I planned a one night stop at the KOA in Mackinaw City. I was using it as a quick stop between campgrounds. Now that I am home from my two week long trip I wish I would have used it as a base for most of the trip. The campground was clean. Everyone was courteous. Really appreciated the recycling bag and trash/recycling pick up. On my next trip to the area I will definitely stay at this KOA.

Very friendly, courteous staff. Very clean bathrooms/showers. Sites are close together. Lots of activities for kids. The pool is heated!

Nice quiet campground, staff is friendly, very convenient to Mackinac Island. Appreciated the dog park. Only complaint is we have never had so many people walk through our campground, both adults and kids.

Right off I75 making it convenient to get to area attractions. Sight was level and long enough. Yellow jackets were ther only problem.

Very well kept campground. Staff friendly. One of the best KOA’s we have stayed in. Appreciated the shuttle service from the campground to boat for ride to Mackinac Island. Would highly recommend this campground.

Nice KOA in a great location close to everything. Staff was great, had a ton of trees, & sites/cabins well maintained. Only slight downside is the bathrooms/showers were a little run down. The toilet stalls didn’t lock properly & the vents in the shower rooms really didn’t do a good job removing the humidity. However, they were cleaned regularly, had plenty of water pressure & hot water.

Was there for 5 days. Enjoyed the quietness. Everyone I talked to was friendly. Watching the staff keep the place clean and help others was great. Only down side for me was the last 2 days, never knew the Oak trees leaked that bad. I have some cleaning to do. Place is close to town/ freeway. Would stay again.!

Beautiful campground, friendly staff. Wish there was a shuttle provided by the campground to take guests into Mackinac City (I know there is a shuttle provided if you are buying ferry tickets to get to the island). We do not tow a car and we’re unable to tour the city. No Ubers, and the taxi service charges $25 just to get to the island, plus a fare. Some KOAs have shuttles at a min rate ($5-$7)

Camp ground was very clean. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. This is one of the nicest and will definitely go back when in the area.

A Walmart is quieter, water source did not work. They put us right behind a busy road. We only stayed 3 hours and left. They refused to give any money back 48$ lost. Terrible place

Nolan was great, we traveled from the west coast so we arrived around 11:00 and he showed us where to wait and let us know as soon as our space was available. He stepped up when Pam rudely told us to leave and find a place in town where they accept rugs, we didn’t even know where town was.

Very nice campground close to everything in town. I left my watchdog surge protector on the pedestal and received a call to come back and pick it up 10 minutes after we left.

The showers are connected to both the women’s and men’s restrooms. Twice there were men walking thru womens restroom to the showers. Not very safe and secure

Upon arrival we where felt welcomed and treated to exceptional service. This was our first time staying at a KOA and it will not be our last. The shuttle service was a nice convenience.

We put in the notes for a satellite friendly site. Lady checking us in not too friendly and says all are sites are satellite friendly. We had the most trees and was not satellite friendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your feedback. Our full pull thru sites are wooded and shady and depending upon which satellite service, and what direction you need to face your dish, it can be tricky to find the right site. We do have some deluxe patio sites in the open and will try to get you in of them next time

Stayed 20 days at this wonderful KOA. Extremely efficient well organized and polite. Facilities such as the bath houses,showers, swimming pool and grounds were extremely clean.Very pleasant experience!

Wonderful campground! Camp store, bathrooms, laundry facilities, pool, nature trail, etc. were all very well maintained. Dishwashing station needs some work.

We had a great time! The campground was clean and quiet and close to many attractions! The staff was incredibly friendly and all the amenities were clean and well maintained. We were very impressed!

We stayed here in September 2023. Pretty campground. Our site was nice and level enough. Great service. The younger guy that led us to our site, made sure we were good. And the next day when we were waiting for a shuttle to the ferry, he saw us and gave us their number. Then later that day, he remembered us from the morning and asked if we ended up reaching the company with the shuttle. We were impressed. All in all we really liked our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to take your bike to Mackinak Island. There is a trail at the back of the park and it is an easy 10 minute ride to the ferry. You can buy your tickets and bike pass here too. Also easy bike ride to many restaurants Staff is friendly and helpful. (Nolan!!) Convenient and clean laundry. Campground is well maintained. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it!
