Lovely campground and attentive hosts. We enjoyed our two night stay and recommend this clean, attractive KOA. We stayed in a cabin and I had to chuckle: every time I thought “I need a hook”, there it was in a logical place. So many nice touches! Thank you.

My husband and I traveled to Mackinaw City to spend a bulk of our time hiking and visiting the dark sky park and this was the perfect campground to be at! We stayed here while visiting the area. The campground was nice and quiet and the people were friendly. Our campsite had a brand new gas grill and a propane tank on the patio. I was the first person to use it. We had steaks for dinner every night.

We had a wonderful time and the KOA was a great place to stay while visiting Mackinaw for the Labor Day holiday. Great area close to shopping and the ferry. Campground was clean and staff very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Not sure why this is a Koa journey? It’s most definitely a destination with mackinaw city, the bridge , mackinaw island, the fort etc. should be a koa holiday. Clean, great bathrooms, friendly staff and again great location. One of my favorite campgrounds!

Great KOA. Staff was the friendliest staff of any KOA we have stayed in. They have fun and enjoy working with each other - which is so great to see !! Great location with trail to walk or bike right into Mackinow City. Highly recommend.

Excellent stay! Campground staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Sites were roomy and convenient to everything. Location is excellent for visiting Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island!

The fact that both ferry services picks you up at office is a mazing, Kristy and the rest of staff did a great job, set the garbage beside road and picked up in minutes. Thanks again for a great stay

We had a wonderful time at the campground. Everyone was very nice and very helpful. Loved how close to the City the site was, but still peaceful. The trail was nice and love that it connects to town.

Great campground, staff and location! Walked or biked to Mackinaw City, only used the car once to go across the bridge to St Ignace. Already booked for Labor Day 2027.

Perfect spot to camp near Mackinaw City. Close enough to wal or bike into town. Quiet, clean campground with level sites. Staff is very accommodating, helpful and friendly.

Had a low opinion of KOA campgrounds since we always stay at State Parks but your campground changed that. Was great place. Thanks for being there!

Nice, well maintained campground. Friendly staff. Loved that their nature trail connects with the county paved bike path that leads to town. Perfect way to get to the city and not worry about parking especially if doing the Labor Day Bridge walk.

Our site (70) was not cleaned before we arrived on Sun 8/30 so onions and other debris were all over the grill and shelves. Also, there was a large grease spot on the patio and what looked like dog poop smear. We moved the table and chairs over it so our dogs would not step in it. We selected this site to have a paw pen so were not able to move.

Loves it very quiet place. Only thing I would recommend is changing the pool chemicals to salt water (bromine is very harsh and people can’t swim In that). Also pool was a bit too warm. It can breed germs when it’s that warm.

Staff was very friendly and went well beyond expectations! We enjoyed talking with Mark. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating is because I am not usually a koa user. I feel like the sites are too close together and the price is usually too high. They are usually very convenient for overnight stays, but not for 4 or more nights. Thanks for being there though!

Wonderful stay! The campground was extremely well kept. The KOA team were ready to help any need. They were friendly and hard working. The City was close in fact we were able to walk the Bridge on Labor Day! I would definitely camp here again.

Best thing about this KOA is the workers! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Perfect location for visiting the island and only a bike ride to downtown and the ferry! Site was a little tight for our 45 Ft and vehicle but we made it work.

We stay twice a year every year. Always very clean. Friendly and helpful camp personnel. Perfect location to explore from. Can’t say enough good about how nice it is there. Pool, dog park, playground. Cabins are clean and comfortable. Nice walking trail that you can take all the way to town. Nice sized spaces for your RV. The personnel are the best. You won’t regret staying there

We stayed in cabin 9. While it was tiny, we made it work. Everything from the pool, bathrooms, cabin, and grounds were clean! The staff was beyond nice and we had fun trying to dunk the manager in the dunk tank. Wonderful vacation and we'll definitely come back but in a bigger cabin with our little dog!

This is the second time we stayed at this campground and I think we will stay here next time we return to the area. It is so convenient to explore the area. We stayed here with the motorhome but spent a couple of nights on Mackinac Island. The campground has a discount with ��Sheplers Ferry. We never used them but decided to give it a try. This was our first time camping at a KOA and we were so happy and impressed with our stay! Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and personable, the amenities were all clean, well kept and added to our experience! Truly one of the highlights of our honeymoon roadtrip!

This park was Gorgeous! We only stayed one night and wish we had more. The sight was level with a large patio and table and chairs. We faced lovely trees. Although conveniently located there was no road noise. It was great. Thank you.

Staff was particularly helpful in several ways. Stopping to check on us and offer to help, picking up trash, bringing firewood, and just being friendly.
