderful!

Nice KOA in a great location close to everything. Staff was great, had a ton of trees, & sites/cabins well maintained. Only slight downside is the bathrooms/showers were a little run down. The toilet stalls didn’t lock properly & the vents in the shower rooms really didn’t do a good job removing the humidity. However, they were cleaned regularly, had plenty of water pressure & hot water.

My husband and I stayed in a cabin, instead of setting up the tent for one night. We thought the cabin was quite cozy, and enjoyed the porch swing, fire ring and cooking grill. We would definitely rent a KOA cabin again. It was a great value in a great campground!

We had to stay our last night here because the KOA across the bridge didn’t have a place to stay after I reserved months ago. Long story dealing with that issue! One bathroom for the entire campgrounds! I was shocked! Also do away with Coed showers too dangerous for young kids! No tv and microwaves in all your cabins that’s crazy! Add these things and charge a little extra

I love this campground! The only issue we had during our stay was the staff thinking we left our dogs unattended but we never left them alone someone was with them the whole time they never tried knocking on the door they just assumed. Other than that it’s a great campground!

I went here during the summer and it was great, the workers are very friendly and always trying to help. The bike path is very fun to ride on. The only problem I have is they don't want you to put anything up and I put up my portable hammock, and they said to take it down .

I have been to Mackinac City and Island a couple of times, and each time it was excellent experience! The moment you board the ferry to the island the journey to the past starts. It's just so peaceful and relaxing at the island without the noise and pollution of the motor vehicles. The fudge and speciality food on the island is a must have while there.
